I chose Jamestowne Assisted Living for my mom because of the cost and the care. They're rated pretty high, and when my wife and I talked to them, we liked the people and liked the way it was. The people there are nice. I like them a lot. My mom is happy there. She doesn't have to share a room, and it's cheaper than the one that she would have to share a room with at the other place. She has her own room, and it is a good size. She also has good people there. The price is the cheapest in the area, and I thought they're the best of all of them. I also have tried the food, and it is really good. Right now, my mom spent a couple of hours in physical therapy, and then they helped her walk down hallways. They have other activities, but she hasn't gotten involved with them yet because she can't get around as much as she wants to. We haven't paid attention to the activities, but I see an activity sheet on the wall, and they have something going on every day, so they're busy. I know they do quite a few field trips and stuff like that, and she wants to go on those. They're super clean. They're always cleaning, and they're always sanitizing. Their food is restaurant quality. My mom loves their food. She has a high standard for food, and she loves Jamestowne's food.
