"I visited The Village at Maplewood in Rome, and I was very impressed. I didn't really meet any of the staff aside from just greeting people. I really liked the facilities and amenities they have. They have a gym, a pool, and the usual things. It was really pretty and very neat, and everything (like the grounds) was very neat and nice. It looked brand new, although it's not. They don't have a restaurant there; they are supposed to have a snack area, but I did not see it."

"The Spires at Berry College is a lovely environment. The people there are very nice. They were very understanding and patient, and they had lots of information. They showed us around, extensively showed us the grounds, and gave us lots of options. They had one bedroom in memory care, but they had studios for assisted living. It's a very nice place. I went over there three times and saw all of it. They have different price points for places to live out there, but the memory care is a wing inside the facility, so they're secure. There's a swimming pool, a workout center, and all the amenities you want. They have buses to take you out if you're not in memory care."

"I toured Renaissance Marquis. It probably would have been our first choice, but they didn't have any two-bedrooms available. They expected to have one within one to two months; however, the distance from us is what ultimately resulted in our choosing the other facility. Nevertheless, it was clean. The staff who gave the tour was very friendly and very helpful. I met a couple of the residents, and they're as sweet as could be."

"My mother moved into Manor Lake Cartersville. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The facility was very clean and neat. And in the process, they walk us through every step of the way. And, when my mother visited, she loved the place. She loved the facility. She loved the interaction with the staff and the patients there or residents. I went to visit her yesterday and they were singing, dancing, arts and crafts. They do outings off the premises. They go to parks, movies, and restaurants. She said they go to zoos and places like that. We met the activities coordinator and he has a lot of great ideas as far as keeping them active, keeping them up and moving. And, they have family night bingo. That was another thing that got us there, because of the family involvement with the activities. But it was very, very active. A lot of things to do. That was one thing my mother truly enjoyed so far being there is that there's always something to do. They do a lot of karaoke."

"We saw the dining room at the Spring House at Cartersville. The rooms are still being renovated, and because of the renovations it wasn't safe to go view the rooms. But they had pictures of the rooms, and the pictures looked very nice. We got to see the place where they would be doing crafts, projects, and all kinds of entertainment for the residents. It was all very nice. I think it was a hotel that was renovated for assisted living. They sat down and talked with us, they showed us the pictures, and we got pamphlets. We got all kinds of verbal information and written information that we could take home with us. The staff we met were very intelligent. They were telling us all kinds of information, showing us the projects that they had been working on, and showing us the crafts that they have for the residents, some of the plans they have for the future, and things for them to do. What we saw was great. They also have patios, and they have a pool that's being reconstructed so that it can be used for water aerobics."

Review of The Spires at Berry College
I visited The Spires just last month. It's new, it's beautifully decorated, it offers all the amenities you'd want, and the staff in there were great. It's just very expensive. We saw one room; it...
