"Wellington Manor of Knoxville was clean. The only thing that I noticed is that they might have been short of help, but I think many places run into that. The living spaces were great, and the rooms were set up good. They can bring their own furniture. The kitchen looked clean. The staff members were very helpful and very courteous, but it appeared that they were very busy, and sometimes, residents had to wait."

"My mom is in independent living at South Knoxville Senior Living. I'm very pleased with it. She is settling in well. The only improvement I could see would be in the dietary part because, with my mom's diabetes, they are kind of heavy on carbohydrates, but that's my only concern. The staff members are friendly, engaged, and responsive to my mom. It's newly remodeled and kept clean. Regarding activities, my mom has reported that she enjoyed them."

"My mother is at The Villages of Farragut. So far, it's been great. She had to isolate for a week, and she had three consecutive negative Covid tests. The place seems really nice, and everyone seems real friendly. She really seems to like it. The staff is great. They have studio, 1-bedroom, and 2-bedroom apartments, and she got the 1-bedroom apartment. They have a 5-hole putt course, they do karaoke, they have wine and beer and music every Friday night, they do bingo, puzzles, and a lot of other things. They have a walking trail and a huge patio on the first and second floors where they have tables and seating."

"I have no complaints with regards to the facilities and the services Parkview West has provided me. The personnel working there are very good. The food is fine and very well prepared. I may not participate in their activities, but they do have something going on just all the time. "

"Parkview West Knoxville were building a new subdivision right next to it. We looked at a one-bedroom where its patio would be facing the area where they were doing the construction, while the two-bedroom was facing the courtyard, and it was very nice. The only thing I didn't like was that they have very narrow long halls to get to the apartment and my husband uses the wheelchair, but the rest of it was beautiful and was really nice. The staff were very nice, too, and very accommodating. They had a large bingo game going on while we were there, and the room was full of residents. They also had walking trails. It was a really pretty area. They had a workout room and a movie theater as well."

"My mother-in-law is currently in the independent care section and is well pleased. As you enter the building you note how clean, attractive and fresh the hallways are. The apartments are quite nice and again are clean and would be classified as warm. The bathtub is a bit dated but overall the apartment is a great deal nicer than most apartments for the general public. The ladies were exceptionally warm and welcoming which greatly eased the transition. The staff seem to be caring and professional. Although my mother-in-law complains sometimes about the food, the presentation is clean and attractive. Apparently the cooking staff had a change in the primary cook and the quality declined a bit. Overall the facility greatly exceeded my expectations and I plan to use this healthcare unit if there is availability and the quality remains high. At the current time I would highly recommend Shannondale.of Knoxville. "

"I think the main reason that I chose The Lodge at Shannondale was that it has a swimming pool. I like to do water aerobics and stuff like that, and they do have that there. They also have a physical therapy department. They have a lady that comes in and gives you a massage. If you want this, you have to pay extra. They also have a podiatrist that comes in every three months. They have a coffee shop. The rooms are very nice. They have three different one-bedrooms, and they have two-bedrooms. You pay a membership fee first, but then your monthly payment is lower than the other places that I visited. The staff was so friendly. Everybody was just so friendly, had smiles on their faces, and just very nice. They introduced themselves to me, and that was very good. The rooms were fairly spacious. They either have a patio or balcony. I have a dog, and dogs are allowed. They have a dog park there, too. They have a nurse on staff 24 hours. If you need help with your medication, they will help you. There is a call button in the room that you press every morning to let them know that you're out of bed. There's a lot of security there. There's a chaplain on staff. I really like all that. The room was very nice. This is a positive thing to me, but you don't have a stove or a cooktop in the room. You have to go get your meals, and I think that makes you more social; you don't just sit in your room. They have a microwave and a convection oven."

