"My visit at Brookdale Dogwood Creek was very friendly, thorough, and nice. The apartments are a little on the small side but I understand. The staff who toured me was very nice, knowledgeable and tried to understand what we were looking for. I think the place was very good."

"I am in Germantown Plantation. They pay for everything but the telephone, and they give us 2 meals a day. The place is very clean, and the food is very good. My husband passed away, so I moved into a one-bedroom apartment, and it is just perfect for me by myself. I have been here four years now. "

"I moved into Story Point Cordova. I haven't found anything that affects my way of living negatively. It has a caring and supportive staff. The food is very good. A couple of meals were a miss, but I figured that when I cooked, I had missed too. They keep the facility very clean. You put your garbage out, and they pick it up and take it to the dumpster. It's very efficient, and housekeeping is once a week. They plan different trips and take you if you don't have a vehicle. They take you shopping, which is scheduled at the grocery store or Walmart. If you have a doctor's appointment, sign up with them, and they'll take you to the doctor and pick you up."

"I liked Foxbridge. It was just too far for me to come. I liked their cabins. They were nice. Maintenance looked good. The staff that gave the tour was nice. I think each cabin had its own dining area. There would be 3 people in one cabin, so there would be three rooms. I noticed that their dining area was small, but it was nice. They were doing some nail polishing when I visited there."

"I toured. I like the room, and the atmosphere seems to be OK. They told me they got a private dining room if you want to have friends, and they do the laundry if you want them to. They have three meals a day, and they have a nurse on duty 24 hours a day. They clean the room once a week. They take you to the doctors if you need to go, and they take you shopping sometimes; it's OK. I've known about this place for a long time, since they built it, and I know people that have lived there. They were happy with it."

"I visited and the rooms were smaller, but very nice. It was very clean. The staff was fine, very nice, and seemed to be happy. They had a patio and grounds."

"Providence Assisted Living of Senatobia is a smaller facility, but the employees are so enthusiastic. They really seem to care about the residents. I talked to several of them. They all said the same thing, that they take really good care of them. My dad has a one-bedroom with a living room, bathroom, and a kitchenette. They have multiple dining areas. They tend to have a big meal at noon and smaller meal at night. They have activities for them. They are taking him up-front to co-mingle with the people there. He's not just stuck in one area, and he could just get up and eat as well. They have to take him through the doors and stuff. They have been renovating rooms, and they'll put vinyl laminate in. They also have foot care come to the facility, somebody to do their hair, games, and events. The other thing which excited my dad, is that they will take them fishing in Arkabutla Lake. My sister can get to the place very easily and very quickly, but we were also very pleased with the staff. They are very caring and very energetic. I judge a lot based on the existing residents that I talked to, and they all seem to be very comfortable."

"I toured Culpepper Place. I liked everything about it. I liked the fact that the apartments had exterior doors to a patio, where residents could have their own patio chairs and a container garden, and, if they had pets, they could take them out. It had French doors for access to the exterior, and interior doors in the building down hallways. The dining room was nice. There were lined seats there. And if you didn't like what was on the menu, they would fix you something from the a la carte menu that day. If you didn't want to eat in the dining room, they would bring it to your apartment. They had a large activities room. When I was there, they were doing the morning devotion. They said it's also where they have TVs and other entertainment. It gave you a very homey atmosphere. When you walked in, there was a check-in center where you signed in and signed out as a visitor, and they also had the residents sign in and out."

"I'm very happy with Hermitage Gardens for my mom. I chose this facility because it was close to where I work, so it is convenient for me to get to her. Aside from assisted living, they also have a memory care facility. They also have a nice dining room. The staff there is very nice and takes care of everything. They check on their residents all day long. My mom gets her medicine on a regular basis and every time they give her her medicines, they would go into her room and check on her. They also clean her room once a week and change her beddings every two weeks. "

"There was nothing I didn't like about Silvercreek Senior Living. It was very nice. They had a parking garage available for rent, and the apartment itself was very beautiful. They had tons of activities. For a small price, they will take you to your doctors and everything. They were very thorough and called us up when the two-bedroom apartment became available. I think they were very proactive in making sure that they could meet our needs. It is just a lovely place, and I would be very happy living there. "

"I like Wesley Meadows' memory care because it's a separate building. Everybody has their own room. There are big open areas and a sunroom, and it overlooks their fenced-in garden. They can go out of the doors when the weather permits. In other words, they have a lot of freedom within the safety of the compound. The rooms are nice. There's only 10 over in the memory care. The only issue with Wesley Meadows is that they have a two to four-month waitlist. But I really like the setup of the memory care. I haven't had a chance to see their food, but they have a kitchen bar type where they have snacks laid out for when people want snacks at any time."

"I went to Riverdale Assisted Living Center. Nina was excellent. She was a good first person to see me walk through the door. She was very professional and very knowledgeable and she made you feel welcome to the facility. She was able to answer every question that we had. She took us on a tour and she kind of gave us what the process was of getting through the intake process. The accommodations were very adequate for what we were looking for. The space looked good, it was clean, and it was a breath of fresh air from some others that I've seen. It would accommodate and allow you to set up your room the same way you would set up an apartment so that my sister would feel at home. The more people feel at home, the better they'll respond. They had activities every day. I like the way they had the TV room set up where it wasn't going to be crowded because it was not gonna accommodate that many people. Their COVID plan for that room was excellent. I liked that the dining hall seemed like it was a family-type dining setting. If she wanted to eat in her room, they would deliver her meals to her room and they were given three meals a day. They were cooking while we were there and the food looked delicious. They also have capabilities for her to go to worship service if she wanted. They have a chapel there. The only staff that I met were the receptionist and Nina, and the two of them were very knowledgeable. They were excellent."

"Walking in makes you feel like home it's cleaning smelling good and every one is really helpful . The atmosphere is nice , relaxing and perfect for a seniors . "

"I went to this place called Tate's Home, which turned out to be a nightmare, so I got out of there as quickly as I can. Nothing nice to say there. With regards to food, a lot of times all you would get was a sandwich. Two pieces of bread, maybe some mayonnaise and mustard and some lunch meat. It just was what it was. I'm eating better out on my own than I was when I was there. Sometimes they would cook, and it would be good. It just certain things that went on there were just wrong. It was not my cup of tea, and it was not really meant to be. There were too many people in one home. I shared a room with three other men there, and it was a garage converted into a bedroom. It did not have central heat, and it did not have central air. I'm paying less money where I am now and living a lot better. With regards to activities, from time to time they would play word check, bingo or something, but I just did not participate."
