I moved into LaurelHurst & LaurelWoods, and I am in their independent living. The place is very impressive. It's very clean and the halls are inviting. The apartments are above adequate. The staff is very friendly and concerned. I have more than enough things to keep me busy. I really haven't engaged in much of their activities but I know they are going out on a tour tomorrow. They also play games of dominoes and cards. The dining area is very pleasant. The food is acceptable. It's not that great but it feeds the body. Sometimes it's good and sometimes it's not so good.

LaurelHurst & LaurelWoods is one that my parents said they would be interested in if we could afford it. They had activities throughout. Of particular interest, I saw a lot of ladies having lunch together in the cafeteria and laughing. My mother is very social, so that is something that she would enjoy. They had an exit out in the back if you wanted it. They had a nice cafeteria. We met several residents who were very pleased and I could envision my mom's furniture in the assisted living because my dad would have to be in memory care. She had a nice view. It's a town that she's comfortable with, and the people there appear to be happy. It was one of the better ones that were in my price range. The staff was kind. It's very clean. It appeared to be new. I don't remember how old it was, but the rooms were well taken care of and the staff took me in one that was furnished with the permission of the person that lived there and one that was not furnished and they appeared to be very well taken care of. The food smelled great.

LaurelHurst & LaurelWoods is beautiful. They have very friendly staff. The facility is well-kept, nice, and clean. It is just a really nice facility. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They seem to have an active community. They do a lot for their residents. They have a gym, salon, meals, and activities on a weekly basis. They also take them to places twice a week, if needed. Pretty much all you need is right there.

LaurelHurst & LaurelWoods was a very nice and clean facility. The tour guide was very informative. She knew all the residents that we came around by name and spoke to them. I was impressed with that. There were a lot of activity areas. They have a library, an activity room where they do exercise, a dining room, a craft area, and all kinds of different little areas that are gathering places for different things.

LaurelHurst & LaurelWoods was very nice and a little more affordable. The woman that did the tour was lovely. She even offered to do a Zoom meeting with my aunt, so she could see what I saw. I thought that was very nice. When we were doing the tours, the residents would stop her. They all seemed lovely and looked like they enjoyed living there. It was a beautiful facility. They were remodeling some of the rooms and had really pretty flooring with stainless steel appliances. The apartment was very nice. They were a good size. The kitchen had a newer dishwasher. They also do trips to different theater groups. Then they have exercise programs and a library with rooms for people to do puzzles, read, or be on the computer, church services, crafts, and a beauty salon. It was a newer, beautiful building with stone finish. The inside was very pretty. The only thing was it's like a half hour away from our house.

Very impressed with the cleanliness of all areas, especially during these uncertain times. Bathrooms, common areas, and rooms are always sanitary and welcoming. This and the kind, thoughtful care given to our loved one make us happy to have chosen it. There are always staff available to talk to about activities, programs, and the well- being of my mother-in-law. It gives us the peace of mind we need to know she is in such good hands.

Excellent facility for family (or friends) - have had a good experience. The staff are kind and helpful, the administration goes above and beyond to accommodate individual needs and make residents comfortable. The rooms are so nice and cozy. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for care for a loved one. Great care and support provided to any one who stays there.

Anyone who has had to deal with transitioning a loved one from independent living to assisted living knows how stressful that can be. Krystal and the rest of the Staff are AMAZING! They have made my grandmother’s transition as smooth and stress free as possible. Laurelwoods meets all of her needs in a warm and inviting atmosphere while also providing our family with the peace of mind she is safe and cared for!

The staff at LauarelHurst and Laurel Woods was nice. They had an opening for memory care, and the location was good. The staff that I met there was friendly, informative, and accommodating. They do things like outings, group events, and group meals. They have life care stations for those in memory care so that they can do things that they may have done when they were younger. There's a hospital right across the street.

