I visited this facility

We toured Robinwood. It was clean. They offer a lot of amenities. The apartments that they showed us were a good size. They have lots of activities for the adults living there. The food was good. We went for lunch one day and the food was delicious. The staff that we met were very polite and very nice. My brother didn't care much for the food. They were serving stuff that he normally doesn't eat, but they have a really big salad bar and if he had wanted it, he could have had a pizza or a hamburger. They would cook to order on one line, but we just ate what was being served for lunch that day.

Robinwood is a wonderful place. I just can't afford to live there. I wish I could. They have all the entertainment that I would like to be involved in and they have delicious food. The people there seemed to be very nice and they're willing to help you if you need help. They have large and fantastic rooms. They're roomy and they have enough closet space. I will feel safe using their bathroom. Everything is just well put together. They have all the appliances that you need in there. It's just cozy. The staff was very nice. When I left, they called me back later on to see how I was doing and if I would still be able to move in, but I just couldn't do it. I had lunch there and I had a delicious salad. It was really good. I also had a chicken sandwich.

I toured Robinwood Retirement Resort, and that was very nice. The rooms are larger but a little outdated. They have great dining facilities and food is always available. They have an on-site gym. Kevin was super helpful and answered all my questions.

Robinwood was a nice and luxurious place. They had a movie theater, a hair salon, an art room, a dining room, and a library. They offered a lot of amenities, but it was very expensive and they did not have a gated area. I would have wanted a gated community so I could park my car in a safe area. They covered the price of your utilities, internet, cable, and all the meals.

I went to look at Robinwood. I really liked the layout that they had for the apartments that were detached from the regular home. They had a separate garage, which I really liked. They had all the amenities offered, like the cooking, the meals, and transportation if you needed it. So there were a lot of different things and amenities that I appreciated. The tour guide was excellent and thorough. She showed us the informational section, where if we needed something toward our insurance or whatever we could get for Medicare, she was willing to do that. She explained and showed us the convenience of people getting foods, sitting down at tables, or preparing foods according to their diet. They also had options to go and get food and take it to their room after meals, so that was good.

I went to Robinwood. They were very nice. I liked the cottages. They weren't new cottages, but I think they had painted them. They had one empty that I looked at. The staff who gave the tour was very nice. The receptionist staff was also nice. With regards to amenities, I saw their exercise room and their salon.

I've visited Robinwood for a tour. They had a lot of activities, the dining room area was nice and they had a lot of selections for the food. Everybody seemed very helpful and friendly, and we're going back to try their food. The facility was kept up nicely and everything was really clean. They had Bible studies and movie nights, and they plan outings. So it seemed like they had a lot going on.

We will be moving into Robinwood. We chose them because they're the nicest people and they had the nicest accommodations. It's just a perfect living condition for retired people who have spouses who might need some handicap accessibility. The facilities were excellent. It's laid out like a hotel resort. It is more of a resort kind of community than an apartment kind of community. The staff was excellent. Everybody's friendly and accommodating. Some apartments have courtyard patios, but they have outside gardens for people to sit around. Everything is onsite, cafeteria-style dining, exercise room, and beauty and barber salon. They have cable TV, internet service, and cleaning service. It's just an all-inclusive community.

My sister has moved into Robinwood. They have a lot of activities going on, and she likes to be busy, so I think that'll work out well. Her room has a big living room and kitchen combination, a nice-sized bedroom, and a master bath. There are two big closets. It's very nice. They have bingo, and she loves bingo. They do exercises, they have chair volleyball, and they have live music every Friday afternoon. They have a movie theater on location, that shows a movie twice a day at 3 and then again at 7. They have a bunch of card games like bridge and dominoes and all those things. Two or three things are going on every day. I was able to have a meal there, and the food was wonderful. Plus, they get a nice choice. They have a choice of two types of meats with vegetables. You go through it like a buffet type, and you could always get a cold sandwich, like a ham sandwich or turkey or something like that, or salad with any meal or instead of a meal. Everybody is so nice and aims to please. They're just very willing to help, so that's good.

