I will be moving into Park Place of Fountain City. What I liked the most was the atmosphere. Everybody seemed to enjoy themselves there. I had one person who's lived there since December of last year and she was saying how nice the place was. I went to a party last Friday night there and was very well received, and was very happy with the people there. I had dinner at the party, and the food was delicious. I was impressed with the staff. The whole place was clean. I felt that out of all of the places, and I had looked at probably seven or eight, this one stood out in my mind that that's where I wanted to move. They're sending me a November calendar, so I have an idea of what they will be having in November. They have a lot going on at the building and they have a lot of trips to different stores and things. I'm very impressed with the place.

I liked Park Place of Fountain City. It was clean, tidy, and the rooms were large. The staff was also very nice and very helpful. They had a calendar of their activities, and every day, there were lots of things to do that were going on. They had exercise groups, they would have parties for the different residents there, and they would go on trips. The dining area was nicely decorated. It wasn't clinical. It was more home-like. The price was just right. It was good. The other places were more expensive and the rooms were small.

Currently Park Place of Fountain City is suffering. After the director left to a higher level position, the place started on a downward trend. Food, maintenance, cleaning, etc. all suffered. Then most of the staff left because of an enforced vaccination policy. Just as well. Most didn’t even mask unless watched by leadership. Only one staff member was present for an entire weekend! He did what he could but was responsible for feeding and helping all of the residents! Not possible for one person to do. Mom lived there for 17 years. She asked to move so we took her to another more responsible facility. The ownership corporation should be ashamed of their handling of their policy transition and how they showed total disregard for their residents welfare. The rooms are nice enough, staff interactions when there were some to speak with were not informative at all. They didn’t know what to tell us about the problems. Activities and amenities are few and far between.

My mother is in Park Place of Fountain City. It's been great. They're very kind, and it's very clean. The food is good. Everything about it is good. In general, I never had a complaint. The staff is very kind. With COVID, it changed a little, but they have activities. They have games, art activities, and some outings. It's easy access.

My mother lived here for 7 years. The staff is very caring and helpful and has some wonderful people who go the extra mile on a regular basis. That was the best part. We waited for years for the food to improve but when my mother kept losing weight because she could not eat it, we knew it was time to go. The mgmt said it would get better, but they never popped in to surprise the cooks. If they had they would have known how bad it was. They said that they would get a bus with lift and fix the speed bumps but didn't. The housekeeping staff needs training. Sweet girls but can't clean. Seems they pay staff enough to just get by. The most needed thing is a door that opens so you can get in when you're loaded down with with bags and have no free hands.

Park Place was modern, clean, and well maintained, but they didn't offer as much as other communities did. They had games and a few parties but not much entertainment. Their staff wasn't too friendly, either. The management interacted with the residents and was very friendly. The room was clean and well lit but seemed older. The rates were high and wasn't affordable for my dad.

Our grandmother's pain killers were frequently stolen. She complained about the food. Limited transportation. Little to no activities. After her death, we were treated with a cold shoulder by an insensitive staff. So much for that "five star treatment" they advertise.

I didn't like Parkview at all. They had a bus, and they're supposed to have a wheelchair lift, but they didn't have it. They need to have a bath tub, but they only had showers. We needed assisted living; it was only independent living.
