"I toured The Summit of Germantown. The community was nice. They had a nice little courtyard and an area for the dogs to play. It looked safe. They had a fence around it with an automatic gate. However, I was a little upset. The sales agent or whoever she was that does the bookings had double-booked herself, and I sat and waited for her for two hours. I felt I got pushed off onto somebody else who didn't know what she was doing. The rooms were nice. They had a very large kitchen, which is larger than the kitchen I have now at home, which is good. The bedrooms were fine. The bathroom was large, but the living rooms were a little on the small side. However, it looked like it was well-maintained."

"My friend will be moving into Royal Retreat. I like the fact that the staff is very hands-on. They were very good at explaining everything and showed us where everything was located. It's clean. It's a friendly and safe environment. It's all on one level, too. The staff seemed very involved. It's not like they were just housing them, but they were involved with their daily lives. If they don't see him, like if he stays in his apartment all day, they'll knock on the door just to check on him. I liked that. The dining is sort of in the center of the community. It's very clean. It's got small tables, so you have someone to eat lunch or dinner with. You wouldn't be sitting by yourself. It makes it more of a community. It's decorated very beautifully, too. It didn't look like a senior home. It looks like somebody's living room. I told my friend, "For the price, I don't think you're going to get anything nicer than this." They offered a meal plan which he bought into, and I thought it was reasonably priced. It's $500 a month, and that's three meals a day. Even though each unit has its own small kitchen, he doesn't cook for himself. I just was impressed with it from the beginning."

"I visited Germantown Plantation's assisted living last week. It was a big place. They had a movie theater, a chapel, a swimming pool, and a hot tub. They also had a physical-therapy room and a hair salon. The staff was very polite and knowledgeable, and they answered all of my questions. I also saw their interactions with the residents, and the residents really enjoyed it. In fact, when I was there, one of the gentlemen there didn't feel well, and the nurse was there very quickly. It's very roomy. Their area was quiet and their rooms were bigger. There's so much interaction between the residents and the staff, which I like to see. The place sits back away from the road and it was very quiet. Even when I was inside, I couldn't hear anything from the outside."

"I toured. I like the room, and the atmosphere seems to be OK. They told me they got a private dining room if you want to have friends, and they do the laundry if you want them to. They have three meals a day, and they have a nurse on duty 24 hours a day. They clean the room once a week. They take you to the doctors if you need to go, and they take you shopping sometimes; it's OK. I've known about this place for a long time, since they built it, and I know people that have lived there. They were happy with it."

"Heritage at Irene Woods had a lot of amenities. It was like a gold standard. It feels like you're at a nice hotel and then the people that I've met were very helpful and very knowledgeable. Jill was one of them and she was very nice. When I walked in, there was a welcome sign for me. So, that kind of caught my attention and stood out to me right away. It's a nice place. If you're coming to visit a resident, you can go into their little bistro area and order pretty much anything you want. They also have a movie theater, a game room, and an art room. On the day I visited, they were having a paint and sip activity where people were going to be painting and some would be drinking iced tea or wine. I saw a barbershop and beauty shop, too, someone was working in a gym, and there's this certain quiet room that you can meditate in that had nice lighting, fragrances, and different seats that looked to be comfortable. There was a lot to do there."

"I toured The Goldton at Southaven. It was very clean in the lobby area as you went in. It was a pleasant place. The staff during the tour was very knowledgeable and very friendly. The dining area looked fine to me. They have libraries and they have a physical therapy room that is open at any time. They've got crafts. It was overpriced for what they had to offer."

"We were pleased with Ave Maria and actually that’s where we want to put her, but the problem was they had a very long waiting list. That was our first choice. We visited there a couple of times; in fact my neighbor was there and we visited her to seehow the situation was. The people were very caring and concerned for everybody. We walked through, and we saw the cafeteria and recreation areas. "

"My sister-in-law is staying in assisted living at Culpepper Place. It's lovely and brand-new. It's only about half full now since it has only recently opened. Everybody we met seemed content and happy. They have bingo, small-group games, and bigger-group games for people engage in, and they have prizes. The rooms are beautiful. I looked at what was on the snack bar, and there were mostly fruits, some crackers, and juices. The dining area is lovely. "

"The staff at Elite Personal care-home are truly amazing. They pay great attention to detail and provide services that your family will need. My dad loves bingo and the staff would sit and they all enjoyed it. Elite Personal Care-home is a great place for your love one to age in place at. They offer assistant living and independent living. All you need to do is bring your clothes and a smile and they take care of the rest! I used them for respite but i am loving forward to long term placement for my dad with them! The rooms in the house are cozy, great in size and has all accommodations for my dad. "

"This facility is located on the outskirts of Memphis, Tennessee and near many populous suburbs. They treat patients who suffer from debilitating physical and mental conditions and those associated with advanced age. The staff is very professional, friendly and hard working. The pricing for my grandmother's care has recently gone up, but they provide her with quality care and she seems to be very happy there, overall. They are a full service facility that provides housing, meals, physical and occupational therapy, entertainment, and all necessary medical care and assistance. The facilities are, for the most part, clean, well-lit and modern. The staff members that I know personally are compassionate people who do their best to ensure the comfort and well being of the residents there. There are programs that allow residents to participate in outside activities and visit local attractions. I certainly appreciate their effort to keep the residents engaged with the outside world and with each other while maintaining a comfortable and family-like environment. "

"Given Hands is awesome. My dad is just a little bit too much to handle, but the lady who takes care of him, who is a nurse, is very good. She explained everything well. She tells you exactly what she does, when they eat, and she keeps him on a schedule. She has her rules that they're supposed to follow. She is awesome. I like her. Dad's been eating stuff that he has never eaten before. The place is clean. She has a small exercise room for any residents who need to exercise. She cooks out for them outside if they want to have it. I like the place. No bad smells. They are one of the best places I've seen in a while. She works with people with their financial situations, too. I know that much because she has worked with us. My dad doesn't have that much money coming in every month like some of her other residents."
