"We moved mom at Wilkinson Center, and it was her choice. She had several friends already in the facility. They have different activities every day. The place is very clean, and they even go and clean their rooms once a week. The staff all seemed great. Overall, the facility is very nice. "

"I'm currently at Wilkinson Care Center. This is a very nice facility. If you want to eat in your room, they'll bring your meals to you. If not, you can go to the dining room. This is a very nice facility because of the people that work here, they're so concerned with everything about you. They check on you and they make sure if you need assistance that you get assistance. It is just a nice facility. My room is like an efficiency apartment. I have a small kitchen. I have a microwave and a sink in it, and I have a small refrigerator. In the bigger room is my furniture that I brought with me. I have a little dining room table and two chairs. I have two chest drawers. When my husband was in this room with me, we had a queen-sized bed, but since he's not here, I've gone to a twin bed. I make quilts and I have a little place where I can sew now so that I could bring my hobby with me. They have some rooms where you can have an extra bedroom. So if your grandchildren would come, they could spend the night with you. They have two-bedroom apartments. We had Silver Sneakers. We had one day where we did exercise, and even people in wheelchairs would come and exercise their arms and everything. We always have puzzles in a little room down there. It's kind of like a little sitting room, but it's got plenty of tables. We always have puzzles where anybody who likes to do puzzles can come and work on them. We have a little gym with some exercise equipment, and then we have the larger dining hall. Breakfast is at 7:00, lunch is at 11:00 and dinner is at 4:00. That's a little early for me for every one of those. Their workers worked from 7:00 to 7:00, so I know that's why they put that on there so they could get through with the dinner things before it was time for them to go home. But I'm very happy here. The staff are very good. They have an activity director. They raised the price about three months ago for the first time in four years, so that sounds very good to me. According to other places I checked, this is about the cheapest price you can get for what you get out of it."

"My mother is in Magnolia Hills. The staff has been great since she's been there. We would highly recommend it. She really enjoys the food; it's good. It's very clean and very organized. They have church service and activities during the week that people can participate in."

"We went to look at Grandview Manor Care Center. The staff was very helpful, kind, and answered our questions. I enjoyed talking with her and being there. The rooms were kind of small but seemed OK. The staff showed us the library. They have games and different activities for the clients that are there."

"Approximately four weeks ago, we moved my mother-in-law in a secured section of Foothills Manor. This section is for their Alzheimer's patients. We got her in a private room, which is very spacious. It has a nice bath. Everything is very lively and open. I have not actually eaten any of the food, but when we visited her, she says it is pretty good. She is happy being in that facility. "

"We had dad admitted to the oaks, he was always clean and dry..the staff kept me updated on his care..meds..he was happy always there. I know many ask about the patients in hallways, until you get them all up dressed cleaned and fed..you haven't really understood the care level given here..I rather see pop scooted down the hall,than left in bed all day..I rate it 5 stars..great home to live in.. "My husband was in the memory care unit of Hayesville House, the last three months of his life, and I put in the paper how wonderful they were to him. That is a wonderful facility for people with memory problems. It's excellent in every way. Some people had been there for a long time. It's for memory care, but once you get to where you are bedridden, they keep you all through the last stages of your life. They keep you even when you get to a point of being in a nursing home. Once you're in there, they don't send you out to go to a nursing home when you get to that point. Even hospice can come in the last stages of one's life. What I liked best about them is their care for the patients. Not only for my husband, but I would also see the way they treated other people. When my husband passed in January, I didn't have his memorial until April, but the manager of the facility and her assistant all came to my house for the memorial. The food was good, the care was good, and there was never a smell in there. My husband's room was kept clean all the time, and they kept him clean, too. They have a beauty and barber shop. During Halloween, they let people dress up. I also went down and had Thanksgiving dinner with them, and it was really good. They take care of the people. It was not just my husband, but everyone in there got that kind of care. We were private-pay, but a lot of people were on Medicaid, and they accepted them, too."

"My experience with Habersham Retreat has always been a good one. I have visited some friends and family members there over the years and they have always been happy with the facility. The nurses are always nice and attentive, the doctors are very knowledgeable and make sure that they do their very best to keep the residence in the up most health possible. They have very good meals that are tailored to the residence individual needs and the facility is also very clean and well maintained. The staff is always helpful and never made me feel out of place or that I was a bother for asking questions pertaining to my loved ones. I would recommend Habersham Retreat to anyone that would ask because they have always taken good care of my family. "

"My mother has moved into Laurel Lodge Assisted Living & Memory Care. I like all of it. That's why she's there. She loves the food, she loves the people, and she loves the staff. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's got huge living rooms, two of them so that she can socialize if she wants. The dining room is real big. The food is excellent. Their bathrooms are exceptional. They have bingo, a movie theater, and they show movies every other day and they have exercise classes. She does not participate in a whole lot, but she still gets around and she is independent."
