"Overall, I had a positive tour experience at Town Village Audubon Park. There seemed to be a lot of activities. I liked the park aspect of it. It had a lot of common areas, so it seemed nice. Shane was really helpful. He took time to answer all my questions and gave me an overview of everything, and followed up. The apartments were nice, but that community has been there a while. I think it could use a little bit of updating (I think they were already in the process of upgrading.) The unit that I saw was not run down, but the previous resident had just moved out and said they were going to repaint it. It had wood cabinets also, but he said they would be painted white to kind of update the experience. The dining area seemed nice. Shane walked me by that, and it was open and airy, and there were people there. There were also people out and moving around. On the day I visited, they were going on some kind of outing. There were people of all senior levels, and that was kind of nice."

"The apartments are well designed, spacious, well decorated, and very comfortable. The staff goes out of their way to encourage my Mom and help her as needed."

"Mom and dad moved to Robinwood. It’s a lovely facility, it’s only two years old, and it’s like being in a cruise ship or five star hotel. The food is all provided, they clean the place once a week, and it’s very nice. My parents have a two bedroom, two bath apartment and a full kitchen with refrigerator and oven. They have one bedroom and two-bedroom apartments and little cottages. They’ve got a grocery store, a bank, and a 50-feet movie theater. They have a hot tub, a pool table, and a bar. Everybody was nice and friendly. It’s very well managed. It’s a little pricey, but it’s worth it. All expenses are included. "

"My tour of Avenida Watermarq at Germantown was wonderful. I looked at all the apartments that they had available, and they were all very lovely. They have quite a few amenities there. They have an art class, a pool, and a workout room, which is great. They had an activity that particular day that I was there. It was like music dancing. They had some food and wine, and they called it Wine Down Wednesdays. They had a theme which was Jungle Boogie. They had a lot of active seniors out there dancing. They were having a blast, and it was lively. They looked happy. So that pretty well made my mind up right there. If those 80-plus-year-old people were that active and were moving with the grace of somebody in their 40s, that means that they are following a very good program to keep them healthy and fit like that. The staff members are very nice. I like Linda the most. She's the sales consultant, and she's very personable and very reachable. She and I hit off very well because we had a lot in common. She's very perky, and I immediately loved her. I'll be getting a two-bedroom apartment. They have two-bedrooms and one-bedrooms. They have probably about five plans per bedroom unit, so they have a wide variety of floor plans. I was impressed. And there was another little girl. Her name is Victoria and she's actually in charge of the activities. She is the perkiest little thing. She is very lively, and she keeps those seniors lively. "

"Kirby Pines is a five-star place. They treated us like royalty. We did have a meal there, and the food was absolutely fantastic. The place was spotlessly clean and was a very nice facility. Their apartments were beautiful and had more than enough room. "

"Embassy Apartments was really nice. It was a gated senior's apartment, so it was pretty secure since they also watch out for each other. The lady who showed me around was polite. She showed me both their one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. The one-bedroom was small and did not have enough closet space. They had a laundry room, TV room, and receiving room. I saw the dining area where they could have functions and the pool."

"Wesley Highland Place is a delightful facility at the heart of the University block of Memphis. The facility feels a bit squeezed into place as its building goes upward instead of outward, but despite the cramped exterior, the interior is cozy and inviting (well, minus one thing I will mention in a moment). The foyer area is filled with happy and welcoming residents. The decor is warm and intentional. Care is taken to maintain the facility's clean aspect.My friends and I spent day with a resident touring the complex. We began in a congregation area (you know, for bingo, dancing and singing). The room had a large plasma television, a high quality sound system and comfortable chairs in which residents can lounge. Our host's apartment was comfortable with a beautiful view of west-looking Memphis.As I said, there is one element of the place's design that should be revisited. The interior design of the place feels a little dated. I think the walls and floors still belong to pre-non-smoking regulation and that is felt.Beyond that, the employees were apt and glad. It was Christmas. "
