It is less than a half mile from Starr Regional Medical Center - Athens, They focus on inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation with 24-hour skilled nursing care, Life Care Center of Athens features state-of-the-art equipment, like the Biodex Balance System SD. Their in-house team of therapists and nurses create individualized care plans for each resident and patient taking into consideration their needs and goals. For patients with Alzheimer’s and other dementia-related disorders, the facility features a secured unit to provide a safe and caring environment. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The facility is clean and has a pleasant smell. I would recommend this facility to anyone needing short-term rehabilitation or long term care. "

"Dominion of Athens is a beautiful complex, and the people are the best. My brother-in-law is doing better there than he has done in a long time. Everything is excellent. The place is very clean and neat, and the service is super. They have activities for the residents. He has a nice single-room apartment in the memory care unit. I highly recommend it."

"I feel very good about the care my mother gets at Golden Years. It feels like a large, happy home, with loving, personal attention by the staff and medical care provided either on-site or by transportation to local services. They cook actual home-style, tasty, healthy meals and provide all levels of assistance, as needed, from bathing, dressing, blood-sugar-testing, etc. I cannot imagine I'd have found a better place for my mother - she had received sub-par care in far more expensive facilities prior to moving her to Golden Years from out of state. The all-inclusive monthly fee is extremely good value. The only drawback perhaps is that the local hospital may not provide the spectrum of care needed by some people - you need to look into this first. By the way, Golden Years took good care of my grandmother, too, who passed at the age of nearly 107, after 7 years of dedicated care there. They are extremely patient and understanding of residents with dementia, and the facility is well secured."

"Victorian Square was pretty nice. The staff who toured us around did well showing us everything and telling us everything we need to know. The dining area was nice. They had everything from movie nights to bingo and all kinds of activities. The rooms were adequate. It had a place for a bed and a bathroom, and basic stuff you would need. The layout of the place was just a little awkward."

"This place is very quiet. It has a deck and many sitting areas for the residents. Another reason why we chose this place for my mother in law is that it's out in the country. She's used to this lifestyle. Her room is bigger compared to the one she has at home. She has a small table beside her bed, two chairs (one is a rocking chair), her own bathroom, and a nice, small walk in closet. The staff is really nice to her. She actually thinks they are her family. They pay attention to her needs. Since she's diabetic, they make sure her meals are always on time. They give her a small snack whenever she feels weak, they help her prepare for church and get her hair done. They've been great; they keep in touch with us if there are problems. Some activities present in this place are having the residents' nails done, planting flowers and watching TV together. However, it's better if residents have their own TV in their rooms. My mom became healthier after weeks when we brought her to this place. They are really taking good care of her. "

"My dad was at the NHC Place, Farragut. Overall, it was a good experience. It was clean. They were remodeling prior to my dad leaving, but up-to-date. They had an activities room. They had an Elvis impersonator come to their show. It was a friendly staff. They were accommodating."

We know that our loved one is receiving the best possible care, and that they are safe, comfortable, and happy. We are truly grateful for the staff at Autumn Care and the wonderful care they provide. "We liked Clover Hill Senior Living. They have a lot of activities for the seniors. I feel like that would be the place that I would like to get my sister in. However, they had some stuff going on, so the staff that we talked to was a little bit snooty. It was like, 'Don't waste my time if you can't get her in,' and I thought that was not good. Everything outside was really good. They have a courtyard and a salon. I think the rooms were a good size for what people need that need to be there. It looked very clean and very well-kept. In terms of location, it's near the hospital, restaurant, Wal-Mart, and a drugstore. It's pretty close to everything. "

"Linda Gregg Trenton is amazing in every way, treats his staff with the utmost respect. Genuinely cares and has compassion for his patients. He welcomes everyone with open arms, it’s a friendly, family oriented atmosphere feels like home. He keeps the place sparkling clean, the food is absolutely delicious. If you are looking for a place for your loved one, you have found it. My Mom loves it here. ."

"The Veranda at Life Care Center of Rhea County was a fairly large facility. They had a whole calendar of activities and they took seniors out to restaurants once a month. They also take them to the bank, to Walmart, and other places, so they had a lot going on for their assisted living residents. There is also a nursing home attached to it. My father-in-law has dementia and this is more of an assisted living facility; it is not like a memory care facility or anything. For people with dementia -- especially advanced dementia -- I don't think they would have the right type of care. I really did not see anything on which they needed to improve. They had rooms available, but it is a newer facility, so it hadn't filled up yet. The nursing facility was full, but the assisted living facility still had openings. "

"We had a beyond amazing experience with the staff and administrator,Beth. Our mom stayed at Liberty for 5 1/2 years.She wasnt just a resident, she was part of a loving family.she was always included in all the activities. The food is wonderful. The food is home cooked and suited to the residents. Our mother ate food there she would have never touched before. The residents truly care a great deal for each other.kelly the activities director is a blessing. The activities are fun,engaging and keep the mind active.i cant say enough about Beth. She was always available to answer questions, offer help,and made sure our mother was always cared for as of she were a member of her family. The facility is always clean and decorated nicely. The nurses go above and beyond.when we traveled we always knew she was in very good hands. When it came down near the end ,everyone was so kind and loving. Someone to check on us make sure we ate, and provided all the love and support we could imagine was always close by. I truly love each and every stsff member there.i will never gorget their kindness.
