"Our experience here was very good. The staff was great and provdie a lot of activities. They have a swimming pool and patios around the facility. "

"My husband is a resident of StoryPoint Knoxville West. Two things especially stand out. Their staff, particularly the lady that is the activities director, Marita, is outstanding. She's been there over 20 years, plans interesting and different types of activities that appeal to people who are having memory issues. The activities that they provide are just first-rate. I wanted to compliment their food. It not only smells good, but tastes good. There are lots of variety of vegetables and healthy meats prepared with great sauces and seasonings, and just really good food and a good variety. They have some really good caregivers that have been there. Fred has been there over 20 years. They have some really caring people. A nurse named Jasmine is also extremely competent and works very, very hard. His apartment has large, bright, and good-sized windows. We have fresh paint right now and it's very attractive. It is a bathroom, bedroom-living combination, but the residents furnish their own furniture there and pictures and all of those things. People come in and play the piano and guitar and sing, they do bingo, they do field trips to places like Oak Ridge, they do crafts, they do trivia questions, and they do exercise type activities, tennis, and bowling. They do artwork and crafts. Every day, they have four to six activities planned. In the memory care unit, Marita and her part-time helper, Megan, go around, encourage and kind of make sure people that are willing, get out and come. She just doesn't let people sit in a room by themselves. Their administrator, Linda, their receptionist, Tracy, and one of the marketing persons, Noah, are all extremely helpful. I'm very pleased. We have not been there very long. Hopefully that will not change, but right now, they're doing a good job."

"I am now living here, and I found them over the Internet. I chose this facility because they had the room I wanted and they allowed my pet. The facility is good. Their food is mediocre. None of them are really great, but it's all right. The people who work here are very excellent, and they give me good service. "

"We went to tour The Groves at Oak Ridge. Of all the ones that I've been to, this is the one I'm really leaning towards. The tour was excellent. It was all on one level, which I like. It was laid out nicely, kind of in a circle. You can go out one way, go around, come in a shorter way, and it's just nice. It was very clean. The staff was very knowledgeable. She had everything laid out and all the information that we needed. She took us to visit the room, and she was very helpful. Their staff had been there for years, so that's a plus right there. I liked the studio room. I know it was small, but it was nice. It had a refrigerator and a microwave, plus it had windows. They had 3 courtyards. We didn't go out because it was too cold. We did go to the dining room, and it was nice. It had round tables. We also looked at the activities that they had set out. She explained that they were color-coded for the environmental stuff and social stuff."

"I toured here. It was very nice. The people were very nice. I thought it was a good place. My tour was not during one of their activities or anything, so several of the residents were just sitting around eating breakfast. However, they have some gardening areas where people can go out and do some gardening. I saw the living spaces in the memory care. They're a little bit different because there are no doors in the closet and things like that, but they were a good size, and the bathrooms were nice. They had nice walk-in showers with seats. It was a nice area. Everything was good and clean when I was there. Everything was nice and smelled nice."

"I visited The Alexander Inn a couple months ago, and it was great. The staff was very nice, very helpul, and answered all of our questions. The place had an excellent location. The rooms were perfect, just the right size, really clean, and new. It seemed like they had everything we needed in the room. I just wish they had a pool for water activities. "

"My mother-in-law resides in Sycamore Trace. Her husband is there, too, but he doesn't need much help. It's very good and very well run. It's a nice place, it's very clean, it smells okay, and it's kept up nicely. The workers are constantly interacting with the residents. If there's a problem, they want to fix it. They're very responsive. I would recommend anyone to go there if they need a place like that. With regard to food, I ate some of their vegetable soup that my mother-in-law didn't want to eat, and it was decent. It's good enough to eat. My father-in-law seems to like it fine, too. The facility is all on one level. It's not huge, and there's a dining room where people can gather together and chat and stuff. They have a couple of other rooms on the side if people want to play cards or something. They play bingo sometimes. There's a lobby in the front where people can watch TV if they prefer. They got pictures of some of the veterans. They have other activities. I think sometimes they'll serve ice cream or stuff for the people. They treat everybody well there."

"I went to Deane Hill Place. It's a very desirable living area for assisted living and probably memory care. I was shown every aspect of the units, and they're clean and comfortable, or at least sufficient for a patient. They're light and bright, they have good access to views of the outdoors, and for some they even provide little patios. All that is wonderful; the activities are just a bonus. The calendar of activities provides the seniors there with many things to do, lots of people to connect with, and a caring staff, some of whom have been on board for a long time. I thank Talbot and the tour in general for a good experience."

"I am in here. Everything is very nice and very good. I think it is homey. The staff is very good, and they are accommodating. They do anything I ask. I have a very nice room, and it has everything I need. It has a bedroom, a bathroom, a microwave, and a refrigerator. They have very nice activities."

"Brookdale Sandy Springs was the place where I would want to put my mother. It was very clean. It looked like they had a caring staff. They set the bar pretty high, so that's what I'm comparing all the other assisted living to. Everybody was top-notch. I didn't sample the food, but there were several dining areas, and they all looked clean. Nothing special, they're cafeteria style, which is common in places like that. I got there during a change in activities. They were going to play bingo, so a staff person told people about that. I saw the schedule and it looked like a fairly active schedule. They would also take people outdoors on special trips to movies, museums, or whatnot so people could get out. It was impressive."

"We had visited Wellington Place. I thought their best feature was that they not only had assisted living, but had Alzheimer's or memory unit also. The lady who took us around was very knowledgeable. However, we were not able to interact with the staff other than to see them in the hallways and just say hi to them. They had their activities posted in the bulletin board and they offered bus services. "

"I toured South Knoxville Senior Living. They had different sizes, but the one I could afford was a small room. The facility was very clean. The other place I visited had a little kitchenette, but South Knoxville did not have anything except the bathroom. It's all flat, and that's good too, but I like the other facility's dimensions. It was too far away from my family for me personally, but it's up the main street, and it was very nice."

"The accommodations are lovely. Roomy... bright.. easily accessible . There are several seating areas and outdoor porches . My Dad loved it here. The staff are all kind and caring. Friendly.. always available and quick to respond. Highly recommend ."

"We have chosen Trinity Hills of Knoxville for my mother, and she's moving in on Tuesday. It's very clean, and it feels very homey. The room is very nice, it has laminate wood floors which kind of give us a homey feel. Very roomy, the bathroom very large, and has a nice walk-in shower with all the bars and everything for safety. It has a very large kitchen nook, with a microwave, small refrigerator, small size kitchen sink, and cabinets space, so lots of room and storage. The staff is so, so nice, everyone is very sweet, everyone always greets you, even if they don't know who we are, they're just all very inviting. We have not sampled the food, but I do know that they have a chef on-site and it's restaurant style. So they get to order off of the menu what they want to eat. There is some variety, then they have certain things that they always have, like soup and baked potatoes. They always have that. And then every day there are certain entrees they can choose from. It's a very nice dining area, even the lighting in there is pretty like they have chandeliers and things like that. So it makes it feel like home. They always have bingo. They have a grand piano in the great room and it's off of the dining room. And they have someone that comes and plays music while they eat. They have a fireplace that they can gather around. They have movie days, they have special speakers that come in, and they have a chapel there so they can have Sunday school and church. They can go on outings if they want, and they have a little shuttle that they can go on outings, and then just all kinds of activities constantly, whether it's crafts or things like that."
