Kauhale Pettigru was recommended by two physical therapy places that my relative was in. When she got out of those, they gave us a list of what they would recommend for her and that one was second on the list. It's also within her price range. It's a fantastic place. They take care of everything. They do laundry. They do meds. They do physical therapy in-house. They have a dining room with a fireplace. They have an outdoor patio. It's pet friendly if you want to bring your pet. It's amazing. What stood out were the staff and the cleanliness. It's the top. It basically looks like a home. It's got a grand staircase going up to the second floor. It's got an activity room right past the receptionist desk where they play games and a patio off the back of that. They have outings that they go to on their bus around town. They take them to their doctor's office visits away from the facility. It's included in their charge. It's amazing. They're proactive. They do room and hall checks. She also has the panic button she can push around her neck on a key fob. They're very responsive. They post a menu every week of what their entrees, sides, and desserts are going to be. It looks like something that anybody would enjoy. It's not the same daily. They have an in-house chef that cooks for them. Everything is immaculate. They have no carpets in the room. Each room has the luxury vinyl top floor where it's easy to move around and keeps the dust down. They clean every room top to bottom, showers, bathrooms, everything. They also have a refrigerator and a little freezer, and they have a microwave. They have a cabinet for storage. They have a large closet for her stuff. She enjoys it. They play bingo, they do puzzles, and they have story times where somebody comes in and tells a story. They have a balcony off the back of that. They have a fireplace in that room. It's got real comfortable chairs and seating. They do outings in their van. They take them around town just to get out of the facility. They walk them down the halls. They also have healthcare workers that come in and do physical therapy for them in their rooms twice a week. They have doctors that check on them. They have a nurse that comes by. They do the laundry for you. They have three meals a day for you. They have a clean, nice facility there. They have staff that respond and appreciate taking care of the residents. It's always welcoming when you go. They have fresh flowers there. The grounds are kept nice. I told my wife that if something happens to me, that would be a place that I could enjoy. They have TVs, radio, phone, and internet, so everything is there.

My mother will be moving into Kauhale Pettigru. I liked the location. It's convenient to my hometown and for all my siblings to get to. I liked the setting. It's in Downtown Greenville, so there are lots of trees and pretty outdoors. I liked that it's a smaller community. There are 20 people in memory care. It would be more conducive to the staff being more attentive. They're not overloaded. I had a pleasant experience. I liked the director who showed me around. She's very nice, very knowledgeable, and she knows her stuff. It was very clean. They had a patio and nice outdoor spaces. They had one that had a grill setup and an outdoor picnic area. They had another one that was sort of like a walking trail that just looped around the back. It was really nice.

We went to visit and it was good, it's very nice, and everybody there was very nice. We enjoyed the visit to their memory care unit. The person who assisted us was very good and very professional. She showed us the rooms, the amenities, the cafeteria, the place where they play games, and the hair salon.
