"It is a very nice facility. They have a wine bar, a pool, a spa, and exercise rooms in the independent living part. They have a lot of amenities there. We're just concerned that for my mom, she'd probably would not be making it in independent living for very long. She really needs to go to the assisted care section. Medication management is the main thing that we're requiring. "

"My wife's cousin is now at The Summit of Germantown. She has been there for a week now. It's excellent. It couldn't be better. I like the beautiful wide hallways. It's easygoing and secure. Excellent staff. My wife's cousin's room is adequate and essentially brand new. It's a bedroom, a kitchen, and a little living room. It's very nice. The dining area is very nice, too. My wife's cousin is happy with the food. The places we visited were very impressive. But it came down to a financial decision, and that's why we chose The Summit of Germantown. They're accommodating."

"My friend is at Germantown Plantation Senior Living Community. It's good and very nice. She has a one-bedroom apartment. It's very spacious, it has a patio, and she's happy with it. She can come and go as she wants. They have a lot of activities. People even come in and entertain. They have group things even at night where they will have a special. They have movies almost every night. They have a movie theater, which is comfortable. They have an indoor swimming pool, too. And they have good dining rooms. The food is very good. She loves it out there. She is getting to meet people a lot better than she did before. The place is very clean. There may be a small price for laundry, but housekeeping is included in the rent. And they give out her medication for a small extra fee, which is fine with me. The staff is very good. If my friend has an accident or anything, they come right away. I brought her home the other day and she didn't feel good. I got hold of a nurse, she came quickly and she took care of her. It is very, very good. They have their own doctor on staff. If she has any problems, that doctor would take care of it. If she needs blood work or if she needs an x-ray or something, they can do it there instead of going out someplace."

"My godmother is in Royal Retreat. The place is always nice and clean. The room is accommodating for her. It has no smell like some places do. The people are very friendly and helpful. It's very good. The cost is much more reasonable than some places I've visited. I did eat there one time a while back and the food was OK. I saw a library, and I think they have a salon for the ladies to get their hair fixed and stuff."

"I toured. I like the room, and the atmosphere seems to be OK. They told me they got a private dining room if you want to have friends, and they do the laundry if you want them to. They have three meals a day, and they have a nurse on duty 24 hours a day. They clean the room once a week. They take you to the doctors if you need to go, and they take you shopping sometimes; it's OK. I've known about this place for a long time, since they built it, and I know people that have lived there. They were happy with it."

"I went to Heritage at Irene Woods. Jill was our tour director, she was very friendly, she introduced me to both staff and residents by name, she said they check on the residents every day. She obviously knew her residents, I met the chef, and I did eat there; the food was very good. They had a bistro as well as a dining room. To me, it can meet every need the residents can possibly have, if they wanna eat light, if they wanna take their food to the room, if they wanna eat in the dining room and socialize. They had gardens, all of the inside rooms all face the gardens. The rooms were carpeted, a full kitchen, very clean. She took me to see three rooms. I was very, very pleased, the furnishings were lovely, the tour was complete, she showed me the exercise room, beauty parlor, and the craft room. They also have a bus that will take the residents to Walgreens, Kroger, and Walmart, to doctors if they make an appointment ahead of time. They have a doctor on staff that's there once a week, but they have nurses on staff all the time. The facilities are beautiful, it looks like a hotel. Any resident that's gonna be living there is not feeling like they're dumped off in an old folk's home. I was extremely pleased."

"My in-laws are in here. It is excellent, really nice, and clean. I actually got a nice apartment for them. I liked the layout, and it’s very wheelchair accessible. They’ve got nice activities for them like Bingo, and they turn on the TV and get to watch shows. They have little exercise times, they have trips to go over to Walmart, and they can get their hair done there. I don’t have any problems with the staff, and they all seem pretty attentive to the residents. They have 24/7 nurses working there. They’re getting healthy meals. "

"It was a beautiful place. The staff was friendly and nice. We visited the memory care and the lady that gave the tour was very nice and very helpful. She gave a complete tour of the place with no problems. They offer single private rooms, which was kind of what we were looking for. The dining area was first-class. It was like eating in a restaurant. It had plenty of room and you can either sit by yourself or with a group. When we walked in, they were going to an activity session with the people in memory care. It was very enlightening to see people taking part in this activity. There was a slideshow where one of them was doing cards and stuff like that and she was just telling them what she was showing to them and asked questions. It was nice because it kind of stimulate their minds."

"This facility is located on the outskirts of Memphis, Tennessee and near many populous suburbs. They treat patients who suffer from debilitating physical and mental conditions and those associated with advanced age. The staff is very professional, friendly and hard working. The pricing for my grandmother's care has recently gone up, but they provide her with quality care and she seems to be very happy there, overall. They are a full service facility that provides housing, meals, physical and occupational therapy, entertainment, and all necessary medical care and assistance. The facilities are, for the most part, clean, well-lit and modern. The staff members that I know personally are compassionate people who do their best to ensure the comfort and well being of the residents there. There are programs that allow residents to participate in outside activities and visit local attractions. I certainly appreciate their effort to keep the residents engaged with the outside world and with each other while maintaining a comfortable and family-like environment. "

"I really like the friendliness of everybody at The Village. The rooms are roomy and comfortable. The food and dining set up were excellent. It was extremely clean too. There is a resident choir -- they practices once a week -- a swimming pool, a library, programs, and birthday celebrations. "

"Given Hands is awesome. My dad is just a little bit too much to handle, but the lady who takes care of him, who is a nurse, is very good. She explained everything well. She tells you exactly what she does, when they eat, and she keeps him on a schedule. She has her rules that they're supposed to follow. She is awesome. I like her. Dad's been eating stuff that he has never eaten before. The place is clean. She has a small exercise room for any residents who need to exercise. She cooks out for them outside if they want to have it. I like the place. No bad smells. They are one of the best places I've seen in a while. She works with people with their financial situations, too. I know that much because she has worked with us. My dad doesn't have that much money coming in every month like some of her other residents."

"Ave Maria Assisted Living is very nice. The staff was attentive and caring. The grounds look very nice, it's a clean, and a good place. My mother had a room there; it was just a bedroom with no shower and no bath, but it's big enough for her. Some of their activities include crafts, trivia, games, and they have groups that come and sing to them."

"Culpepper Place of Bartlett was nice. The rooms were a little bit small, but the programs looked good. They had a medical person there all the time. Everything was very nice, and they offered lots of things for their residents to do."
