Kirby Pines is a unique place to live! The community is on 60 acres of pristine grounds, complete with a lake, greenhouse with garden plots, a walking trail through woods, gazebo for events, with a welcoming entrance lobby which has been recently redecorated. The activities are too numerous to list, but include musical programs, Mahjongg, bridge and other games, water aerobics, all kinds of painting and crafts, pool, ballroom dancing classes, vespers and religious services. All levels of medical care are available, from independent resident apartments or garden homes, to assisted living, to memory care, and beyond. Dedicated and caring staff throughout. There’s a movie theatre, a fully staffed woodworking shop, Performing Arts Center that holds several hundred people, pool room, crafts room, public puzzle table, concession shop, exercise classes, choir. Daily food selections are outstanding and include elaborate holiday celebrations coordinated by our chef and kitchen. BUT, the people who live here create the heart! An amazingly warm and caring community! More can be said, but if you don’t have a family, you’ll definitely be part of one here. Come check us out – you’ll be glad you did. (Residents of 6+ years)

They should know that Kirby Pines has a hard time honoring their contractual obligations. My father paid a $131,000 Entrance Fee and has not taken up residence since this fee was paid. He terminated the contract according to his agreement and they have not returned his Entrance Fee. I have called and emailed repeatedly to no satisfaction. All he wants is for Kirby Pines to honor what was signed. This Entrance Fee was due on 11/27/23.

We visited Kirby Pines Estates and we were very impressed with it. The facility is excellent all the way. The rooms had all the amenities. It starts with independent living, and then as the person gets older and they need assisted living, they have it there, and if they'd need memory care, that's covered there also. Yesterday, they had a barbecue and it was wonderful, it was very good. They have things to do there, like bingo. They have walking trails, they have a lake where patrons can sit around and enjoy themselves. It's a nice, quiet, tranquil place to be.

My visit to Kirby Pines was good. I like the convenience of it. The staff knew their job description and were very friendly. I thought that the area around it was not so good; it's kind of in a bad location. They were very clean. They have a gym, a salon, a theater, and outings. They would also take you to Walgreens or Walmart.

Kirby Pines Estates is very nice. They're a bit more upscale so their operating cost is a bit higher. They're able to provide more amenities, plus they had both independent and assisted living. I was impressed with the whole setup of the community. The staff was wonderful, I didn't stay for dinner but they had an open-house and they served hors d'oeuvres. It was really awesome, it was very good and I was very impressed. Their apartments were really nice, and they were also getting ready to do even more improvements. If I had my choice of the places I have visited, this place would be my number 1 choice. They have all kinds of activities, they have bowling, swimming, travel groups, and so on.

We chose Kirby Pines Estates for my mother, and she will be in independent living. Her apartment is being renovated, they were updating all of the apartments, and we will wait so she can get everything brand new. The visit has been fantastic. We dined there, and the food was excellent. They have rehab, religious services, a library, exercise classes, wellness care, a 24/7 clinic, and trips to the grocery store, banks, and shopping. It's a full package.

Kirby Pines Estates is beautiful. The people are very friendly, and it is very clean. They have lots of activities for their residents. They have a swimming pool, a Jacuzzi, water aerobics, tai-chi, movie theater, performance theater with stage, live music, arts classes, wood classes, and a library. They have good food too. They provide one meal a day, and you can choose which meal you want to have there. The food is very good. This place is excellent. Most of their patrons are buying into the plan, but they also do some renting.

I would love to live at Kirby Pines, but I can't afford it. It's like a city with massive grounds. It had every kind of amenity you could think of. It's a large place with a lot of freedom. It goes from independent all the way to an Alzheimer's unit and skilled nursing. I saw the library, computer room, beauty shop, snack bar, dining room, and theater room. They have Cadillac and bus transportation for their doctor appointments and shopping trips. They've got it all. They have massive lobby areas and places to do puzzles and games. However, it's a buy-in. They have apartments all the way to independent housing. The grounds are wonderful. It's like paradise.

Kirby Pines seemed fine and clean. It’s a smaller community, and their rooms seemed comparable to others. The staff seemed fine.