My mother-in-law has moved into LaurelHurst & LaurelWoods. I think what we like so much about it was the warm atmosphere when we walked in. We loved the room. We were very impressed with the number of activities provided daily for the residents, which was very important for us to have her engaged. It was beautiful the way their dining hall was set up. It makes it more like a restaurant. It was just pleasant. The whole atmosphere is pleasant. Everyone we have worked with is pleasant. My mother-in-law's Medtech is Leigh and I can't say enough nice things about her. It's overall, very pleasant, calming, beautiful, and clean. Those are all very important to us. I had not had a meal there yet, but they put their menu for the day on a nice big chalkboard just like you would go into a restaurant. I read it and it just looks lovely. The other day, they had a celebration of Madonna's birthday or something all day. They had it decorated, and it had different things. They have bingo a couple of times a week. I know they took a group that wanted to go see Elvis at the movie, so they've done that. They have ice cream socials. They have little different parties and little ways to get people involved. My mother-in-law did an art activity and made some placemats, and I love that she was doing that kind of thing. From their sales manager to their administrator and I worked with Leigh, the Medtech, they've all been very helpful and kind, and they've helped with the adjustment of my mother-in-law getting in. I've been very impressed with that. I think they offer a wide variety of activities. That doesn't mean that she has taken advantage of a lot of those, but as far as what they offer, I think it's wonderful.

I went to LaurelHurst & LaurelWoods. She showed us all around, but we mostly talked about assisted living and the palliative care. The staff member is very courteous. She explained everything. She offered me something to drink. It was excellent, very, very well done. The outdoors are a very nice area. The room is freshly painted and very clean, a nice room.

My father is at LaurelHurst & Laurelwoods. It looks fine and seems to be a clean place. The grounds are nice, as well as the dining room. Their carpets are just a little bit old. I guess it's hard to keep replacing the carpet in a place like that. Also, they're not quite as organized as I'd like to see them. I hope they could publish the hierarchy of management, so you would know who to go to when you've got an issue with certain things. It would be nice to have an easier way to contact people. The food's alright. There's a variety and they have a menu that you can order directly off of, instead of having what they're feeding that day. I've seen them play bingo, watch movies, and have parties. There's several things going on during the week. My father has his own bathroom and they've got a couple of rooms that have little kitchenettes, while some of the rooms have two people in them. When it comes to the staff, there's a couple of ladies that are doing real good, but then there's a couple that really need to have a different job.

We toured LaurelHurst & LaurelWoods. When the time comes, that's the one we probably will go with. They had the memory care, which was good. They had suites for the couples, which would be what we would need. It's very clean. They had a lot of activities. It was close by for our family. It seemed like everyone was real friendly, nice, and helpful. The girl who gave us the tour was very knowledgeable. She said just give them a call if we ever need that kind of thing. I think they sent me another email asking how things were going in our search and how it was going with my parents. We saw the assisted living. That's where they had the suites set up for a husband and wife. They were really nice, big space, nice bathrooms, and you could put a little kitchen area in the bathroom with a small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee pot. They had their memory care section, but she did not show us that part because she said they kept those doors locked to keep the patients walking off. I didn't meet anyone but the lady that was taking us on the tour.

I was not impressed with LaurelHurst & LaurelWoods Assisted Living. They weren't very thorough in showing us anything, but one room. They had a full house, but they could not show us a variety during the tour. The carpets had a lot of big stains on them. I wasn't impressed with cleanliness or upkeep. The lady who was our tour guide didn't know this and didn't know that. The atmosphere just wasn't very inviting and very upbeat. It wasn't very positive. It was just existing. We did not see any activity going on, but we saw some of the pictures that the residents had made through their arts and crafts class. The tour guide was nice, polite, and honest, but she just didn't have her act together to make our visit complete. They need to get rid of those ugly stains from the carpet. Somebody needs to teach these people and get them prepared for when they give us an appointment for a tour. Also, they need those rooms available to show us what they got.

My Mother was at the Assisted Living for approximately 2 months. The cell phone reception was very very poor. I would call to check on her and they said they would but never received a call back after they checked on her. They did not return calls left on the voice mail either. My mother didn’t like the food. Finally the straw that broke the camels back was when her wedding ring and another ring were taken by someone there. So try to insist on your live one not to keep their sentimental or expensive jewelry with them. Let the family take it home with them if you want them safe and want to keep them. They did do a great job administering her medications.

