The Best Assisted Living Communities in Carroll County, TN

"My mother has moved into Charter Senior Living of Paris. She's starting in the assisted living portion, but ultimately, at some point, she will have to move to memory care. What I liked best is it's a really good feeling for her to have her own little apartment. She still feels like she has some independence and has everybody there that can assist her with all of her needs. They are very good at getting people out of their rooms. A lot of older folks like to just hibernate and only go out for their meals, but the staff is super good about going and knocking on their doors and telling them, "What's going on, come on, get dressed, come out. We're going to do this. It's gonna be a lot of fun." They do a lot of encouraging to keep them active and that's probably one of my favorite things about it. I've eaten there twice now with her and I think lunch is my favorite. They do three meals a day. If they want a snack in between, they can go down and get a snack. They do breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Usually, their lunch is their biggest meal of the day because most of the folks there don't like to have a heavy dinner. It's always clean and they just actually redid the whole inside, painted and carpet and everything. That's the only one I chose to go to because first of all, they were willing to work with her monthly income wage. None of the other ones were."

"Harmony Hill offered the most assistance and seemed to have the most activities planned on a daily basis. It had a family environment. The lady was extremely helpful and very friendly. She knew all the residents by name. There were three meals a day, and they could request a snack anytime. Everything was extremely clean and well cared for. We were impressed. I was very happy with the tour. The ratio of the residents to staff seemed good. I had no complaints. "

"Lakeside Senior Living Community is right above the lake. It was clean and nice. Everybody was super nice and they went over the activities that they do a month, and where they take them on a bus and do things with them. The activities change day by day. One person takes them to a room and they do different things. We talked to all the patients who were in the activity room that day, and they've been there for over a year or two, and they're happy about living there. The staff was good. They were upfront about everything and answered all your questions. They were really good. The rooms were a good size. It was kept up very well. We spoke to several patients who live there, and they were very content and happy. Some of them had their homes still, where their children would come by and pick them up and take them out to their home so they could spend all day at their house. They showed us a laundry room, they had a beautician there, and then the movie theater where they made popcorn and all that."

"I visited Eiffel Gardens for my husband. That's the only one I've eaten at, and their food was delicious. I was impressed with it. They also have a daycare program. I was also impressed with the administrator, but she was gone now; they have a new one. However, the previous administrator was very, very helpful, and she followed up by calling me afterwards. She was very encouraging. The facility was nice too. "

"My mother was at Dogwood Pointe, and it had a little bit more homey and smaller feel to it. They were wonderful there. Our only concern with our mother's situation was the cost of it. They had a lot of activities. They had something going on. They had people came in to do painting, arts & crafts, and other stuff with them. They were constantly making something. They had bingo, singings, and religious service. The food started out to be really good, but then, towards the end, their main cook quit. They had trouble finding somebody and keeping then. Then, the food was not good. "

"This facility is absolutely AMAZING!! The staff is great! Especially Monica! She cares for ALL the residents so good!! When I called to get info she was very Knowledgeable about dementia and Alzheimer's and the things that take place in the facility. They also have activity there. Bingo and they go on trips and out to eat and coffee shops. Also since the coronavirus is a big thing at the moment, they wear asks and dont let anyone in the facility. We can visit but its separate from everyone with masks and a glass in between but atleast we get to see our loved ones. The food is great ! Also at the moment they dont go to public places due to the coronavirus but MY loved one is happy, safe and very well taken care of! They have housekeeping everyday as need but its weekly! My dad said Julie and Monica are great. They are his favorite s . (ha) mine too if you want to know. I strongly recommend this facility . The room are hugh but they have different ones. "
