"I toured Foxbridge. I was hoping I could take my husband there. I have a friend who had her mother-in-law there and they loved it. However, they are in assisted living, and my husband needs skilled care. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and encouraging. When she realized she couldn't help me, she gave me a good list of other facilities that would work. The outdoor campus is beautiful. I saw the outdoor buildings, and the lawns were well-maintained. The office area was very inviting, and it was wonderfully kept."

"I had my sister-in-law at Belmont Village Memphis. I really liked it. She was there about six months ago. They had a very low staff turnover, so the staff has been there and working together for a very long time and that says a lot about a place. I've seen the food, and it looked good, but I have not tried it. My husband has and he says it's good, and my sister-in-law liked it a lot. It's very clean. It's an older building, but it was kept up very well. Value for money was pretty good. They really go the extra mile to do everything. My sister-in-law can't even move from the bed to her chair by herself, so they were really good at making sure that they were covering all the bases. I would say it's a reasonable price."

"I toured Brookdale Germantown. There was nothing that I did not like. The staff was friendly. The residents were welcoming. It was a very welcoming community. They're very helpful, courteous, and professional. The food was good. Nothing was outstanding that would make me not want to live there. It was clean and well-furnished."

"My wife has been in StoryPoint Germantown for five months now. Everybody is so nice, just cheerful, smiling and very helpful. We've had a very good experience. When she came here, we were trying to get her in good enough shape physically to go home. They were excellent and they've done that job where we feel that she's in good enough shape to take home now. If she ever has to go someplace else or maybe me and her both in the future, we will come back here because we like it that much. They do everything that you do in assisted living. They help her get dressed, shower, and stuff like that. She did need to get stronger, where she could transfer out of a chair to a wheelchair and go to the bathroom on her own and she's accomplished all of that with the help of the people here. She has an apartment. It's beautiful, clean and modern. It's really wonderful. It's a ten. They have a guy here named Tony. He's in charge of activities and stuff, and he's been doing this a long time. He is the diamond here. I would go anywhere he went. He is just wonderful with people. He has always things to do. He's always cheerful and smiling. He is one of a kind. I would give him a 10. They have plenty of rooms where you can go work puzzles and read. They have a shuffleboard and pool tables. They have a nice courtyard. They have balconies that you can sit on. It's just a pleasant experience. The staff is wonderful. It's like every place else. You've got some outstanding people and then you've got some people that it's just a job, but most of them are smiling, helpful, and wonderful."

"American House Bartlett was a nice place. It was an excellent place, so I would recommend it for people who get into that situation that can't come and can't afford to go. So, I would recommend it. The person in charge of bringing people in was outstanding in terms of providing information. They were very patient in giving me a tour, and I really liked the room. The unit that I went to was excellent. They are located in nearby restaurants, hospitals, the interstate, and a major mall."

"I toured Brookdale Dogwood Creek. I liked it very much. There wasn't anything I liked least. The reason we chose the other facility was because they would accept him there. He needed both physical therapy and cognitive assistance. He needs some mental care, and he also has some deep tissue wounds that kept him out of some of the licensed places. He was not eligible to go to any places. The staff was nice and lovely. The food was delicious. The facility was very clean. The room sizes were lovely. It's a very cheerful place."

"My wife's cousin is now at The Summit of Germantown. She has been there for a week now. It's excellent. It couldn't be better. I like the beautiful wide hallways. It's easygoing and secure. Excellent staff. My wife's cousin's room is adequate and essentially brand new. It's a bedroom, a kitchen, and a little living room. It's very nice. The dining area is very nice, too. My wife's cousin is happy with the food. The places we visited were very impressive. But it came down to a financial decision, and that's why we chose The Summit of Germantown. They're accommodating."

"My friend is at Germantown Plantation Senior Living Community. It's good and very nice. She has a one-bedroom apartment. It's very spacious, it has a patio, and she's happy with it. She can come and go as she wants. They have a lot of activities. People even come in and entertain. They have group things even at night where they will have a special. They have movies almost every night. They have a movie theater, which is comfortable. They have an indoor swimming pool, too. And they have good dining rooms. The food is very good. She loves it out there. She is getting to meet people a lot better than she did before. The place is very clean. There may be a small price for laundry, but housekeeping is included in the rent. And they give out her medication for a small extra fee, which is fine with me. The staff is very good. If my friend has an accident or anything, they come right away. I brought her home the other day and she didn't feel good. I got hold of a nurse, she came quickly and she took care of her. It is very, very good. They have their own doctor on staff. If she has any problems, that doctor would take care of it. If she needs blood work or if she needs an x-ray or something, they can do it there instead of going out someplace."

