They help my parents-in-law a great deal, like with showering, doing the laundry, and cleaning the place. They have the resident doctor and if they need to see him, they go in on Friday. They really like him. It's very expensive but OK. They moved in November 17."

"My father stayed in Heritage at Irene Woods. It was very family-oriented. All the seniors that were staying there seemed like a family. They all looked out for each other. I liked the amenities that they had to offer. There are lots of engagement with others, lots of outings, and lots of activities to do for seniors. I did not like the fact that the apartment wasn't as clean as I would have expected it to be upon moving in. The washer wasn't working properly, so we had to immediately get help out there. The ceiling fans were very dirty, like no one even tried to clean the ceiling fans before to moving in. The staff was amazing. Everything was very updated. The outside was really clean. The libraries, the church area, everything was clean. When I was there, they were all getting ready to head out for the zoo. I've also seen that they were having a live magic show. I was only down here for three days and all of this happened within those three days. They had arts and crafts as well. I like the layout. It could have been maybe just a tad bit bigger for the amount of money that they're paying per month, but I don't think it's so much about the size. I think you're paying for the actual amenities because it's like an all-inclusive resort-style community."

"I toured. I like the room, and the atmosphere seems to be OK. They told me they got a private dining room if you want to have friends, and they do the laundry if you want them to. They have three meals a day, and they have a nurse on duty 24 hours a day. They clean the room once a week. They take you to the doctors if you need to go, and they take you shopping sometimes; it's OK. I've known about this place for a long time, since they built it, and I know people that have lived there. They were happy with it."

"My grandmother lives at the Memphis Health Care & Rehab assisted living center. This facility is located at the northern end of Shelby Farms Park and is an older, one story building. The staff members are very friendly and seem dedicated to the health and well being of the residents. It is modestly furnished and by and large appears to be a comfortable place. Residents have to share a room that is partitioned by a curtain. The meal service seems more than adequate. While most of the residents are mobility impaired, there is a monthly events calendar to keep them involved and active. The dining room is spacious for the number of people in it, and there is an option to have meals delivered to the resident's room. The managers appear more than able to efficiently manage the facilities, which are clean and well organized. Residents receive their daily medication and/or treatment with a high degree of consistency in both time and quality of service. My grandmother is very happy with her living situation. "

"Trezevan Manor is too expensive for me -- I can’t afford to give them $150,000 -- but it’s very nice and very friendly. Their meals were not that good, and the rooms were very lovely. There are older people there, and they loved it. Their independent living is very good. "

They care about what they're doing and how they're doing it, which is the main thing. I like the ratio of care to patients. There is a lot of continuity in staffing, and they seem very observant of each patient's needs. My mother likes the food and doesn't say anything negative about it. They have a social advisor. They have church activities, they have movies, and they bring in a lot of different entertainment on Wednesdays and Fridays. They're a little expensive. They could be cheaper than what they cost. My mother has long-term care insurance in assisted living, so that's what they rely on."
