"My mom moved into Trinity Hills of Knoxville. It's more like a family. Everybody kind of helps everybody else, not just the staff, but also the people that are in it. It's excellent. Her room feels more like an apartment, because it has a kitchenette, kitchen cabinets on top and bottom, even though it only has a microwave, and a small fridge. It has a sink, which is nice. The activities are awesome. They do breakfast, two activities, lunch, and then two more activities, and then dinner. Sometimes they have church, once during the week, and on the weekends, but they also have the gospels in the morning, which is very important to us with Mom's faith. The weekends are a little bit more like that. They do breakfast, lunch, dinner, but they have bingo on Saturday and then they have Sunday school Bible study and worship on Sunday. She gets dessert for lunch and dinner. They offer sugar free. She's diabetic, so that's important and she loves it. We had a meal there and it was really good."

"My mom is in independent living at South Knoxville Senior Living. I'm very pleased with it. She is settling in well. The only improvement I could see would be in the dietary part because, with my mom's diabetes, they are kind of heavy on carbohydrates, but that's my only concern. The staff members are friendly, engaged, and responsive to my mom. It's newly remodeled and kept clean. Regarding activities, my mom has reported that she enjoyed them."

"Wellington Manor of Knoxville was clean. The only thing that I noticed is that they might have been short of help, but I think many places run into that. The living spaces were great, and the rooms were set up good. They can bring their own furniture. The kitchen looked clean. The staff members were very helpful and very courteous, but it appeared that they were very busy, and sometimes, residents had to wait."

"my mother in law, my mother and dad, then my dad alone were in what was then Markhill.. Mother in law had independent apartment first, then care in the main building, Mom and Dad had 2bedroom aprt. for some years, then Dad had one bedroom apt, then room in main building. the main building was when more care was needed and not able to wander alone. I noted someone said the diningroom was too far to walk....there was a golf buggy that made rounds to pick up those that could not walk when my Mother in law was there. All in all, I remember thinking this was not bad and I probably could do it when the time came for myself. it was some 15-20 years younger building then. I have not check it lately, but I am downsizing a large home and have been looking for options, so will be looking into this one again. "

"My step-mother moved into Dominion of Sevierville. Her room is adequate-sized and has everything that she needs. They have all-inclusive pricing, like they clean the room for her, they offer medicine-administration, assistance with bathing, and three meals and two snacks a day. They also have a lot of other activities for the seniors. I have a very favorable impression of the staff, they're very compassionate and attentive to her needs. We're very pleased with it, plus the place is very clean."

"I toured South High Senior Living. My dad will be moving in there about the 17th of January. Actually, I did a virtual tour and then they gave me a quick peek when I was there in person dropping the check off. They showed me the memory care unit. It was excellent, and it far exceeded my expectations. The staff was well above and beyond. I saw one room physically, and it was gorgeous, it had big windows, everything looked really nice."

"We went to Wellington Manor Assisted Living. We were taken on a tour mainly in assisted living. They did take us back just to show us a little bit about memory care. At the time that we went for the visit, they were having some computer issues, so the main person didn't get to talk to us a lot. I just had one of the staff members take us on the tour. It's clean. They had the living room type area, dining area, courtyard, all the extra things that you normally think of when you go to a place like that. They had individual rooms and there's a suite where they had separate bedrooms, but they have a common bathroom and a kitchenette or living area. It had a wall partition and a door where they have their own individual bedroom. I like that part about it. The person that took us on the tour knew quite a bit. She had a pamphlet and had all the information that we needed. If we had questions, she let us ask the questions, but they were having some computer issues, so you could tell she was kind of stressed a little bit over that. Overall, it was good. I was pretty satisfied with it."

"We have moved my mother-in-law to Renaissance Terrace. I chose it mainly because it's one of the facilities that accepts the CHOICES program. It's one of the two facilities in this area that accepted the CHOICES program for the assisted living level. The staff were very helpful. Everything was fine. The place is very spacious and we are very pleased with the facility. The rooms were the best from what I've seen in the area. It is also very spacious. I would recommend them to anyone. "

"My father in law has been at NHC Fort Sanders for 2 weeks after hospitalization for his third stroke. I am impressed by the cleanliness of the facility and lack of foul smells that occur with chronic incontinence. He is very grouchy but still getting excellent care with the VERY patient and caring staff, especially the physical therapy team, who he literally curses with entire sentences of four letter words. As a medical provider I am well-versed with the “difficult” patient. He is the definition of a difficult patient, but is treated with respect and kindness as well as clinical expertise. "