"My godmother is in Royal Retreat. The place is always nice and clean. The room is accommodating for her. It has no smell like some places do. The people are very friendly and helpful. It's very good. The cost is much more reasonable than some places I've visited. I did eat there one time a while back and the food was OK. I saw a library, and I think they have a salon for the ladies to get their hair fixed and stuff."

"I toured. I like the room, and the atmosphere seems to be OK. They told me they got a private dining room if you want to have friends, and they do the laundry if you want them to. They have three meals a day, and they have a nurse on duty 24 hours a day. They clean the room once a week. They take you to the doctors if you need to go, and they take you shopping sometimes; it's OK. I've known about this place for a long time, since they built it, and I know people that have lived there. They were happy with it."

"I toured Heritage at Irene Woods. There wasn't anything that I didn't like about it. I just met one person on staff, but I noticed that, like others, as we were touring, the staff would call the residents by name and say, "How are you doing today, and do you need anything?". They were very attentive. It's a newer construction, and it's welcoming."

"My mom and dad are currently transitioning at StoryPoint Collierville. They're in independent and they have started to add care packages and they're starting the discussion to go into some more enhanced. What I like best is I find the staff very helpful and they've been very good about helping us transition as we have different needs pop up. My parents have been here for over two years and I've just always had great experiences. I really like that it's not just that they provide excellent services, they genuinely care about my parents, going the extra mile to make sure they're cared for. My mom just got out of the hospital and missed dinnertime and the head of the whole facility here saw me come in and said, "Hey, does she need dinner?" and personally brought it up to her. I just thought that was so loving. That's not the first time that those kinds of incidents have happened. I've eaten here several times, and I've always enjoyed the meals with my parents. Housekeeping is good. Everything is nice and clean. I've seen my parents put in work orders and the response is well. They celebrate birthdays and they have fun activities. They have movie times that they've gone to. My mom has gone to this one event that has challenging games like trivia and stuff like that. They've had special brunches for families. We were able to rent the facility out for my daughter's baby shower, so that was a really nice option that we could use the facility for that. I really feel like this is really good value for the money that you pay. It's not overly expensive."

I love the atmosphere there. It was very clean. Everything was beautiful. That place was something else. It's fantastic. I didn't see a courtyard, and they don't have much parking space, and that's a negative there."

"I had a hard time finding a nursing home that I liked for my Father - Signature Heathcare Dovecrest was his third nursing home. I wish it would of been the first place because this nursing home was amazing! They have people that work there that really care. They aren't there to just get a paycheck. When you go online to try to find a nursing home - people always write all the negative things about them. So - I thought I'd take some time to actually write about this place so it could help someone that was looking for a nice place. The nurses and social worker was wonderful. My Dad would tell me when I would go visit him that they treat him like a King. It made me feel good knowing that my Dad was happy and well taken care of. I can not say one negative thing about this place. "

"I live in Independent Living at The Village of Germantown and my husband is in assisted living; we both have lovely customized apartments and have a wonderful staff to look after us. Maintence is the best and is hopeful in all kinds of situations ...even personal needs such as hinging pictures, changing light bulbs or putting wheels on a new walker...they go beyond their job descriptions to help. I personally do not mind the large entry fee, it keeps people on Medicaid out; the entry fee is invested and the investments are used to help keep the property in tip-top shaped and provide extra services that other facilities do not offer, plus you or your heir gets 90% of your investment back, when you move out or die."

"Given Hands is awesome. My dad is just a little bit too much to handle, but the lady who takes care of him, who is a nurse, is very good. She explained everything well. She tells you exactly what she does, when they eat, and she keeps him on a schedule. She has her rules that they're supposed to follow. She is awesome. I like her. Dad's been eating stuff that he has never eaten before. The place is clean. She has a small exercise room for any residents who need to exercise. She cooks out for them outside if they want to have it. I like the place. No bad smells. They are one of the best places I've seen in a while. She works with people with their financial situations, too. I know that much because she has worked with us. My dad doesn't have that much money coming in every month like some of her other residents."

The staff was very friendly and professional. The food was delicious. The cleanliness and structure of the building is wonderful. Although it was an older structure, it was in very good condition. The atmosphere was cheerful. The sizes of the rooms were perfect, just the right size."
