I think the staff at Clemson Downs is very attentive. The facility is very clean and just very bright. The rooms are nice. They have a lovely porch that overlooks the woods from the back with flowers and bird feeders. The care that my family member is getting has been excellent. Even though it's memory care, they take the residents for activities in different locations within Clemson Downs. So, they're not stuck in their room. They also take them off the facility, like for ice cream or dinner or things like that. You don't get too much activity in other memory care facilities. My family member is high-functioning, so it's good for him. He gets three choices for each of his meals and he gets to choose fruits or juice. The facility looks pretty new. It's expensive, but if you can afford it, this is the place to go. It is the nicest of the memory care facilities by a long shot. It's well worth it. I have no hesitation when I walk away from there feeling that he is cared for, that things are clean, that he's being well-fed, and that the staff is very alert and considerate. They are very professional and it's a beautiful facility.

I have chosen Clemson Downs. I have not yet moved in, I've put down a deposit, that's all I've done. It's just a nice place. They have lots of activities. They serve a meal a day. I just really like it. I have friends who are there. They have cocktail parties, and they take the bus and go to concerts. There are lots of activities. I have tried the food; it's very good. The two bedrooms are a good size.

My mother is generally happy with the overall situation at Clemson Downs Assisted Living. The staff is wonderful and always there with a smile on their face to help her. But she is not happy with dinner meals.

I am a resident of Clemson Downs and my overall experience is positive. It was more of a community than an institution. The staff are outgoing and helpful. The food is plain but substantial. The facilities are comfortable. We are currently on lockdown and activities are suspended due to COVID.

Clemson Downs was not for us. It was too old and wasn't current. It doesn't have a swimming pool and had a lot of things that it doesn't have because it was old. The rooms were too small, and the ones that were wheelchair-accessible, they had to take part of the room away which made the room even smaller. The staff was good though and the dining area was fine. There was an activity area where people played cards.

Clemson Downs has a nice layout. They have independent living home duplexes and a community dining room in the administration building. My mom is in independent living. The staff is very nice and good. They have very good food and a lot of activities. The people are extremely friendly, which is a real plus.

The memory care at Clemson Downs has 2 floors, and everything is nice and clean. It has a cafeteria/meeting room with a television on both floors because the patients can only be on one floor. The rooms are nice, and you move in your own furniture. Everything is pretty good, and the staff is good. They have crafts, artwork, religious services, and movie nights.

We choose Clemson Downs for my mother. She is familiar with the area. She has a nice, small apartment. My mother picked it, and I find it suitable and appropriate. They have meals. I walk in the cafeteria and see the food, but I have not eaten there. She is not in yet, but she will be. They are revamping the apartment before she moves in. It is their standard procedure to put in new flooring, new paint and make a specific adjustment for her to fit her needs. The personnel stand out to me. They are very accommodating and very personable, and they go above and beyond. I think I will recommend them, but I like to wait until my mom moves in to see how everything works out.