We toured Robinwood. We went in the building and out of the building. We went and saw the cottages. We like everything about it. The apartments looked OK. They have different sizes. They have one- and two-bedrooms, and it's according to where they are in the building. It is a three-story building. The apartments look to be very nice, but average, like the furnishings and the refrigerators. The cabinets are all maple, which is so outdated, but that's fine. They can't keep up with the trends anyway, which is very nice. It's just somewhere you wouldn't mind living. The food is good. I love the dining area. It's big, spacious, and very nice. I really like the staff who gave us the tour. They have an art room, an exercise room, and a small country store that basically is very minimum, like what you might need there if you run out. They have a movie theater and an auditorium for church. There's another room for church, and I think it seats about 60 to 75 people there. I would refer to their cottages as duplexes. They're two bedrooms, one bath, a living room, a kitchen, and a two-car garage. Then, right next to it, connected with a wall between you, is the other side of another two-bedroom, and it's identical. I like those really well. If it's raining, storming, or you can't get up or you're sick, they will deliver the food to you. If you call them and let them know, they'll bring it to you. But for several days, they may or may not make it every day. That's a choice you make when you rent or lease a cottage.

We saw Robinwood yesterday. We liked it. We enjoyed the tour they gave us. It's very nice. Everyone was very cordial. We looked around, and the rooms were very nice. Everything was so clean. There were lots of activities. They have a movie theater. They offer three meals a day and that was nice. The shower was easy to access and get out of. It was very nice. It's an independent living, but with extra care. I spoke with several residents, and they said they loved it. The staff was very knowledgeable. She showed us everything she thought we were interested in. She showed us the model apartment and the ones that were available and everything about the dining hall. She's very nice. In general, when you walk in the front doors, Robinwood looks like you're walking more into a nice hotel. To me, they got everything really of independent living you would need. You have a button just in case you fall, you have that. Just in case you have a medical emergency, they have health care. They're right there on the spot, the healthcare part. It's in a nice suburb. There are restaurants, grocery stores, and pharmacies like Walgreen and CVS.

Robinwood seems to be a great facility. Everything was well maintained there. It was clean, bright, and cheerful. I looked at a one-bedroom apartment that had a balcony, and I liked that. The negative for me was they only allow pets on the first floor. The lady there made the comment, 'Well, do you have anybody you could give your pet to?' and that hit me wrong. As far as the facilities there, they were great. They were a little bit pricey for my budget. Their security looked really good, and the location is not bad. I still would have preferred a gated facility. However, they were a little bit pricey to me, and the fact that I could only have my dogs on the first floor. They had a little convenience store. They had a nice movie room, and they had a little fitness room. They don't have a pool, but they do have a sauna hot tub area. There is good security.

We had a wonderful tour experience of Robinwood Retirement Resort. The place looked wonderful. They had activities going on, the food was being set out, and so it would have been a perfect place. Ariana was very welcoming, very nice, and very helpful in explaining the choices that they had and amenities. They have a phenomenal menu with a broad range of very tasty meals available for 24 hours. When I was there, they were just setting up for an activity and quite a few people were getting ready for it. The dining room was very nice, clean, and spacious. There's also a movie theater where they had played various movies, a beautiful chapel, a pharmacy, a general store, and a credit union that could be visited by the residents.

I just like the people at Robinwood. They're very friendly, outgoing, and helpful. The apartments are very spacious. It was also spotless, very clean. It's nearby restaurants and grocery stores. They had a gym, a salon, and a small store where you can buy things.

We liked everything about Robinwood. The prices were reasonable, and the place was very clean and very nice. They had separate cottages as well as apartments. The apartments were very nice. The separate homes were duplexes, and they were very nice as well. The staff that we met was very accommodating. They had pretty much everything except the swimming pool. It's homey, and the dining area was more like a restaurant.

My grandmother moved into Robinwood last August. It's a very nice place and it's what she liked the best. They had a lot of things for the seniors to do; they had fun, and a lot of activities. They have art classes, people come in play music with them, they have dancing, and they go to casinos. She has a nice, 1-bedroom apartment. It seemed to be very clean and very well-kept. I have nothing but positive comments about the staff; they're very nice. It's very central, it's a good location; close to the grocery store, pharmacy, and you could walk to everything. It's a nice neighborhood.

The staff at Robinwood did a good job. He showed me around, showed me the layout, and explained everything to me. I can come back for lunch any time I want to come back. I saw lots of people living there who are dependent on walkers and wheelchairs. The rooms were very nice, a little small but okay. They showed me the cafeteria and meal plans that they have, and they looked adequate. The dining area didn't really look extravagant but the people looked happy.

We went to Robinwood. It was fine, but it was farther away than what we want it to be, and the cafeteria dining did not meet our needs. The rooms were very nice, they were large, with beautiful kitchens, but no balconies. They have a lot of activities going on. They have an exercise room, a library, an activities room, a social room, and a party room you can rent. The staff was very kind. It had a cruise-like feel to it.

