"My mom is in Traditions of Smyrna, and the staff is amazing to work with. They are very helpful, and they answer all my questions. The facility was immaculate compared to other facilities. They looked like prisons compared to this one. It was very clean, very open, and very refreshing. The dining area is great, it is clean, spacious, and the food is fairly good. The rooms are smaller, but apparently they're all small. I guess there's a medical reason for that. They try and keep their world confined into a smaller area so that they don't have as much to forget, and I understand that. As an apartment, I wouldn't want to live in it because it is too small, but I now understand why, so I think the rooms are appropriately sized. They have a complete monthly calendar of stuff that goes on every day. There's always some type of activity going on most of the days, either they are being read to or watching movies together."

"It was nice, there were little houses that had garages and screened in porches at the back. They had a lovely party room, and they had a room where the independent living residents can eat on their own apart from the assisted living residents which was nice. They can bring a bottle of wine for dinner. The thing they didn't like was the quality of the food, they thought the walls were thin, and mom didn't like the carpeting. "

"I toured Hermitage Senior Living. It was fine. It's a very well-kept place. The units are nice. They have a nice workout facility. The staff is friendly. They have activity rooms where they do weekly and daily activities. They have a restaurant that seems to be nice. The people who lived there and the front desk were nice. Adam, who is the manager, was very, very helpful. The rooms are medium, not small. They're a decent size."

"I looked at the rooms here and they're larger than usual, but I'm not impressed with the fact that they're all very proud of their liquor nights or happy hours. That's three times a week, and they look forward to that. The rooms were nice and big, and the gentleman that showed it to me was very nice. Everything was fine. It was a little bit less expensive, and the people were all very happy there. I don't have any complaints about this community, it's all very nice. I just don't like the drinking three times a week. The amenities looked pretty much the same everywhere. Everybody was nice. We're allowed to have pets, and I noticed several people with little dog. They looked cute and comfortable."

"Harmony at Mt. Juliet was a very clean facility. When I was there, they had a group activity going on for the residents. The residents were all very clean and they seemed very happy. The staff was responsive to the patient's requests, at least while I was touring the place. They do have a chef and they have different items on the menu. They have a kitchen area that the residents can use to make cookies or food for themselves. I thought the amenities were quite complete."

"I really did not want to put my grandmother in this place, but I had no other choice and it seemed like the best place out of all of the ones I looked into. They did provide excellent service and when I visited her every weekend she would tell me the good and the bad of being there. The good was always higher than the bad. She would talk very highly of it, she was never bored, she was able to see and talk to friends very often, she had things to keep her entertained, but the one complaint she always had was that there wasn't always someone there for her.. as in if she needed help, or had a question, it would always take awhile for someone to come to her. She said she thinks they are short staffed, and I asked about that to an employee and she did say they have more residents than their small staff could handle, but they were in the process of getting more employees. I surely hope they did because if so this place would be amazing for someones loved ones."

"My friend was a resident of Clarendale at Indian Lake. She had a big apartment and it was nice. She had a big kitchen and a full-sized refrigerator and everything. It was always neat and clean. The staff was in constant turnover there. The food was quite good."

"The room was very clean and spacious. They seemed to have a lot of activities for the residents, and they had a lot of choices for the food. It was beautiful, and they have beautiful gardens. I would recommend this community. "

"I moved to Avenida Cool Springs. They have everything; they have exercising, musicians come in, they have crafts, a training room, and all the exercise equipment you can possibly think of. They actually have different food trucks come in once a week just for a change, and they have a huge pool. It is only about a year old, and it is absolutely beautiful. I have a washer and dryer, a dishwasher, and a garbage disposal in my room, and a porch, so it is lovely. They offer a breakfast buffet, but there is no dining, and I don't mind that because I just came out of a place that was doing meals, and I spent $325 a month, and most of the time I was throwing food away. With the pandemic the dining room was closed and so they kept bringing food to us and it was not good. So, I am very happy making my own dinner or ordering in. All the restaurant and stuff, they deliver. The staff is excellent. They care about us and you can ask any one of the directors a question. They're not too busy, they stop what they're doing, and they help you. It is awesome. The maintenance people are good, and the cleaning ladies are good. I can't do all the activities they have because there's too many. The value is excellent; they gave us October, November, and December free when I moved in. That paid for my moving from Florida to here, and that was a great plus."

"Canterfield of Franklin is a brand-new facility and was very appealing. It was very comparative, except that it's a larger community and it's farther away. It was not as conveniently located. There is a good selection of rooms."

"Somerby Franklin was great and everyone was really nice. Everything was very clean, and the lady I spoke with was amazing. The place was immaculate and the staff was super friendly. I actually spoke with someone from the memory care unit who was great. They were baking with the residents. Everything smelled very clean because it was very clean."

"My favorite is The Heritage at Brentwood, but it is $10,000 a month and nobody should be getting that much. The apartments were maybe above standards, but not worth what they’re asking for. It’s a very affluent community, and they can get that price above the standard, but it's still too expensive. "
