"My aunt is staying at Signal Mountain Senior Living. She's happy there. She's met people. It's clean. They have lots of activities for them. They go on an excursion a couple of times a month. They take them on field trips and have different activities, like bingo, cards, and movie nights. They have flower arranging and different games and puzzles. They have live entertainment come in for them once in a while. They celebrate all the holidays. They have special dinners for different holidays and food festivals. The staff was very patient, fun, and accommodating. The food is good. They do have a salon, but they have a hard time keeping somebody working in the salon so that could use a little work. They have a physical therapy room, a library, and a movie room. They have a dining room and a beautiful area in the lobby where you can sit and visit."

"I toured Thrive at Brow Wood. The staff was helpful. She took us on a tour and told us the different things that they do. They have a Wii and my brother used to bowl. They had a Wii with a bowling app so that he could sit in his wheelchair and act like he was bowling. The facilities were great. The layout was good. They had a lady there who helped them paint and showed them how to paint pictures. The activities director was nice. While we were there, we got to watch him. They were dancing. They were doing karaoke. That was delightful."

"When my relative first moved into Parkwood Retirement, the lady went on vacation and took the keys to her room, but other than that, it's good so far. We like that it's a small and quaint place, and that there's not a whole lot of people there. They keep the grounds and grass really nice. The residents are offered the opportunity to have a little area where they can plant flowers and stuff like that. They have activities like music, cards, Bingo, they take them shopping, or wherever they want to go, they also have a beauty shop, and they clean the rooms. If I eat there, I have to pay $3 or $4. The staff seems very nice and they hang up all her pictures, the cleaning lady really helps out, and the residents are also nice. They keep the inside and outside of the place nice and clean. It could use some upgrading, but for an old person, maybe it's just fine. There's also not a lot of parking spaces and it could get very crowded sometimes. The value for the money is good because I went to another place and it was was more expensive, but wasn't as nice as Parkwood."

"Hickory Valley was well built. They have an apartment that they're going to renovate for me to move into. They offer good meals. They have a lot of other attractions such as some exercise equipment and a game room. The rooms are a good size, and the room I'm going to get is convenient for me. It was not expensive. The staff members were great, informative, helpful, and courteous."

"I liked East Ridge Retirement Center because of their amenities. To me, the place is very nice. The people are nice and the lady who showed me around was very nice. "

"My parents moved in at Garden Plaza of Green Briar Cove in October of last year. They have been there for eight months now. I picked this place because it is absolutely gorgeous. It truly is like resort living. I knew my parents would be thrilled to live there. It is strikingly beautiful. It is a three-floor facility with beautiful outdoor gardens and a large lake out front with fountains. It is well appointed with a library. The staff is fabulous. They truly have been so lovely and gracious about anything we ask. They have all kinds of game rooms of different sizes on every floor for the convenience of the families and their guests. One of the things I really enjoyed is that they have soft piped-in music throughout the hallways that is music from the era of my parents. That is just delightful. The big thing was that my parents were able to get a two-bedroom, two-full-bath apartment. I attended town hall meetings in their dining room, where they also have entertainment for my parents. It is white tablecloth and linen napkin dining. It is absolutely lovely. However, the one area that my parents complained about continually was the food. They have gone through a couple of head chefs, and my parents were not happy with the food selections. There is a wide selection, but some of it is more Southern cooking. "

"Alexian Grove was very nice and the people were very pleasant. We saw a very nice two-bedroom, two-bath. The place was more of a community. It's a beautiful area and very scenic. It's also very clean."

"My mom is in Woodland Village. It is a hundred percent. They have one-bedroom and two bedroom apartments. She is in a one-bedroom, and it is very nice. She cooks her own food. They have two events a week, and they then they have dinners on holidays. They do bingo, they play penny auctions and they do other stuff like that. The staff is very helpful and attentive. She is very happy there. The way they keep the apartments up stands out to me. They are very clean, and the manager that runs it is really down to earth and is very helpful with my mom. I like it because I feel that she is safe there. "

"We toured the Garden Plaza in Cleveland. It had cottages, which we really liked. They were independent. They had apartments, and they also had assisted living. They had a lot of activities, and the buildings were nice. It was in a good location. The staff was excellent. The food was very good too. It was one of the best places, but a little expensive."