The person who worked at LaurelHurst & LaurelWoods that I talked to was very nice, but I wouldn't put my dad there. They need to change some things there. Someone was getting their hair permed, and that's fine, but you could smell the perm solution in the air. You shouldn't smell mildew in the air. The staff member showed me one room that had black mold in it, and they said they would have it painted and put a new carpet in before my dad moves in. So they won't fix the black mold, they just mask it. The staff member who accommodated me was really nice, but could have been a little more informative.

LaurelHurst & LaurelWoods was really nice. I would've moved Mom there, but they could not accept her. They had a great atmosphere. It was very neat with nice rooms, facilities, a dining and kitchen area, and a TV area. It had a good feel overall. The staff was great. The food is prepared on-site. They have activities posted like art therapy and music therapy. They have semi-private rooms, which were large, nicely furnished, and there's TV available.

We visited LaurelHurst & LaurelWoods. The place seems to be clean, spacious and it was priced right. I met the sales manager and she was very helpful. They have a physical therapy room, there was a theater, a game room, and meeting areas. It's located close to doctors and hospitals.

LaurelHurst & LaurelWoods' cleanliness was wonderful. It was very well-kept and maintained. The rooms were smaller but very well-maintained. It was beautiful, right at the edge of the mountains. The chef was making cheesecakes for the next day and it smelled so good in there. The lady who helped us was very helpful and understanding.

I visited LaurelHurst and LaurelWoods. They did a good job showing me around. I was impressed with the units that they showed me. It was a model unit that had furniture in it, but you bring your own furniture. We went to the dining room and they were having some social thing going on separate from the assisted living. You can go down for your meals in that dining room twice a day. The room was a little bigger than I anticipated and a little bit nicer. It was a two-bedroom unit and the kitchen was nicely equipped and had a lot of good natural light. It was very pleasant.

LaurelHurst was immaculate, very open, and airy. The rooms were very comfortable. The dining area was spacious with lots of tables. The person who showed us around was excellent. Everyone seemed to be very happy. They had a lot of activities for the elderly people. The only objection there is the fact that it is in the mountains per se like the others that are near us. Also they only have one bathroom. Those are the only drawbacks, but everything else is perfect.

My friend has settled into LaurelHurst. He likes it very much. The staff is very caring, approachable, and concerned. They're good people. My friend's room is excellent. It is an apartment with a very beautiful view. There's plenty of space. It has a laundry area, a full kitchen, a walk-in bath, a living area, and a bedroom. He is very pleased with the activities, too. They have a great variety of them. They have a bus that takes them out for outings to different places. They have a movie theater, a library, a game area, and an exercise room. They have lots of amenities. It's just wonderful. The menu is excellent because gives them choices. My friend is very pleased with the food.

Laurelhurst was fine, but it was just a little too far away. The place looked fine, and there was nothing that stood out that was negative. They do three meals, and the staff was fine and pleasant. They answered all my questions. They have an exercise area, and it looked pretty comfortable. The rooms looked plenty spacious for one person.

Mom is doing well at Laurelhurt. The facility is very nice. We chose it because of the price, proximity to where she lives, and its beauty. She has a very nice two-bedroom apartment. She fell in love with it. They have exercises, games, luncheons, and go shopping.

We visited Laurelwoods. The place was very clean. The agent that took as through was very professional, and very caring. Everything looked excellent. I was in a rural area, but it was very safe; very secure. I would feel very comfortable if my dad would be there. I thought it was very bright, and cheerful. Some of the residents that I spoke to all seemed to be very happy.

They had a bed coming up in about three weeks, so I did a tour of Laurelhurst & Laurelwods at that time, and I was seriously considering that one. Geographically, it was another 10 miles farther out and that’s beside they didn’t have another bed for three weeks. It was very clean. As a matter of fact, they have had chimneys that have started to leak and they were on it. They closed it off to the residents to keep it safe and it was very clean, very friendly staff. They showed me through the dining area and stuff, and I would rate that five. It was very nice. If they did have a bed that day, I was ready to move my dad. Beautiful scenery, beautiful courtyard area for the residents, and good activities. They had activities going on that day. The ladies were getting a manicure and the gentlemen were out in the courtyard doing some exercises.
