Assisted Living Communities in Jackson, TN

"My mother is now in Alexandria Place for assisted living. It's a smaller assisted community with only 25 residents there, which is why we chose them. We've had excellent and we've had no complaints. My mom enjoys the food in the dining area. The staff has been extremely attentive and it's been wonderful, they're excellent and met every need. She's in a 1-bedroom which is like a studio-type, and it has a walk-in bathroom. They have activities like bingo, exercise classes, and they do worship type events. My mom has a PEG tube that needs to be flushed out every weekend, and their nurse don't do that on the weekend so they allow us to come through a door on the weekend. Their beauty salon was one of the things we were excited about, and they also have a courtyard."

"We went with Regency, and I think it's pretty good. I like the staff because they seem like they're on top of things. Anytime we see anything that we might not like, they're right on it, and they take care of my mother-in-law. When we get there, she looks good; she's smiling and laughing. It's really clean and nice, and it seems like they're making sure that everybody is taken care of well. There aren't any odors, the room is cleaned, and they wash her clothes. I like everything about it. The reason I gave them four stars is because it seems like they're short-staffed. Even though they're doing a good job, I still think they should have more people. "

"The staff were friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. The food was exceptional and was prepared in a nice setting. There were tons of activities on the board. They had singing, Piano classes, Bingo, Board games, and even had a garden out back for the residents. The floors and walls were nice. It smelled good on the inside of the facility, and there were employees at literally every corner to help residents and visitors alike.They offewr transportation to and from doctor visits, and seem to keep a tight ship. It was very clean inside the visitor restrooms and the resident rooms as well. "

"Cades Center was small and clean, and I liked it. They didn’t have any available rooms, but I did like the staff that I talked to. I talked to a lot of people over there who were very, very nice. The location was close to me. "

"Wesley Fountain is clean, very nice, and has a very nice atmosphere. It is more like being in your home rather than being in an assisted living. I like it that it is not a huge facility. I have a friend that I visit there. They have large rooms that you can share, or you can have your own. She is in her own room, and she is able to bring her furniture. She's pleased with the services and everything. I know they have recreation, I just don't know up to what extent. All the residents seem to be happy and enjoy the recreation they have there. The staff is very friendly. Their dining facility is very nice. It is more of a restaurant style, and it is large enough for the facility. "

"I would highly endorse Oakhaven. It is a really wonderful place. It is out in the country but still very up-to-date. It offers a lot of privacy. They have many good activities for their residents. The accommodations are just excellent. They are very roomy and clean. You can even have your own furniture in them. As far as I know, the staff members are very competent, but I didn't really deal with them enough. However, my cousin is an RN and her father-in-law lives in Oakhaven and they're very happy with the staff. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. "

"Henderson Villas is very nice. My friend really likes it. The staff has been very helpful. The food is nice. She says that they don't serve a whole lot of food, but she can ask for seconds. The dining area is not huge; it's got about six tables that sit four people at each. Each time I've gone there's been something going on. Sometimes the people just sit out in the den and watch television or sit and talk. I didn't actually see anything. In the living room they have a piano, books, and crossword puzzles. They have a big screen TV with nice couches. The rates are very reasonable. She has a private room, a big walk-in closet, and a nice bathroom with a shower/tub area. It also has a window to see out and it's nice."

"What a beautiful facility, they have gone above and beyond to make this an amazing community for the senior population. The grounds are beautifully groomed and well maintained. The facility is modern and beautifully decorated well designed. They took time planning this community for the maximum comfort and enjoyment of the residents. The rooms are good size and beautiful. The common areas are very clean and the dining hall is a restaurant but very cozy and homelike family dining. The staff is what sets this community apart. The staff is warm, friendly and attentive. They go above and beyond to make like comfortable and meaningful for the residents. The residents are bright, alert and active. They are active in all of the events and programs they facility has to offer. If you’re looking for a safe and secure environment for your loved one this is the place. They are amazing and will take care of all who enter their doors. "

"The facility in itself is a decent place. I have been visiting my mom there for a long time. I don't really like how they don't like them to have pets. There is not many amenities to talk about. The staff there are ok even though i have been in a confrontation with the manager there for trying to kick my mom out for having pets. The rent is actually a very decent price for what is offered. The rent is based on the income of the resident. I do worry about her though. I have asked her before and she tells me that they don't really come in there to check on her so i dont like that at all. Her door has been broke for close to eight months now and they finally just replaced it. There is things about that facility i dont much care for but i do like that is a block from the pharmacy and the hospital is literally right across the street so that is good. "
