Assisted Living Communities in Sevierville, TN

"We found Oakwood Senior Living for my brother. The staff has been very wonderful, and he's not the easiest patient to take care of. He loves the food, and he's very picky. What we've seen has been very nice. They took pictures of him in his room after he moved in and we were very pleased with it. The rooms are spacious, because it's an old school, they have nine-foot windows, so there's lots of natural light, and they have really nice, big, handicap accessible bathrooms. His room has a little refrigerator, and a little counter area, and that's all he needs. It's everything that he would need. One thing that was nice was we could use their furniture or ours, and we kind of did both. There is an activity director, but because of COVID they can't do a whole lot. They were taking some of them to sit for a drive in the bus. I said, "Do they get to go somewhere?" She said, "We're literally just taking them for a ride, they never get out of the bus". So I thought that was kind of neat. As for COVID, I know they go to the movies, they go to the mountains, there were several things that we got to pick from for what he wanted to do, so there were several activities that he could do, that he could choose from, but not right now. They seemed to be the most reasonable, their rooms were bigger, and they just definitely were cheaper for the amount of space that he's going to get."

"I toured Brookdale Browns Creek assisted living. It seemed like it's very friendly, open, nice and the people were helpful. It's also very clean and a nice place to be. The staff who accommodated me was very good. The rooms were very roomy and nicely set up. They had their own bath and kitchen. Some rooms were studios and some were different. The studio ones had plenty of room in them. The dining area was nice and clean. The facility is very clean, well-kept, up-to-date, and just seemed like a nice place to live. I remember seeing a fitness room too."

"The staff was wonderful! They were my uncle's second family. The love and care he received while living there gave me a peace of mind , knowing he was seen to. The staff was always available to answer my questions and concerns. My uncle lived at Windsor Ridge a little over 3 years until he passed. I would highly recommend Windsor Ridge to anyone for their loved one!"

"Wellington Manor of Knoxville was clean. The only thing that I noticed is that they might have been short of help, but I think many places run into that. The living spaces were great, and the rooms were set up good. They can bring their own furniture. The kitchen looked clean. The staff members were very helpful and very courteous, but it appeared that they were very busy, and sometimes, residents had to wait."

"The rooms that my friends had in Brookdale Sandy Springs were pretty nice. They weren't as big as what we have here, but it was big enough for them. They even offered to give us free lunch. The staff was very nice. The lady said to us right away if we wanted to take a tour, she could, and so she took us on a tour. They have exercise classes, entertainment, and other activities. Everything was clean. The people I knew who lived there were telling me how clean it was. It was great. I was glad that they liked it."

"My visit at Deane Hill Place was good. It was my second choice. The staff was excellent. She was knowledgeable, very friendly, and polite. In fact, she has followed up several times even though she knows that I went somewhere else, just to check on my husband. They gave me a bag of cookies. It's an older building."

"I give it two thumbs up. I picked this community for my mom because of its convenience to where I live and convenience to her doctors. The staff is also really good from top to bottom. She doesn't participate that much in their activities because she has limited mobility. She has her own bathroom, her room is just like a big suite with a bath in it. She has her furniture, two reclining chairs, and it's pretty spacious."

"We were given a tour of the facilities, made very welcome and fed lunch. The facilities have everything we looked for in terms of space for a couple living together, an Alzheimer's unit, if needed and the staff seemed very professional, yet caring and warm. The schedule of events was impressive and the menu for meals appropriate and adequate, including concern for my wif's diabetes and food allergies. If they have space, we will strongly consider a placement there when needed in the not too distant future. "

"We were very impressed with Northshore Heights - Knoxville. You feel like you're going into a resort hotel because it had a lot of seating outside. It had the look of a resort hotel both in the front when you went in and in the back where they had a very nice seating area. The back faces up a hill, and it's on a ridge. It was nicely laid out. It was very comfortable because when you go in the front, there were seating areas out there where people can just hang out. In the back, they had the same thing with a patio area, and it was very comfortable. The dining room had a very high ceiling. It had a kind of a lodge feel to it. The apartment units were all nice. The building was clean, looked fairly new, and there was a lot of good stuff to it. They didn't try to be too fine on all extras. It wasn't complicated like some places where they have like five different levels. It was a simple model. It makes it more predictable. I liked that we didn't have to try to guess as much on which level my sister-in-law would be. It was a nice facility. It was wheelchair friendly, but you didn't feel like it was a hospital or anything. It had that comfortable feel to it. They had a little bit of a basic menu. It was adequate but it was the kind that you might get bored if that's all you ate. We only talked to the salesperson. She took us around, and she was very pleasant, but it seemed like when you run into the people there, they seemed to be friendly. I didn't see anything negative there. She showed us quite a few units of the different types they had. It was pretty nice. They even had a little land for expansion there."

"American House West Knoxville was a nice facility. I didn't see anything wrong with it. I think the price point was too high for us for my in-laws. The staff was very friendly. We saw the activity calendar and stuff like that. They had bingo, they had movie nights, and they take them out for trips like shopping. Those were the things we saw."

"It was very good. I liked the fact that they had some rooms with a terrace. They had little areas to sit outside that mom could go into. It was very nice; it was one of my choices if they could help me take care of mom’s care. "

"my mother in law, my mother and dad, then my dad alone were in what was then Markhill.. Mother in law had independent apartment first, then care in the main building, Mom and Dad had 2bedroom aprt. for some years, then Dad had one bedroom apt, then room in main building. the main building was when more care was needed and not able to wander alone. I noted someone said the diningroom was too far to walk....there was a golf buggy that made rounds to pick up those that could not walk when my Mother in law was there. All in all, I remember thinking this was not bad and I probably could do it when the time came for myself. it was some 15-20 years younger building then. I have not check it lately, but I am downsizing a large home and have been looking for options, so will be looking into this one again. "

"My step-mother moved into Dominion of Sevierville. Her room is adequate-sized and has everything that she needs. They have all-inclusive pricing, like they clean the room for her, they offer medicine-administration, assistance with bathing, and three meals and two snacks a day. They also have a lot of other activities for the seniors. I have a very favorable impression of the staff, they're very compassionate and attentive to her needs. We're very pleased with it, plus the place is very clean."
