"River Oaks Place - Lenoir City was nice and clean, and the staff was great. The administrative staff that we dealt with was really good and seemed like they really cared about their residents. The apartments were nice and spacious, but some were nicer than the others."

"When I first walked in, I was greeted at the door by a smiling face who directed me to the elevators. I noticed that the lobby was very warm and inviting. As I stepped off the elevator I noticed the hustle and bustle that was going on. I asked a nurse what was going on, she said, "We're going to play bingo." I chuckled to myself saying, "I know Uncle Bill would be right in the middle of this." That's where I found him. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The nurses are very friendly and willing to talk to you in private if needed. They cater to the needs of the patient and for that I am very grateful. "

"I think the main reason that I chose The Lodge at Shannondale was that it has a swimming pool. I like to do water aerobics and stuff like that, and they do have that there. They also have a physical therapy department. They have a lady that comes in and gives you a massage. If you want this, you have to pay extra. They also have a podiatrist that comes in every three months. They have a coffee shop. The rooms are very nice. They have three different one-bedrooms, and they have two-bedrooms. You pay a membership fee first, but then your monthly payment is lower than the other places that I visited. The staff was so friendly. Everybody was just so friendly, had smiles on their faces, and just very nice. They introduced themselves to me, and that was very good. The rooms were fairly spacious. They either have a patio or balcony. I have a dog, and dogs are allowed. They have a dog park there, too. They have a nurse on staff 24 hours. If you need help with your medication, they will help you. There is a call button in the room that you press every morning to let them know that you're out of bed. There's a lot of security there. There's a chaplain on staff. I really like all that. The room was very nice. This is a positive thing to me, but you don't have a stove or a cooktop in the room. You have to go get your meals, and I think that makes you more social; you don't just sit in your room. They have a microwave and a convection oven."

"Parkview West Knoxville is a two-story apartment. The location is really good. It's close to everything, but it's quiet here. There's not a lot of traffic noise. There's always a lot going on. The food's good. It's only about three years old, so all the amenities and furniture is new. The staff is really great. They're very friendly and very nice. We have housekeeping come in once a week to change your bed, wash the linens, vacuum, mop, and dust the room. The housekeeping staff is good. They have breakfast from 7:00 to 9:00. They serve a continental breakfast in the morning while the evening meal/supper is served. There's a good variety as well. Then they have yoga class, church services, and outings. They've got a beauty/barbershop, a masseuse that comes in, a spa that you can enjoy, a movie theater, and an exercise room with the machines and stuff. They're very attentive and nice. The place is very clean."

"I moved in and it is great. The staff is wonderful. They have a library, they have an exercise room, and they also have a lady that comes around and assesses you, and if they think that you need to go and get some exercise or physical therapy. I know they have bingo, and they have wine night. They also have planned trips, and if you have a doctor's appointment, they will get you there and back here again. I think they have a piano bar once a week, and I think they have like singalongs. They have a patio area, a courtyard, and they have a front porch; it's very nice."

"I moved to Broadway Towers. I like it because the people are friendly, and it's like a second home. The neighbors are friendly. It's just like a big family. It's all completely furnished with appliances and even a washer and dryer. They do occasionally have get-togethers down in a community room, where all of us make meals and gather. There are a lot of places around for shopping, and I like that, too. The staff is very friendly and nice. They do have activities, but I don't participate a lot in that, but you can go down to the game room and play cards."

"I will be moving into Park Place of Fountain City. What I liked the most was the atmosphere. Everybody seemed to enjoy themselves there. I had one person who's lived there since December of last year and she was saying how nice the place was. I went to a party last Friday night there and was very well received, and was very happy with the people there. I had dinner at the party, and the food was delicious. I was impressed with the staff. The whole place was clean. I felt that out of all of the places, and I had looked at probably seven or eight, this one stood out in my mind that that's where I wanted to move. They're sending me a November calendar, so I have an idea of what they will be having in November. They have a lot going on at the building and they have a lot of trips to different stores and things. I'm very impressed with the place."

"Prime West Knoxville was brand new, and it was gorgeous. Even the floors were hard surface, which is easier to walk on or use a walker. They just didn't have adequate facilities for my dog, that's why I didn't choose them. They only offer independent living. The staff was very kind, friendly, and helpful. It's near shopping, and the grounds were beautiful. They even have a hydroponic garden on the grounds."

"I toured Park Place of West Knoxville. It was all studio rooms, and the rooms were small. The facilities were very nice though. Other than the rooms, the facilities were very nice. The lady staff was very nice. I don't remember any activities. When we saw the room, I really didn't pay that much attention because I don't want that kind of room. The layout was nice. However, I didn't see anybody walking around doing anything. Everything was clean, and everything was very nice. I don't think there's any way that they can make bigger rooms, and that would be the only thing they would need to change. The facilities and everything were beautiful. They have a place where they do arts and crafts, and they have a library and a theater, too."

"I liked the open floor plan at The Villages of Farragut and the fact that each unit had either a screen porch or a sunroom. The marketing person was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable, gave a very thorough tour, and contacted a couple of people so that I could see their units. The living atmosphere seemed to be very pleasant."

"I toured The Glen at Oak Ridge. What I liked best was that the facility was nice and bright. The people were very happy. At least, they appeared to be. The rooms were nice. The facility was just too far for me. I met one of the staff members, plus the person who is taking you around, and they're very nice. They would answer all the questions. The facility was bright. There were plenty of comfortable chairs and tables. I saw the food service, and it was well done."

"My mother-in-law is in Ashbury Place, and the staff seems to be at an appropriate level. We have been pleased with the care she is receiving, and she likes the care also. The food seems nice, and the place is clean and well taken care of. It’s close to where we are, and it’s a plus. If she needs something, they are there to assist with whatever she needs. "

"My sister lived at Parkview for approximately five years. During her stay she always called it her home. She loved the other residents and Parkview staff. Friendships were made that lasted until her death at another facility in February 2023. Parkview staff was always available to do needed technology and to take her to her many doctor appointments. Hanna was especially helpful during her stay. Even when my sister was at another facility or at the hospital Parkview staff and residents came to visit and encourage her. My family will always have a special affection and gratefulness for the people of Parkview."
