"I love Celebration Village Forsyth. We have eaten there twice and the food is stunning. Their service and employees are stunning. It is mostly young people. Our visit was good. We like the size of their apartment. The amenities and the meals are the biggest things to us. Right now, we couldn't afford to move into the independent, but I loved them when we walked in the door. We just felt at home. They have the chef cook our meals."

"Belmont Village Johns Creek was a nice place and the room I saw was a pretty nice size. The road is out of the way and the area is very quiet. The staff was very friendly and very nice to work with."

"I enjoy Ashwood Meadows Gracious Retirement Living very much. The staff is beautiful, they're kind and caring. They take care of you and make sure that you have what you need. The food is excellent. They have activities almost every hour. They have everything here."

"My second choice would be Lanier Village. It’s gorgeous over there, and the facility is wonderful. The people were warm and welcoming, too. I know that they have a lot of resources right there, but the price is what put it out of the running for first. It is definitely my second choice if the other place doesn't work out because they have everything. They go from independent living to total care and everything in between. They have a lot of outdoor and indoor activities all of the time, and they’ll take buses for special trips. "

"The layout of Manor Lake Dawsonville was very good, up-to-date, and roomy. It was just very good. The staff was very pleasant and very informative. It was very clean and brand new. Everything was easily accessible. They had different rooms; some of them had two separate bedrooms, one bedroom, and some were just studios. It depends on what you wanted. There was no single room situation, but each of them seemed like a good layout and easily accessible."

"I went to Ashton Senior Living early on in my search and briefly. I just saw some rooms that were really good too. I think that was a year a half ago. They seemed very pleasant and caring. I saw one room and it was neat and tidy. It looked like they have a pretty good amount of activities. The menu looked good. The facility looked nice for me to consider so I told my dad about it. It appeared to be really clean. Sometimes these facilities sort of like have a smell to them, this one didn't."

"We have chosen Legacy at Walton Summit for my mother-in-law because they were very friendly. The place was very clean, and the most important thing is that it's senior living (not really assisted living). To me, it was different than a lot of the senior living places that I have gone to because they had such a closeness between the residents. The amount of activities that they do with each other would have made it perfect for my mother-in-law; she may be 80 years old, but she really is still very sharp. They even had a quilting group, and she does quilt. They have everything that she would need in a place; it does not feel like she had just been stuck somewhere alone in an apartment. They were very clean, very friendly, and attentive. It was a very good experience. There was a guy at the front desk that welcomes you as you come in, and he was wonderful. He and the actual director of the place gave us the tour. The director knew everybody by name. She knew everybody's stories, and they knew who she was. She called people by name, and she was called by name (and she's the director of the place). It was very personable. She truly cares about them. They do not have meals. All the units have a full kitchen, so they do not offer any food. They do not have a cafeteria, which was OK because my mother-in-law cooks herself. As far as the food, that was not an issue and that didn't make or break the deal for me at all. The facility was so clean and so nice. It's very light and airy. They got different rooms set up. There's a place where they can play cards; a place where they can eat ice cream, and a place with table and chairs. The staff said a lot of people that live there still drive. They can go get food or call food in and bring it; they eat together. Otherise, they all prepare their meals and eat together in one room. It's very clean and very well decorated."

"This retirement home was located in my home town so it was an obvious choice to send my grandmother to after she developed demetia. It is a beautiful part of town set aside to be fairly private. The accomadations are beacutiful. The front desk staff were very friendly when ever I visited and were always extremely helpful whenever needed. The staff of nurses were also always courteous and helpful as stated by my grandmother and also noted while we were visiting. The decorations of the facility and also in the individual rooms were very exquisite and looked wonderful. The dining area was very neat and orderly and looked to be very clean and sanitary. I did not personally taste the food but also never heard any complaints about it either, which in my opinion would be considered good. Overall I was very satisfied with this area and was happy, for the price, that we put my grandmother their. "

"The Villas at Canterfield is a new facility, about two years old. They are building an independent living facility, which would be available probably the latter part of this year, so I am targeting that, but for the moment what they have is assisted living, and I am very impressed with the layout of this facility. The rooms were very nice from the standpoint that they have balconies. I like the barbecue outdoors. The one that they showed me, which was already occupied, had a nice outdoor covered porch where they could have a barbecue grill. "

"Anita and Edna were such a blessing to my Dad and to my family! They showed such love and compassion as my Dad neared his last days on earth. I am so grateful for this beautiful facility but especially for my Dad’s nurses that cared for him as if they were his family! I cannot thank them enough. "I'm very happy with The Orchards of Stoney Point. I got a very large 3-bedroom, 2.5 bath, with a kitchen, a loft area, and a sun porch. The activities are excellent. I just picked up September's list and there are two or three things to do every day. The staff I've met has been delightful. You buy into it and it's no different than a house."

"The Park had a lot of activities, like classes for chair yoga, Zumba, and balance. They were friendly. The price was very good compared to a lot of other places. They're very well laid out and had steel appliances and granite counters. "

"My mother is currently at Brookside Commerce. They are very attentive to her, very patient, and understanding. They communicate well. They provide a lot to keep them occupied. They are inviting and clean, which is very important. They do a good job of doing the laundry, which I appreciate very much. They make her bed every day for her. When she needs assistance, they assist her. They are very quick to respond if she has to push her button. They communicate well with me. They keep me posted on everything that transpires with her. She gets her medication like she's supposed to get. They keep good records. If she gets in one of her moods and decides not to take her medication, they communicate that to me as well. They are very kind. They do a good job with their menu. It has variety. They offer some options if you don't like what's available. You can get a salad. They post it for the week, and they post it for the day on the table. There is plenty of communication about what the meals are. Every time I saw the food and been there when she was eating, it looked appetizing. They did win Best Jackson Senior living for two years in a row from the Jackson Herald, so I think that's pretty good."