Provider Response

Lynn, Thank you for your feedback. I wish we had had an apartment to meet your needs with a balcony. Those are very popular apartments. We feel that giving our residents a "cruise like" living environment is what each one of them deserve. If your current choice for your father does now work out, we hope you would reconsider Robinwood for his new home. Hopefully, we'd have one with a balcony for him!

Robinwood was wonderful. They had their own movie theater, hairdressers, doctors, and pharmacy on their campus. We looked at individual cottages, which had two bedrooms, two baths, living room, dining room, and kitchen, so it had all the conveniences of a small home, plus the two-car garage. It was like a home. They can go over to the main building for meals and have a once a week housekeeper. If they chose, they can cook in their own room.

We choose Robinwood primarily because of the location. It is centrally located to my three siblings and me. My dad is doing well there. He has a one-bedroom apartment that's very nice and very clean. Everything is brand new there. The staff is very courteous and goes out of their way to make him feel comfortable, provide him what he needs, and serve him while he is there. They are customer focused. The food is always prepared very well and very tasty. The portions are good. He is very satisfied with the food.

My dad was in Robinwood independent living facility. They did not have the assisted living built in. It was very new at about two or three years old. It was an absolutely beautiful, top-of-the-line place. They had a cafeteria that served three meals a day, a theater, exercise room, and activities. It was a very nice resort-style community. I would definitely highly recommend it. We had to move my dad because he was progressing to the point that he needed more care. Although this place was wonderful and had a third party that they hired to come in and do basic things like giving meals and showering or some ala carte things for my dad, it just got to the point where there were too many other things that we needed. If he did not need the care, he would still be there.

I visited Robinwood, and we loved it. My daughter, who is not eligible for it, said she's going to move here. The person that showed us around was very gracious and gave us a lot of information. She took us, and we saw several apartments, and invited us to go and have lunch, dinner, or brunch. It's new, so it has all the new stuff. It has air conditioning that is built in, not the old-fashioned window units that the other place has. They have very nice arrangements for taking your meals. They also have a nice, quiet library. We looked at the two-bedroom apartments, and each bedroom has its own bathroom and large walk-in closet. The kitchen was pretty good, quite ample, especially since you don't have to cook very much. They had a couple dining places with more formal arrangement or cafeteria-style arrangement. We met the chef, who was very busy but very gracious. They couldn't have been nicer. They even had a tripod with a blackboard standing on it next to the office when we entered and it said, "Welcome, Lillian."

Robinwood Retirement Resort is one of the later ones built here. I loved it; I just don’t like Bartlett. I loved the atmosphere and all the programs that they have. They don’t have continuing care, but you can get private care. They have an agency within the building if you need assistance. It was very nice and upscale, and the personnel that I met were very cordial. The one thing I found unusual about Robinwood was that you can eat at any time of the day. They have a special time for meals, but if you get hungry at night or in the middle of the day, you could go in. They have what they call a "chef" area, and they have chef’s salad and food like that, which was very nice. It was very well done aesthetically and not expensive. If they were in another part of Memphis, I wouldn’t think twice; I’d move in there. They have a sauna and all kinds of activities, a movie theater, and a lot of stuff you can do there.

Mom and dad moved to Robinwood. It’s a lovely facility, it’s only two years old, and it’s like being in a cruise ship or five star hotel. The food is all provided, they clean the place once a week, and it’s very nice. My parents have a two bedroom, two bath apartment and a full kitchen with refrigerator and oven. They have one bedroom and two-bedroom apartments and little cottages. They’ve got a grocery store, a bank, and a 50-feet movie theater. They have a hot tub, a pool table, and a bar. Everybody was nice and friendly. It’s very well managed. It’s a little pricey, but it’s worth it. All expenses are included.

Robinwood was very nice -- just the general atmosphere there-- but it was very expensive. Everybody seemed to be very really nice and friendly. Another thing that I liked about it was everything was there. They had three meals a day. They had card games and tours, and they take you anywhere you need to go. I was impressed, and that would be my first choice if I should need to move.

Robinwood Retirement Resort was lovely. I liked the facility. It was nice, big, lovely, and the thing that I loved about it was that I could go for a ride on the bike route. That was one of things I am most interested in. It was a bigger complex and the dining room was nice. It was a much bigger place than the rest, and then they have a little shopping area downstairs. There was a pharmacy that has everything.
