"We really liked Lanier Place. It's close to me. It was very, very charming. We liked the smaller concept where the residents don't get lost. They sounded very involved with their residents, and that's what we really liked. I thought they were very helpful. They gave us a plethora of information and numbers that we could call. They offered quite a few activities as well."

"I moved into the Villas at Canterfield. I looked at probably twenty-to-twenty-five different facilities, and overall, it was absolutely the best available -- plus it was only three miles from my grandchildren. Being close to grandchildren was the primary decider, but it is also a first-class facility in every way. I am in an independent home villa. The facilities are magnificent, and the staff is magnificent. The home that I am in is virtually brand new, I do not have to do any yard work at the house, I do not have to do any housekeeping, and if I don't want to, I don't have to do any cooking. I have full cable-TV access, and I have high-speed Wi-Fi. I cannot think of anything bad to say about them."

"My mother is currently a resident and she is very happy. She has formed a number of friendships in the year that she has been there. They have some newer staff that are fantastic and communication when mom needs something has been very easy. The facility is clean, and well kept and the food is very good. I highly recommend this community. No place is perfect, but they definitely care!!!"

"The Oaks at Braselton was very nice. The tour was well done. The person who gave us the tour was very helpful. She gave me a lot of tips about what to look for and what kinds of things we would need to do. She was exceptionally good. It was well-maintained, and it was appropriate for what we were looking for. The accommodation was very nice. They have studio and one-bedroom apartments. They were having a special dessert, and the person was playing live music in the common area, so that activity was very nice."

"I toured the Regency House of Buford. Everyone we met was very accommodating and very personable. The person we talked to was very good. They showed us the whole thing. They showed us where they eat and where they have activities. They showed us their apartments. It was a very positive one. We saw the studio and one-bedroom apartments. They have a calendar full of activities. All of them were the same. They all have morning devotions and exercises at 10:00 a.m.. They go out for lunch once a month or once a week, something like that. It was well-maintained, and the staff was very helpful."

"Brookdale South Lee Buford was very clean, and the people were friendly, so I had no complaints. They had a game room and places for them to sit in the community. There was plenty to do. I just learned from experience that my mother won’t participate, so that was one of the things that I was looking for. The staff was fine, and they were friendly. They have a choice, so they could either take her to her regular doctors, or she could use their doctors that come to the place. They actually have a van that would take them to their appointments. "

"My dad has been at The Pines for about a month now. The decision to place him somewhere was gut wrenching for our family but the staff here have gone above and beyond to help us make this transition as painlessly as possible. Julie was in constant contact with pictures, video chats and phone calls to let us know how dad was doing as well as making sure me and my mom were ok. I am so grateful that we found this place and would recommend it to anyone."

"I would give Towne Club Windermere a five all the way around. That was my favorite place, but it is set up more like an apartment building. It's a tower and you had to get on an elevator, and Mom wasn't comfortable with that, but the rooms were fantastic. They were like regular-size apartments. They have a beautiful pool, a garden area, a movie room, a hair salon, and tour buses that would take you to the grocery stores and stuff. Any amenity that you could think of they had there. They did social hour; you come down in the main room and have appetizers and things like that. They go from independent living all the way to memory care. The staff during the tour was very, very attentive. She showed us several different sized rooms and she gave us the pricing. She made sure that we had all the meals. She let us taste the meals, which were very, very good. She took us around. She was very patient with Mom and Dad. We actually sat down around the pool with some of the people there, and we were able to talk to the residents there, ones that were in wheelchair and ones that were a little bit more independent. My concern then at that point in time was finding a place for both my Mom and Pop and Pop to be more active. The staff introduced Pop to some of the guys there that still play golf and things like that, so he really felt comfortable there. It was Mom that was not at the time, that's why we didn't do so. We actually were there three times and we signed a contract with them twice. Mom just didn't think she could do that elevator. She didn't feel comfortable with it."

"My mother lives at Wisdom Well Living. Finally I have peace of mind knowing that she is taken care of. They spend quality time with each resident and since it is a small facility that makes it possible. It is kept neat and clean and all of the meals are delicious. It is obvious with the care they give that Beatrice and David are passionate about their care giving. I would highly recommend Wisdom Well Living if you are looking for care for your loved one. "

"I went to the Oaks at Shiloh Point. I liked just about everything. The grounds were all great. The rooms were wonderful. The people that ran it were extremely helpful, very caring. The residents that I spoke to were all very happy there and seemed very well cared for. They considered it their home. If I can get my mom out of the hospital, then I would consider putting her there. It was a really very nice place to be. The staff was very thorough, very caring, and she listened very well. She explained everything very well. I couldn't have asked for anybody better."

"Celebration Village Forsyth was a beautiful environment. It was a great-looking campus and the people all seemed happy. The staff were very kind and caring. Everything was just beautiful. From the common rooms to the apartments, everything was very nice. It made us feel like it was a good place to live and everyone was very nice and helpful. All the common rooms were very clean and kept nicely. They have schedules posted all around for what's going to be happening there. They have a movie theater that is very clean and beautiful. It was empty at the time, but it looked like it was just kept very well. There's nothing that we saw there that was not taken care of. Overall, everything was great."

"I very much liked Belmont Village Johns Creek. I like their open venue. It's like a restaurant style with a three hour period that you could go dine in. The problem there is that they didn’t have an opening other than a two bedroom at the time of our visit. Overall, the visit was very nice. The staff did a great job in giving me a tour and showing me some different rooms. "

"We toured Highlands Senior Living Jefferson. It's close by wherever we live. It's a homey atmosphere. The residents seemed happy there. They were serving dinner when we were there, and everything was very organized and clean. The rooms were also very clean. The staff was very attentive. I was listening to the ladies serving the meals, and they were very polite and very nice. They had a large dining area. They have lots of activities planned. We looked at the calendar and the activities room. They have a bus that goes out on Tuesdays and Thursdays and they always have a planned place to go."
