My wife was in StoryPoint Germantown in memory care for about a year. They took excellent care of her, and all the personnel were very caring, very professional, and made her feel very comfortable. Melanie is the director and she was always very much involved. I would visit my wife three times a week for lunch and the staff would bring her out into the assisted living area from the memory care area and we could have a lunch by ourselves. Melanie, Jennifer and Tony would all stop by and say hello and give my wife a hug and just made her feel very comfortable. She never felt like she was stuck in the facility. She had dementia, but in her dementia state, she felt very comfortable and people really enjoyed her and took care of her. Her room in memory care was sizable, and I would occasionally stop in unannounced just to kind of check it out and it was always clean. There was no odor, no stains, no nothing. They did a great job. She was well cared for. She was always in clean clothes and happy. It was a good experience under the circumstances. Tony is the activities director, and they had some activities in memory care, but they would bring her out into the assisted living area where they had daily activities. Tony would make sure that she and probably a couple other people in the memory care would come out and enjoy activities that normally would only be for the assisted living folks. She loved the dance and she was able to do that through Tony's direction. It's a wonderful place. Should I ever need their assistance, that's where I would go myself. If my wife had a problem, I'd get a call. They would update me. They would call me if she would happen to fall or she had a UTI once. They called the ambulance and I met them at the hospital. They are a very caring group of people. Melanie obviously as a director leads that group and they follow by her example, but very friendly. I looked at probably six places before I selected them. To me, that all boils down to the people. The facility itself looks like a nice hotel. It's comfortable, very spaciousl, kept updated and clean. I just really can't say enough about them and it made that last year of my wife's life a pretty good one all things considered. The food was very good. I would eat lunch there three times a week. It's a gorgeous facility.

I'm a resident of StoryPoint Germantown. Everybody is so friendly, speaks to you when you pass them or see them or waves. They love to stop and talk a while if there's time. There's always something to do. They have good activities. I just love it because it's active and everybody seems happy and nobody's around complaining. They have movies to watch. We go out to the field or to a park and have a picnic and the food is always good. You don't have to worry about what are they going to have because you know whatever it is, it's going to be good and you can have refills if you want it so you can't go hungry around here. It's a clean, pretty, and comfortable place to be in. The lobby is very comfortable and warm. A lot of people go in there before or after a meal and sit and talk so you get to know everybody. We have a good couple of outdoor spots that nobody can break in. It's real secure and it's a good time to just sit in the sun or sit in a shade and talk to friends. They have games to play, badminton and all that. A lot of chairs are available to sit outside in the fresh air and we have a lot of good weather in Memphis. It's a good place to make friends. I meet people here and there in the cafeteria and ask them to come on out and visit with us on these pretty days. My apartment is roomy. It is not too large to where you're kind of lost and you have to decorate a lot. It's a real good size with a bedroom. It's got a nice closet and two or three windows in it, but we don't raise them for security. They keep the building nice and comfortable so we don't ever need to raise the window. We have tables for card games and lots of games up in the third floor or second floor, and then bingo. We get to know and just encourage others to come and join us particularly when they first come in, so they will feel like it's home. My room is decorated nicely. The pictures are well chosen and the curtains are good. Nothing's overdone to where you feel like it's just too much decoration. We love to read around here and there are several reading groups around where they just talk about a book and encourage people to read. We have a really good library. The staff is always encouraging us to do different things. I never hear any complaints around here. The staff is here every day, smiling, getting things ready to go for the day, and they take us places. Everything about it is good. Everything around here is clean. It's spacious and I couldn't ask for anything better. It's reasonable. I don't have any complaints on that.

My parents are residents of StoryPoint Germantown. They're in a two-bedroom, two-bath in assisted living. We were previously at another place and we have moved them there. From the executive director to the sales and marketing people to the doctors and the staff that they have there, it's been a great move for my parents. They have gotten much healthier as a result of living there. They do PT and OT and then there's an activity for everybody in the main room. The activities director personally goes to everyone's room and knocks on their door two hours ahead of time to recruit people, to not isolate in their rooms and to come to them. They have a one-bedroom, one-bath as well, but my parents needed more of an apartment. The whole staff does a great job. We really appreciate it. It's a gorgeous place.

