"We went to Summit Place & Summit Court. It wasn't appropriate for my mother because she would have to walk outside without cover to get her meals, so on rainy days or cold days with frequent snow days, she would not be able to get her food. She was the one that decided that wasn't for her. Their independent living is like little condos, and that wasn't going to work for her. It's got more assisted living and very little independent living, and the independent living is outside the main building, like little condos. The staff who gave the tour was very nice, very helpful, and very professional. She was the marketing manager."

"I am thankful for my home in The Cascades. My needs & concerns are always met efficiently and with care. I recently lost the use of my air conditioning unit and my washer. Maintenance replied quickly. Both problems were evaluated and found needing to be replaced. I now have a new washer and dryer and air conditioning unit. My apartment is now always comfortable, and my clothes are clean. I am very grateful to the maintenance workers who put my needs into action. Special thanks to Belez, Cristian and Brian."

"I moved into Merrill Gardens at Greenville. I chose it because it was just what I needed as far as convenience and price. It's convenient to all of downtown Greenville, and the price is reasonable. It's a modern new building. It's a pleasurable place to live. It has all new, modern equipment. The staff is friendly, very knowledgeable about everything, helpful, and moving. Once you get in, just be in there if you need them. The food is excellent. It's all prepared fresh, the quantity and quality are good, and it's cooked very well. It's got a gym and a swimming pool, which is very nice, and they have activities daily."

"Overture Greenville 55+ Apartment Homes was an excellent community. The place was immaculate. I liked it. It's just that I couldn't afford the rent. The people were friendly. They seemed to try and provide social activities for the community, which was very nice. It's a very social place. The apartments were clean and up to date."

"My wife moved into Rolling Green Village. We chose them because they are one of the top two or three in Greenville. What I liked best is the care of the patients. Her apartment is adequate, and the food was excellent. The staff is experienced, has relatively long tenures, and is skilled. They are also doing a lot to keep her engaged with activities, friendships, and plenty of things to do."

"All of the people at The Woodlands at Furman were friendly. They were all very outgoing, informative, and inquisitive about what kind of activities and things the residents are interested in. It's a gorgeous place. The food was great. Everything was beautiful and there were tons of activities, but it was just too big. On our tour, it was about close to a mile of walking back and forth from the rooms to the pool and beauty salon. So, anybody with a walker is going to be tired by the time they get to wherever they're going."

"My mother is a resident of The Springs at Simpsonville. I like the fact that they've got a friendly staff. They are very accommodating, and they offer the services that my mother needs. She has a studio with a private bath. Her room is single, so she doesn't have anybody else in there. It's large enough to accommodate her bed and to also form a sitting area. They typically have an activity in the morning. Like this morning, they were going offsite to a religious service. We ate there as a family when mother checked in, and the food was really quite good. They have a marvelous activities director."

"Bayberry Retirement Inn was a nice place. It had big rooms. It was clean and neat. It did not have an odor. "

"I toured Foothills Retirement Community. They're a very nice place, at the top of the line, with many activities. It's more like a hotel. They're very nice. I only dealt with one person. He was very nice, very helpful, and toured the whole area. He just answered all my questions. They have apartments and they have one-bedroom facilities. They have a lot, depending on how much you want to pay, and what your needs are. If you need more care, they probably have you in a one bedroom with a bath included. They have everything like game rooms and an outside courtyard area with a fireplace. It's very nice."

"We have my mother on the waiting list for the Legacy Reserve at Fairview Park. The staff members are very helpful and very friendly. They are a caring community. The rooms are very spacious and clean. They look very nice. The dining room is beautiful. It is set up very nicely. I would tell others that they're very helpful. If they have any questions, they will answer them for them, and if they don't know the answer, they will find it for you."

"We have my sister on the waitlist at Quillen Manor. We were impressed by the cleanliness, the staff interaction, and the size of the facility. The staff was very accommodating, friendly, and interactive, and all the interactions we had with them were very professional. She will have a larger studio. One of the main factors for us that was positive was that it's an all-inclusive rate. They had a courtyard, a library, various places where families could meet together, and a nice dining room. All the facilities and amenities were very nice."

"I toured Serenity at Easley. They were very friendly and very willing to help. They gave us a good tour of the building. Some of the clients were very friendly. They came to greet us and asked us if we were going to be there. It was a very pleasant experience. The kitchen in the room was very small, and that's one thing that turned me off because I love to cook. The place was very neat and clean though. They showed us where the dining area was, and that was very neat and tidy."

"Mom has been here for 4 years, currently in the memory care area. She is very well cared for and seems to just love the caregivers. Food is great, she often will eat all on her plate. The staff is great! You can tell they love the residents. I would definitely recommend this as sisted living!"