"Morningview is assisted living but they also offer a separate rehab. My mom is a resident in their assisted living. We looked at other facilities, and out of all of them, we felt that this one suited my mom's needs the best. Unlike the other facility wherein they charge per service, with this one, it's all included in the price. The facility is nice inside. It also smells good. The community rooms are lovely and comfortable. There's a lot of natural light in their rooms and I thought that was nice. Some of other places we visited didn't have much natural light coming in. The staff is very caring. They have quite a few activities going on there. They have exercise class three days a week, church activities, performance group coming in and they have bingo. "

"My mom lived at Heritage at Knoxville for two years. The have very big rooms and their food was good. They have very reasonable prices and they always make the family very welcome. They do bingo, and they also do flowers. They take some day trips and walk to the mountains. They do not have clinical staff and that is probably one of their shortcomings. They just have caregivers, but they really care about the people that live there. "

"The Courtyards Senior Living was extremely nice. The staff was extremely helpful, educating me of how their facilities works. The young lady that I spoke with was very good. They had open dining which I really liked. They offered a lot of interactions between all of the people. They had people come in, and they had games; they had a lot of things that they offered. They were very open, very free with people that they were working with and allowed them to take for themselves even though they were still in the assisted living. They felt like they were at home, and that was one of the things I was very impressed with. "

"The staff at The Courtyards Senior Living- The Meadows was really friendly. The lady showed me one room after another and then the staff came up and she was telling them about the rooms and stuff like that. They were very bubbly as they showed me the assisted living. It was closer to where I live and I just love the friendliness of everybody. The maintenance and cleanliness were excellent too."

"We had a beyond amazing experience with the staff and administrator,Beth. Our mom stayed at Liberty for 5 1/2 years. She wasnt just a resident, she was part of a loving family.she was always included in all the activities. The food is wonderful. The food is home cooked and suited to the residents. Our mother ate food there she would have never touched before. The residents truly care a great deal for each other.kelly the activities director is a blessing. The activities are fun, engaging and keep the mind active.i cant say enough about Beth. She was always available to answer questions, offer help, and made sure our mother was always cared for as of she were a member of her family. The facility is always clean and decorated nicely. The nurses go above and beyond.when we traveled we always knew she was in very good hands. When it came down near the end ,everyone was so kind and loving. Someone to check on us make sure we ate, and provided all the love and support we could imagine was always close by. I truly love each and every stsff member there.i will never gorget their kindness. If you are looking for a home environment for your loved one, you really should consider Liberty Assisted Living. You will be more than happy that you did. "

"I moved my mother to this wonderful facility over a year ago after several months in another Knoxville assisted living. Courtyards on Inskip was always my first choice, but they didn't have an opening when I first moved my mom from her home. You could not find a better place anywhere; I am convinced of that. I visited every facility in town numerous times, and some in other cities, to be sure I was choosing the best place. The Courtyards is just different in all the ways that matter. First of all, you feel at home immediately upon entering the facility. The facility is airy and has lots of windows; the individual resident rooms are larger than anywhere else, with nice windows and beautiful bathroom and large closets. The residents enjoy a beautiful backyard setting with gazebo and seating, fountain, and garden area. And as the director, Cindy Winegar, likes to say, you feel just as good when you leave at the end of your visit as you do when you arrive. I sleep well at night knowing my mother has this kind of caring environment. The employees are simply amazing, from the director to the activities director, to the wonderful nurses, to the cooks and cleaning personnel who all help with the caregiving as well. Everyone there is a caregiver at heart and they function as such. They go WAY above and beyond the call of duty. They are super busy all the time but they treat you and your parent as though you are the most important people in the world. The food is wonderful and my mother, who had lost weight in her first assisted living, gained back the weight and then some to become much stronger. This was one of my main concerns. Everyone at the Courtyards is family, not only to my mother, but to me. The staff is so well trained, and it is obvious they have ongoing training and are well versed in all aspects of cognitive decline. They have helped me so much and guided me along the journey of my mother's memory decline. You can feel pretty alone without this kind of help and guidance. The cost is lower than any of the other facilities I would have considered for my mom, and they don't hide any fees like the others. What you see is what you get. The Courtyards is simply head and shoulders above any other place. I pat myself on the back daily for finding it and moving my mother when I had the chance. This is where I plan to go when my time comes!! (Sometimes when i see and smell the food I'm ready to move in now.) "

"I was at first happy with visiting this facility as the staff seemed professional and the facility was clean and up to date. After I had visited this facility and one of the patients a few times, I was in a patients room, I saw a tech change a patients brief, and immediately after standing bedside, the tech took out her phone and began texting. I found this to be very unprofessional. This happened a few more times. I was not happy with the professionalism at all. "
