"My Mother is currently at the Cascades facility in rehab recoverning from pnumonia. I have nothing put positive remarks and praise for all the physical therapist, nurses, etc. They strive to go above and beyond their job requirements to make sure my Mother is comfortable and to get the assistance see needs. I would certainly recommend this facility to anyone whom is concerned about their loved ones well being. "

"We moved to Merrill Gardens at Greenville, and it's very, very good. The food is good, and they're always changing their menu, and when people make suggestions, they try to incorporate those into the menu. They have someone that comes once a week and does the floors and the bathrooms and cleans the counters, and those kinds of things. The building itself is well-maintained. It's a very well-built building. It isn't that old. It's a nice facility and has lots of public spaces if you want to entertain people. They have a parlor. They have a gym. They have an outdoor pool and elevators. They have activities. They have a bus that can take you to medical appointments. They also take you weekly to the grocery store if you want to go, and they do have outings with them, as well as a staff on board that does a whole set of activities. Every day is something different. The staff is the very best. They're caring. They stay up on things. They bother to know who you are. In the restaurant, they try to know what your preferences are. They're very friendly, always upbeat, and they're always available. I think they're exceptional. It's not cheap, and you have to be at least 62 to come here."

"My aunt and I toured Overture GVL at the showroom with Sherri. She was awesome! Sherri shared all floor plans, kept us up to date on the progress of the building, and made us feel like we were part of the community before we even moved in!! We were so excited when we were able to take an actual tour 😊 and there again she was very thorough and so friendly!! I would highly recommend!!!"

"I am a resident of Rolling Green Village (RGV) and also well experienced in senior facilities through life. experien- ces. I have been here 9 years and have found it to be an excellent place to live. The previous reviewer found those inside amenities not used because residents are out and busy doing things. RGV recently added an indoor exercise pool to go along with its Wellness Program (what a bonus). The staff is warm, caring and knows most residents by name. jThe food is excellent - the previous reviewer should have stayed for lunch. RGV's proximity to Greenville makes it ideal for those interested in symphony music, art museums, festivals, etc. It is a mere three hours from Charleston and just a couple to Atlanta or Charlotte. Plus---the airport is minutes from RGV. You may not live here but you should at least come see it. "

"We visited The Woodlands several times before my friend made up her mind that's where she wanted to go. I like the way it was very upbeat. It was very lively and very active. The place was beautiful. What I really like was their attitude with keeping everything very vibrant. The activities were just great and all the things they did just really, really nice. The people that are there seemed to be very happy with everything. It just felt like this is a great place because everybody was doing something. It wasn't like an old folk's home. There were lots of going on. The other thing that really impressed us was the quality of the food. It was absolutely outstanding. Those two things really what sold her on that place. With regards to activities, they have the general run of the mill things, but in addition to that, they provide a lot of outside entertainment. For instance, they had a Kentucky Derby Day. Just recently we went to a dance they had there with live music and lots of food. The rooms were all very good size. My friend has a large living room with a dining area. It has a very nice kitchen fully appointed. She has laundry room and one bathroom. She can have it painted any colors that you want. It looks out on a garden. It is very nice. I would definitely recommend this. "

"My mother is in The Springs at Simpsonville. She absolutely loves it. It’s excellent, very caring staff, just all-around superb care. Very good food, lots and lots of activities so she’s much more active than she could have been when she was with me. We’re very happy. "

"Bayberry Retirement Inn was a nice place. It had big rooms. It was clean and neat. It did not have an odor. "

"We chose Foothills Retirement Community for my father because they have assisted living, memory care, rehab, and skilled nursing all in the same grounds. He's in memory care now and if he has a medical issue, they have a nurse practitioner on the property that can take a look at him, or he can go straight into their rehab or skilled nursing facility if needed. They have continuity of care. The staff is excellent. They've got really good food. The rooms are a little small, but it can accommodate everything he has. Everything else is very good. They take them out a couple times a week and have music come in. They're always busy."

"We have my mother on the waiting list for the Legacy Reserve at Fairview Park. The staff members are very helpful and very friendly. They are a caring community. The rooms are very spacious and clean. They look very nice. The dining room is beautiful. It is set up very nicely. I would tell others that they're very helpful. If they have any questions, they will answer them for them, and if they don't know the answer, they will find it for you."

"I didn't like Quillen Manor. The walk for meals was downhill and the walk back was uphill; I don't do well with strenous walking. Each apartment was on ground level. In fact, they were building more while I was there. Everything looked new. It was newer than the other community, but it was the walk that got me. The room was very nice; it looked new. However, they only serve one meal a day. The staff was very pleasant and very nice. She was a substitute, but she was still very well-dressed, very nice, and very knowledgeable."

"I toured Serenity at Easley. They were very friendly and very willing to help. They gave us a good tour of the building. Some of the clients were very friendly. They came to greet us and asked us if we were going to be there. It was a very pleasant experience. The kitchen in the room was very small, and that's one thing that turned me off because I love to cook. The place was very neat and clean though. They showed us where the dining area was, and that was very neat and tidy."

"I would love to move my mom to Ashlan Village. It's very elegant, well-designed and well-decorated. It's absolutely beautiful. The person who assisted me there was absolutely wonderful. I love that the dining room has a lake view. I loved the facility. They have a huge hair salon and they cater to the community and not just to their facility. The landscaping is beautiful. They had some games going when I was there, and I saw the calendar of events with karaoke, singing, and different trips they had planned for fall and winter."
