"My parents have moved in, and it's good so far. They're in the same unit, and my mother is getting her higher level of care. They're more cheerful than what they had before. Their apartment is nice, and we got everything set up. It's good sized and more than adequate for them. It's a 2-room unit with a living room, a bedroom, a bathroom, and a kitchenette area. Everyone was very nice. Nursing care is very timely in bringing their medications. They said the food is good. They are planning to do some updates, new carpet and things like that."

"I visited. The facilities and the memory care units seemed nice. It was very clean and didn't have an odor. The dining area looked fine and nice. It was close to a hospital and mall. "

"My mom moved into Trinity Hills of Knoxville. It's more like a family. Everybody kind of helps everybody else, not just the staff, but also the people that are in it. It's excellent. Her room feels more like an apartment, because it has a kitchenette, kitchen cabinets on top and bottom, even though it only has a microwave, and a small fridge. It has a sink, which is nice. The activities are awesome. They do breakfast, two activities, lunch, and then two more activities, and then dinner. Sometimes they have church, once during the week, and on the weekends, but they also have the gospels in the morning, which is very important to us with Mom's faith. The weekends are a little bit more like that. They do breakfast, lunch, dinner, but they have bingo on Saturday and then they have Sunday school Bible study and worship on Sunday. She gets dessert for lunch and dinner. They offer sugar free. She's diabetic, so that's important and she loves it. We had a meal there and it was really good."

"Meadow View Senior Living is a beautiful facility. My mother loves it there, and I highly recommend it. The staff is wonderful. They're very good to her, and she loves all of them. She has a studio, but they also have deluxe studios and one-bedrooms. She goes to bingo, they have crafts, she had her hair done yesterday, they have a beauty shop, and they have a Christmas party. She's very happy there. They exercise in the activity area and they have a library. She likes the food pretty well."

"My father is in the memory care unit. They take good care of their residents. For me, the facility location is really convenient, and the grounds are very nicely kept up. They also have a bus that takes the residents to doctors' appointments and things like that. There's a full schedule of activities that they post for the month and for the day. There is a lot of variety there. They have different sized rooms. He's in a studio apartment and it has a large window and its own bathroom."

"Northshore Heights Located in Knoxville was my second choice for my dad. It was very nice and has a very open area, a big open meal room, which is where you first walk into. It's very clean and updated, and the staff were very nice. I only met one or two of them, and they were nice. They actually came and assessed my dad when he was in rehab, but I wasn't very impressed with them when they pretty much told me very bluntly that my dad didn't qualify for assisted living at that time, and they just didn't say anything else. I didn't appreciate that. I think the majority of their rooms were private. The one I looked at was private, but they did show one that was the most expensive room they had. It was kind of a combined room where a couple could live in, it was one room that was combined with another. They had a living area. Their room options were nice, but they didn't have any built-in shelves or anything fancy like that. They had a nice building and had nice amenities as well. Their whole building, facilities, and everything were updated."

"My dad has moved into South Knoxville Senior Living. It is assisted living, but they're not as assisted as I would have liked. It's a new place. It's small, but it's nice. Instead of being stacked on top of each other, it's 6 independent units with 13 residents in each unit. They're renovating several of them. There are six altogether, and I think they have four going on right now. Two of the buildings are empty, and they're working on them. The staff members are very nice. They're fine. We're having a little problem with the activities. They need more activities, but the Senior Center for Knoxville is right around the corner, and that has things all day, every day. Each unit has a library and a place to sit and read, and each building has its own kitchen facility. The 13 residents that are in the building can have their meals right there, but they're not all operating yet. Right now, they only have two of the kitchens going. My dad says the food is good, but I don't know personally. It looks fine, though. I walked in for dinner one night, and everybody was happy."

"My mom has been at Autumn Care since before COVID. They are family owned, which is great, but there were some struggles during the pandemic with staffing. The owners seem like lovely people and in the past year they have really turned it around with more reliable and compassionate caregivers, nurses, and management. The building is beautiful, the food is better than most places, and it doesn't have that corporate feel like a lot of the bigger places do. Overall we are really happy and feel that mom is in good hands. "

"I moved into The Groves at Oak Ridge. There's a lot of people around my age, and there's some activities. They have a small bus equipped with the handicapped lift, and we go to a museum close by, and then stores like Walmart. The apartments are big enough. They have everything you need. The food is excellent. Breakfast is pretty much the same, but the other meals are very diverse. They're all very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. No problems."

"It was very nice. They decorated it for Christmas at the time. We saw the ground floor where the meals were served. There's an elevator and we went up to the second floor to see one of the rooms and they were very nice. They have a really neat movie room where people can have movie nights on a big screen (that was cool!) They also exercise and have pedicures and manicures. All the rooms had microwaves, but three meals a day were served."

"Although The Guest House at Alexander Inn was an older building, it has been renovated. It was an old hotel, but they redid all the rooms and they did a beautiful job. The place was welcoming and very friendly. I also felt that the residents were happy there. The staff was very friendly, very cooperative, answered all my questions, and I was very pleased with the person that assisted me."

"My mother is a resident at Brookdale Browns Creek, an assisted living facility. It's so nice, and a lot better than where she used to be. She never left her room there, but this place can't keep her in her room because she's out socializing and doing all kinds of stuff. She's happy, and she enjoys it there. The food is good, and people are really nice to her, so she's got a lot of friends. Her room is a studio-type, and it's what she wanted. They have bingo that she goes to twice a week. They also have all kinds of activities going on. They even go on outings where they take a couple of groups out someplace every week. They stay pretty busy there."

"I stayed at the Beehive Homes Of Knoxville. There are no activities outside the building, the only thing going is bingo, that's about it. It's very nice. Their staff are excellent. The room is bigger. It's on a busy street, so you really can't leave the property on your own. There just really isn't anything to do there other than bingo. They will do medication if you want them to for a fee. They are very good at cleaning the rooms, and making beds, and doing laundry. They're very good at that. So the individual is well taken care of. The food was excellent."