Kirby Pines is a five-star place. They treated us like royalty. We did have a meal there, and the food was absolutely fantastic. The place was spotlessly clean and was a very nice facility. Their apartments were beautiful and had more than enough room.

My mother is living in Kirby Pines Manor. Honestly, I have mixed feelings for the staff. The regular staff are all very good. However, some of the staff from the agency are good, and the others are rude. The place is nice and good though. I noticed that the facility is divided into two; one is an assisted living, and the other was nursing home. The food is delicious too. Plus, they have a lovely dining area. They also have a variety of activities like singing, dancing, and bingo. The place looks very secured. We are very satisfied indeed.

The environment at Kirby Pines was very nice, and it has a golf course, but it was a little more expensive. The person that toured us around was very professional.

Kirby Pines Estate was a whole community together, and it was independent and assisted. They had a ballroom, which was really nice. They had a workout facility and they had a theater. It was all types of activities that they had. They were having a concert that night, and my grandma was very interested in that. It was like a country club and my grandma really liked it, but it was out of her price range. The staff was great. They were excellent. They took the time and they showed us all that they could without an appointment, so it was great. They had doctors and all the nurses on the facility at all times. I liked just how elegant it was. It was off not a busy street; it was a gated community. It was almost hidden. The grounds were clean. Everything is around there. They have a grocery store right by there, little convenience stores, and they have all types of food places to eat. It's a great location.

I have been to Kirby Pines. The facility is so much larger. It has been over there for 20 years. My friend's dad was there. He got sick, and they have a little hospital there that they can do so much with. It's exceptionally nice because it's a little more expensive than some of the others. They have individual homes there, and they have different units. I think it's 2 stories on some of them where you have a living room, a kitchen, and your bedroom. Depending on what you need, there are individuals that live there in little cottages on their own. There are those that live in the 2 level that has to have some type of help or assistance. Their lobby and their dining room are quite lovely. They have a bus that takes them different places, and they all have groups that come in to entertain them. They have birthday parties. They have all kinds of gatherings there on the grounds.

This location though it does provide some very nice amenities has a few major flaws. First is the constant firing and hiring of chefs. I know it is very difficult to make a large group of people happy with food choices but the constant firing of chefs is causing a unacceptable swing in type, style, and flavor of food. Secondly the lack of maintainence assistance. It is provided but takes far to long to respond to problems and do not solve them completely. The third main problem I can see is the lack of physical activities for the community. There are some items like water exercises but I feel as though there should be much more physical theorapies available to help improve the connections in the community and help with physical health.

The facility is clean and welcoming. My grandma is happy to live there. Her day is planned, but she has enough free time to do things that she wants to do. The food is surprisingly good! They have an excellent rehab center, and a skilled clinical staff. Everyone I met when I visited there was incredible and friendly. I know my grandma is in good hands at Kirby Pines. Memphis is a dangerous place, and the area around Kirby Pines is not the best, but inside the fence it feels safe and secure. I am happy my grandma found a place that she can live her life without fear and hatred. The staff is respectful to their clients, and it seems that the employees genuinely enjoy working there. It makes me so proud of our society and humanity in general to see them treat my grandmother with such loving care. I would recommend Kirby Pines to anyone searching for a new home in assisted living.

Fireside Villa's staff was amazing and extremely helpful in answering all of my questions and concerns. The facility is amazing and well maintained. The grounds are well groomed and beautiful. The residents are well cared for and are happy, bright and alert and most of all clean. There are many amenities here and your loved one can count on these services if they come to Fireside. All are included in the monthly fee. 24-hour care, Privacy and independence, Assistance with activities of daily living, Medication management, Social interaction and organized activities. Activities usually include fitness and wellness programs, educational, cultural, and social events. Daily meals, typically served in a cafeteria three times a day, Snacks throughout the day. Room cleaning and laundry services, Nursing services, Transportation to shopping, restaurants, and appointments. The cuisine is amazing and well planned menus will keep your loved one healthy and alert. The rooms are large and well decorated and of course the staff welcomes your loved one to bring their own touches of home to make it feel like their home. The staff will make sure you loved one feels safe and secure.
