"We went to visit and it was good, it's very nice, and everybody there was very nice. We enjoyed the visit to their memory care unit. The person who assisted us was very good and very professional. She showed us the rooms, the amenities, the cafeteria, the place where they play games, and the hair salon."

"I got my mom in North Pointe. They are very nice, they take good care of her, they have activities, and she seems to be well-adjusted. She has a bedroom with her own personal bed and dresser, her pictures, TV, and walkers, they have a room too where she can sit and visit, and there is another lady that has the bedroom next to her. This is a little suite with two bedrooms. The facility has all kinds of sitting rooms, TVs, and all kinds of activities. They have Bingo, and yesterday they had some children coming inside and being there with them. And then, they played dominoes, and some form of basketball where they can sit and play. They take very good care of mom, and we can go in anytime. They always call me -- because I'm her POA -- before anybody takes her away from the facility for anything, and if anything happens or they need me for anything, they would call. The day mom moved in, my baby sister and I had lunch with her, and the food was very good. "

"Spring Park seems nice. One of my friends there has started playing bridge again, which she gave up for years because she didn't have anyone to play with, and she has friends who play bridge now, so she's happily playing bridge again. Most of the people seem quite content there. It seems like they have a very tight knit community. It seems like the residents get along well together, and it seems like they have a lot of fun, so they have a lot of activities. They have a craft area that they can do small crafts, and they have people who come in to entertain who do music. I think my friend likes Spring Park. She seems to like it. She's adjusted well. She lived alone, and she lived out in the country, so she didn't see many people, and so that was a problem for her. The staff seems nice. The place is very clean and very neat. The apartments are quite comfortable. It's a very nice-looking place from the outside, and the inside is very neat and very clean. Every time I visit, it looks like they're active, either they have a musical program or something. I know they have a beauty shop, and I think they have an activities director who does nails or what have you."

"It is very nice, and the rooms are very nice and very clean. The staff is very friendly. The dining room is very nice and has menus, so if you don’t want what’s there, you tell them, and they will fix you something different. Some of the people there have small dogs with them. Pets are allowed as long as the residents are able to take care of them. "

"We toured The Residences at Park Place. It's very nice, very clean, and comfortable. Spacious rooms. They have patios. The memory care side is very safe. They have a fence around. If they decide to start wandering off, they can't get out. It's very nice. I was very impressed with that. The rooms were very clean and well taken care of. They have one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms available. Even the studio apartment is spacious enough to hold a bed, a chair, and some furniture, and it has a little kitchen in it. It's nice. All of them are nice. They have a refrigerator in the room. The dining area was very nice. They even have a private dining room area where if you want to reserve it for a certain occasion or something, you can use it for that. They also have a small separate dining room, and they have a big dining room and all of them are nice and very well kept. The one thing I was impressed with, too, is that they have a pastor there and they have church every weekend. The staff was very nice. They were very attentive to the memory care patients. I was just very impressed."

"My brother moved into The Blake at Hollingsworth Park. He's been there a couple of weeks. He's in the memory care. It is wonderful. We are extremely pleased. It's a new facility. It's very clean. The rooms are large, and they have their own bathrooms with a walk-in shower. It's very roomy. The staff bend over backwards to help you. The food has been just superb. He actually looks like he's gaining some weight now. They have an activity director, and they do activities with the patients. I think anyone who went there would be very pleased with it. We're very pleased with what we're paying."

"Legacy has become a family to our family. And this is exactly the situation you hope for. The staff listens out for input. They are warm and caring. During COVID-19, they have taken actions to keep residence safe. They have a newly painted lovely facility in a convenient location. We can easily pick up snack groceries just across the way to bring for our mom to keep in her efficient kitchenette. A lovely caring lady, Joni, makes her bed and puts away her laundry. Our mom is so grateful for her. During normal times, there are wonderful activities that she thoroughly enjoys such as exercise, games, music, worship, Wine and cheese, and exceptional Holiday events all organized by their most wonderful activity director, Courtney. Everything Courtney plans is fun and puts a smile on your face. Families feel very included. There is excellent communication with families. And they are quite approachable to discuss any questions. We feel very blessed to have found this wonderful location and home."