"My husband is now with me at Trustwell Living of West Knoxville. We're settled down and he is having home health care physical therapy here. He is making progress and we're getting along pretty well. Our experience has been very good. The facilities are nice. We like our apartment. Of course, it is smaller than the house we moved out of, so that takes a little getting used to, but it's a nice place. And people who have come to visit us have commented on how nice it is. We're happy with it as things like this go. The staff members are very friendly and cooperative. Anything we've asked for help with, they've given us assistance. One thing that's going to be particularly helpful to us is that they have a gym. They have physical therapy here, but they don't take insurance. We're having home health care therapy, but my husband can use the equipment in the gym. They even have someone once a week who gives instructions on how to use the equipment down there if you're not a regular user, so that will be good. They have a theater, and we have movies 3 or 4 times a week. They have game nights, bingo, and birthdays monthly for everybody who has a birthday that month. We have a patio and sometimes they have outings out on the patio. They had an Easter egg hunt for your family's children. They have painting classes and jewelry-making classes. There's something almost every day. The dining area is nice and well-lit. It has lots of windows on both sides. The food is good. They have a special, for each meal, but they have a lot of alternatives. And we can also have breakfast at any meal if you want to have an omelet or French toast or something like that if you don't like what we're having. There's quite a choice on the menu. We're very happy. I wanted a stove, and the unit has a stove with an oven, a microwave, a refrigerator, a dishwasher, and a garbage disposal. I wanted a balcony, and it has that, too. It just has a lot of stuff that some of the others hadn't had, so that kind of helped make up our minds here."

"Apartment is spacious with really wonderful high ceilings. Sunlight is awesome with 4 huge windows in the apartment. The living area/kitchen/dining is more than adequate. I'm not sure why their is a full kitchen when meals are served 3 times a day, 7 days a week! Bedroom is also roomy. Holds a full size bed, chest, dresser, bench and a "wedding chest" with ample room to move around. Walk in closet is big. I had the closet updated to include good strong shelving and hanging racks for a 5' woman. It was an added cost to us to upgrade the closet, but it has been well worth it. Staff is good. As with any business of this sort, people come and go, but it seems that the new hires get acquainted easily with the folks living there. Activities have been spare. My mom has only been there since January 2019 - and of course the pandemic hit. The downside is that even though it's an independent living facilities the pandemic puts this establishment in the same area guidelines as assisted living when it comes to Covid 19 problems. So there have been some quarantines which I don't agree with since this is not a community looking for assisted living. Food has been good. When the residents can use the dining room - food is always served hot and to order. Food delivery, quality, and serving food at the right temperature during quarantines has not been so kind. When quarantine is lifted and dining room is open -- all is good. As I age I would gladly rent an apartment in this building. 5 Stars! "

"I moved to Broadway Towers. I like it because the people are friendly, and it's like a second home. The neighbors are friendly. It's just like a big family. It's all completely furnished with appliances and even a washer and dryer. They do occasionally have get-togethers down in a community room, where all of us make meals and gather. There are a lot of places around for shopping, and I like that, too. The staff is very friendly and nice. They do have activities, but I don't participate a lot in that, but you can go down to the game room and play cards."

"I like that the rooms here at Parkview Maryville are bigger. I got a living room, a bedroom, a closet, a bathroom with a shower, and all my furniture fits in here beautifully. The staff here are the same people back when I came in six years ago. Some of the other facilities I've looked at were more expensive, and you don't get your food, but when you pay your fee to stay here, they already include your food. They give you your menu and you pick out what you want for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We've got a chef here and they serve you meals that you would cook just at home. We have an activity lady that lets us do everything, like exercise, classes or tea parties. They actually took us last week to Townsend on the bus, and we rode around in the mountains and then they brought us back home. What's nice here is you can either do it or not do it. They don't make you go to all those things. The upkeep is tremendous. Every time somebody moves out of a room, they paint it again and put new carpet down. It's like a new room again. If you want another color to your room, you can buy your paint and they'll come and paint it for you. I have a little poodle and everybody loves my little poodle."

"My mother is presently suffering from dementia and severe degenerative disc disease and has been a resident at this facility for six months. The staff takes excellent care of her. The facility is very clean, professional, well lit, spacious and has a very good Director of Nursing, Nursing and CNA staff. My father was a resident at this facility for eight months and he was given very good care. He had suffered a stroke prior to residence at Shannondale and had been at a very poor condition nursing home. It was refreshing to know that there are places that provide all that a patient and family would be pleased with. I would highly recommend Shannondale of Maryville. "

"My mother-in-law is in the assisted living at Asbury Place. It seems to be a fit for her, and she feels comfortable there, as opposed to other places we looked at. The staff's work ethic is good. One good impression that we have is that the residents all seem happy to be there. They talk about how long they have been there and how much they like it. My mother-in-law is in a private room. It has two rooms: a living area, a bedroom, and the bath is on the right. The have several choices of food, but she's a picky eater and doesn't eat much. They have something going on all the time. They have trips if they desire to take them. They have bingo. They have a craft room. The have a chapel for church services. They have music groups come in. They keep them busy. "