My wife has been in StoryPoint Germantown for five months now. Everybody is so nice, just cheerful, smiling and very helpful. We've had a very good experience. When she came here, we were trying to get her in good enough shape physically to go home. They were excellent and they've done that job where we feel that she's in good enough shape to take home now. If she ever has to go someplace else or maybe me and her both in the future, we will come back here because we like it that much. They do everything that you do in assisted living. They help her get dressed, shower, and stuff like that. She did need to get stronger, where she could transfer out of a chair to a wheelchair and go to the bathroom on her own and she's accomplished all of that with the help of the people here. She has an apartment. It's beautiful, clean and modern. It's really wonderful. It's a ten. They have a guy here named Tony. He's in charge of activities and stuff, and he's been doing this a long time. He is the diamond here. I would go anywhere he went. He is just wonderful with people. He has always things to do. He's always cheerful and smiling. He is one of a kind. I would give him a 10. They have plenty of rooms where you can go work puzzles and read. They have a shuffleboard and pool tables. They have a nice courtyard. They have balconies that you can sit on. It's just a pleasant experience. The staff is wonderful. It's like every place else. You've got some outstanding people and then you've got some people that it's just a job, but most of them are smiling, helpful, and wonderful.

My mother is in StoryPoint Germantown. It is impeccably clean. The staff is very approachable and very helpful. It seems like they genuinely care. We've been very, very happy with it. The food would probably be the lowest rating. It doesn't feel like things are prepared well or presented in a nice way. There's not a varied menu. Overall, I'm not very happy with the quality of what's given. It's not very tasty and not very appealing visually. Maintenance is excellent. They are very, very attentive to the facility and and keeping it well maintained. The public areas are also very well maintained and very clean. The individual rooms or apartments could probably use a little more attention to detail. The activities vary. They have some regular ones like exercise, devotional, bingo, parties, and other games. They take them on outings. They try to keep them very well engaged. I think we're getting good value for our money.

My mother is in StoryPoint Germantown. They're very attentive to her, they know her personally, and they know us, the family, by name and face. They are meeting all the needs that she has. They are kind. They anticipate her needs and if there's a problem, it's addressed immediately. Mom is very pleased with the meals. There are many choices and they're always willing to feed the family as well, just at a moment's notice if she wants us to stay. It's beautiful, well-kept, clean, spacious, and easy to maneuver in her wheelchair. She has many different activities to choose from and she enjoys engaging with other residents as well as the staff. For the level of care, having her own space, her own apartment with her own furniture that makes it feel like home, I would say value for money is a five. I could not pay someone to come into the home and give the same care and attention.

I'm very pleased with StoryPoint Germantown. It's excellent. The staff is extremely friendly and they call us all by name. They know every one of us. The food is good, but it can be improved. Upkeep and housekeeping are very good. They have plenty of activities. They have devotions, movies, bingo, puzzles out all the time, and they have a van that takes us around for picnics, movies, whatever we want. It is expensive, but it is good value for the money.

My mom moved in. It's a lovely facility, and I think all the people who work there do a good job. They care about the residents, and my mom is getting good care. One of the main reasons I chose this place is because it's a bedroom and bath, but it's a nice size, so it has more of an apartment feel. In some of the other places, it's like you're just putting your parent in a dorm room. So, this is nice. And there's like hardwood floors. She's got wood blinds, and tall ceilings that help to make it feel bigger. And then her bathroom was a pretty large size, too. There's a closet in there for her clothes, and it's all updated. It looks fresh. I haven't seen a ton because we've been there such a short time, but they are taking her out into the assisted living, kind of doing a hybrid because she's kind of more social than other people in memory care. So that's a nice part where she can socialize with other people that are more like her at the first-name level. There's a nice seating area for them. The dining area is very open, and the windows open to a beautiful courtyard that they can go out into. It feels very light, airy and spacious.