"I went to Harmony at Five Forks yesterday. It was a very nice place. Everything was clean and well kept. I went to all three areas. After talking with the representative, the level of care for my mom would probably be memory care. The rooms were small but very nice. They had a large bathroom big enough to get a walker in or a wheelchair if you had to, and everything was nice and clean. The lady that took me around explained that they had some activities, but I don't remember what they were. It was right around lunchtime and there weren't any activities going on at that particular time. The dining area was nice. Everything was clean and homey looking. It reminded me more of a restaurant than a facility where they take care of people. The staff were very nice, especially the lady that took me around and showed me on the tour. She was very nice. Everybody was very friendly."

"My mom is staying in Brookstone Terrace of Simpsonville. The facility itself is beautiful. It's clean, nice, and new. We just have a little trouble with the help sometimes. We really don't feel like they're doing everything that they could be doing. We're having to take turns to go up and give my mom a bath and change her clothes because she wore the same clothes for four or five days, and that's kind of frustrating for us. I'm about an hour and 15 minutes away, and even though I don't work, it is time consuming to go up there, and it takes a whole day. Some of the staff members seem like they care, and some of them it's just a job. They have crafts and they try to do activities with them. They don't take them outside as much as I would like them to. I feel like all of them need to go outside when it's pretty. They don't do that a lot, and they don't encourage that a lot. It kind of aggravates my sister and me. I go two or three times a week, and every time I go there, these three or four ladies all they ever do is sleep, they never get up, and they don't go to lunch. When I go and talk to them, they would get up and move around, but nobody really seems to push that. The dining area is fine. The food is good if it is a non-resident eating it. A lot of the people don't have any teeth. They only have a few teeth. We've actually complained about it and had several talks with them, but the managers keep changing. You kind of feel like you're a hamster on a wheel. We get really frustrated with that because they bring like a big piece of ham, but nobody eats it because they can't chew it up and they can't eat it. My sister and I bring a lot of stuff from home and try to keep stuff in my mom's fridge and all, but everybody doesn't have that. I see a lot of them when they bring them their dinner or lunch, they just push it away because they can't eat it, and I feel so bad for them. The place itself, the biggest part of it, is clean and maintained. It's very nice. But I have to go in my mom's room and mop it. "

"They are attentive to the clients. If you notice something that needs to be done, they take care of it right away. "

"We toured Manning Square. It was nice. It smelled good. The people were really nice and had all the information that I needed. The staff showed us the calendar, but I didn't read it. I know they go on field trips. They take the veterans on field trips and stuff. The staff was nice."

"My dad moved to Six Mile Retirement Center and he really enjoys it. It's a small community, they really take care of my dad, and the nurses and staff are very nice. The only thing is that they only have one phone, so it's hard to get a hold of them when you have to. For the most part, they answer, but you have to call several times. Other than that, it's great. Most of the staff members are very nice, very personable, when I call they're always joking with my dad. There's only one person that isn't friendly, but other than that, everybody is really nice. I have not been there because of COVID, but he said that he has his own TV in his room and he's not sharing a room with anybody. He says that the food is fine; he's not picky though."

"Presbyterian Home has five facilities in South Carolina. My mom was in rehab at their facility in Foothills. The rehab department was very good. Though, on the skilled care site, in my opinion, they needed additional staff there. Mom didn't participate in their activities because she was there for rehab. However, they did have numerous of stuff to do both inside and outside the facility. In general, we really like the place. Regarding recommending it, it would depend on the level of care that the person would need. I would recommend though that people take a look at it. "

"It was pleasant as it could be. Most of the residents who were mobile were in the attractive front room. It was a large area, and the those who were able to walk sat in regular chairs."
