"I toured Brookdale Germantown. There was nothing that I did not like. The staff was friendly. The residents were welcoming. It was a very welcoming community. They're very helpful, courteous, and professional. The food was good. Nothing was outstanding that would make me not want to live there. It was clean and well-furnished."

"I toured Brookdale Dogwood Creek. I liked it very much. There wasn't anything I liked least. The reason we chose the other facility was because they would accept him there. He needed both physical therapy and cognitive assistance. He needs some mental care, and he also has some deep tissue wounds that kept him out of some of the licensed places. He was not eligible to go to any places. The staff was nice and lovely. The food was delicious. The facility was very clean. The room sizes were lovely. It's a very cheerful place."

"My friend is at Germantown Plantation Senior Living Community. It's good and very nice. She has a one-bedroom apartment. It's very spacious, it has a patio, and she's happy with it. She can come and go as she wants. They have a lot of activities. People even come in and entertain. They have group things even at night where they will have a special. They have movies almost every night. They have a movie theater, which is comfortable. They have an indoor swimming pool, too. And they have good dining rooms. The food is very good. She loves it out there. She is getting to meet people a lot better than she did before. The place is very clean. There may be a small price for laundry, but housekeeping is included in the rent. And they give out her medication for a small extra fee, which is fine with me. The staff is very good. If my friend has an accident or anything, they come right away. I brought her home the other day and she didn't feel good. I got hold of a nurse, she came quickly and she took care of her. It is very, very good. They have their own doctor on staff. If she has any problems, that doctor would take care of it. If she needs blood work or if she needs an x-ray or something, they can do it there instead of going out someplace."

"My mom and dad are currently transitioning at StoryPoint Collierville. They're in independent and they have started to add care packages and they're starting the discussion to go into some more enhanced. What I like best is I find the staff very helpful and they've been very good about helping us transition as we have different needs pop up. My parents have been here for over two years and I've just always had great experiences. I really like that it's not just that they provide excellent services, they genuinely care about my parents, going the extra mile to make sure they're cared for. My mom just got out of the hospital and missed dinnertime and the head of the whole facility here saw me come in and said, "Hey, does she need dinner?" and personally brought it up to her. I just thought that was so loving. That's not the first time that those kinds of incidents have happened. I've eaten here several times, and I've always enjoyed the meals with my parents. Housekeeping is good. Everything is nice and clean. I've seen my parents put in work orders and the response is well. They celebrate birthdays and they have fun activities. They have movie times that they've gone to. My mom has gone to this one event that has challenging games like trivia and stuff like that. They've had special brunches for families. We were able to rent the facility out for my daughter's baby shower, so that was a really nice option that we could use the facility for that. I really feel like this is really good value for the money that you pay. It's not overly expensive."

"Nice building with friendly, smiling faces. Things seem lively and the staff is very friendly. Mom has been able to make new friends and enjoys happy hour with music."

"I toured Foxbridge. I was hoping I could take my husband there. I have a friend who had her mother-in-law there and they loved it. However, they are in assisted living, and my husband needs skilled care. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and encouraging. When she realized she couldn't help me, she gave me a good list of other facilities that would work. The outdoor campus is beautiful. I saw the outdoor buildings, and the lawns were well-maintained. The office area was very inviting, and it was wonderfully kept."

"I toured. I like the room, and the atmosphere seems to be OK. They told me they got a private dining room if you want to have friends, and they do the laundry if you want them to. They have three meals a day, and they have a nurse on duty 24 hours a day. They clean the room once a week. They take you to the doctors if you need to go, and they take you shopping sometimes; it's OK. I've known about this place for a long time, since they built it, and I know people that have lived there. They were happy with it."

"American House Bartlett was a nice place. It was an excellent place, so I would recommend it for people who get into that situation that can't come and can't afford to go. So, I would recommend it. The person in charge of bringing people in was outstanding in terms of providing information. They were very patient in giving me a tour, and I really liked the room. The unit that I went to was excellent. They are located in nearby restaurants, hospitals, the interstate, and a major mall."

"Providence Assisted Living of Senatobia is a smaller facility, but the employees are so enthusiastic. They really seem to care about the residents. I talked to several of them. They all said the same thing, that they take really good care of them. My dad has a one-bedroom with a living room, bathroom, and a kitchenette. They have multiple dining areas. They tend to have a big meal at noon and smaller meal at night. They have activities for them. They are taking him up-front to co-mingle with the people there. He's not just stuck in one area, and he could just get up and eat as well. They have to take him through the doors and stuff. They have been renovating rooms, and they'll put vinyl laminate in. They also have foot care come to the facility, somebody to do their hair, games, and events. The other thing which excited my dad, is that they will take them fishing in Arkabutla Lake. My sister can get to the place very easily and very quickly, but we were also very pleased with the staff. They are very caring and very energetic. I judge a lot based on the existing residents that I talked to, and they all seem to be very comfortable."

"My sister moved into Culpepper Place 3 weeks ago. Some residents there are in wheelchairs, but it's a nice place. Her apartment is pretty roomy. She's got a living room, a kitchen, a pretty large bedroom, a large bathroom, and a big closet. They have all kinds of activities. They have a little gym, and they do classes. They also have a nice courtyard. They are doing everything they said they would, and they have good meals there. She likes the food. The staff seems nice and kind. They've helped my sister with many things since she's been there. The women at the front desk are always friendly. I can see that all the residents seem happy."

"My mother has been in The Pinnacle of Southaven for a week now. She is still adjusting. The staff is very helpful. My mother seems to be doing as well as she can be. Right now, they're going to give her some more therapy and see if that helps, and they're getting a few things started for her. The room is nice and comfortable. My mother has her own room, and there are open areas that she can go to as well. There's a separate dining room and they encourage everybody to go there for their meals. I talked to the activities director. If they're over in the area where the assisted living is, they'll take the memory care patients over there for activities if it's something special. The main thing that made it the choice for me is its proximity. It's close to where I live. I can go see her any time of the day or night here. I can even take her out to go to appointments or anywhere she wants to go to. Everything that she normally goes to prior to needing 24/7 care is in this area, so that makes it a little easier and less hard on her. It's closer to everything that she needs. Their staff is really great. My mother hasn't had a chance to do a lot of activities, but the activities director is very nice. She sat and talked with me for a while and explained some of the things they do offer, so I'm looking forward to that for my mother."

"I visited Silvercreek Senior Living Community. The campus was beautiful and the rooms were beautiful and very spacious. The dining area was pretty. The facility seemed pretty well laid out. The marketing director was very nice and knowledgeable."

"I like Wesley Meadows' memory care because it's a separate building. Everybody has their own room. There are big open areas and a sunroom, and it overlooks their fenced-in garden. They can go out of the doors when the weather permits. In other words, they have a lot of freedom within the safety of the compound. The rooms are nice. There's only 10 over in the memory care. The only issue with Wesley Meadows is that they have a two to four-month waitlist. But I really like the setup of the memory care. I haven't had a chance to see their food, but they have a kitchen bar type where they have snacks laid out for when people want snacks at any time."
