"The Villages of Murfreesboro was the one we liked the best. It was just a little bit out of our price range. The staff was great. The apartments had sunrooms, and you can have outside personal entrance. They also had a dog park, but they don't have as much activity as we would like. The meals were fabulous, and the cook was great and very accommodating. They had activities, but a lot of the residents don't want to participate."

"Stones River Manor seemed like a really nice place, and the staff was very nice. The rooms that we looked at were nice and more apartment-style."

"My wife did some rehab at Adams Place and the staff was just fantastic,as well as the food. Everything about the place was top of the line. They were caring people, well-trained, friendly, and they did all they could to take care of her. It was very clean, very nice, and more down-home."

"I was able to visit a family member at Westbrook Towers. They have a lot going on for the seniors over there. It's gated so it's safe, and the people that live there say they are happy with the place. The apartments were clean and nice enough, also well protected and safe. They're a little small, but for one person it's all you need. They have activities and road trips to keep the residents busy. It looks like a good place to be as a senior."

"My husband and I were looking for a place for the future. We swim 3 times a week, we drive and travel all over. I'm 75 and he's 92. We're both healthy now. But we realized in the future we may need it. We have gone to many facilities but we found a place in Lake Providence and this is the one we liked best. What we like best about this community is that it has 2 swimming pools and we both love to swim. It has everything. We do a lot of wood working. They have wood working shop. They have many clubs and we would be buying a golf cart because you can go to the grocery store on golf cart. They have a private driveway to a shopping center so that you can go there and drive on the back way without having to get on the road. This is our favorite! All the people and staff are friendly and amazing. This is a great place to live. Highly recommended. "

"Everything in Carrick Glen was exactly what we we wanted for my parents. Everything was fine. They were all very friendly, very helpful, and everything was great. They had an activities room, dining room, and scheduled excursions for them."

"Rutland Place appeared very, very nice, and that probably was my favorite of the three places I visited. The place was absolutely lovely. I've heard good things about this place. Everybody looked well, and the couple of people I spoke to where actually lovely. I had nothing but a good experience with this facility. "

"I looked at the Fountains of Franklin. They have villas, but they were all occupied. They also showed me some assisted living places. They have some people who are independent but living in assisted living, that's in the main building. What I like about those are the rooms are very large and very well-kept. Our primary interest is in the villa but it's not available for quite a while. They plan to build some more, but they only have like 10 units and a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom place. The prices seemed a little high. Looking inside the menu that they offer, it's very much limited compared to the other place I toured. They offer three meals a day if you're staying inside the assisted living. And if you're living in the villas, I think it was 20 meals a month. There's only one staff person I dealt with, she had brochures that explain everything and she took us to one outstanding apartment. But it's more than I want to pay because I don't need assisted living. I saw several ladies coming back from a field trip on a bus, and another couple working on a puzzle. The fitness room was very small and had very, very limited equipment."

"I live at the Heritage, as I have for almost nine years, and i love it! I'm not paying anywhere near the $10,000 a month that someone just reported! I pay $4,000 a month for a beautiful two bedroom, two bath apartment, and it covers absolutely everything - most of my food, all maintenance, repairs, guarantee of a private room until the end of my life, rides to doctors and all sorts of events, trips, house keeping, all sorts of amenities and activities, etc. The people are wonderful, the staff is great, and I could not be happier. When you compare what it costs to maintain a large home, pay for health care, repairs, trips, etc., the price seems quite reasonable. "

"I live in Somerby Franklin right now. I love it. I just can't afford to stay here. I love the staff. They're great, except for the people who clean the rooms. The cleaning isn't so great. The rooms are great. I took a bigger space than I need, so I'm in a two-bedroom and I only need a one-bedroom. I anticipated much more company that I'm getting. The food is great. We have a wonderful chef here. There's a pool, a library, a gym, and a card room where people play cards. The biggest thing for me is the residents that I've met here. I'm an outgoing people person and I found some very good people who click with me."

"I moved to Avenida Cool Springs. They have everything; they have exercising, musicians come in, they have crafts, a training room, and all the exercise equipment you can possibly think of. They actually have different food trucks come in once a week just for a change, and they have a huge pool. It is only about a year old, and it is absolutely beautiful. I have a washer and dryer, a dishwasher, and a garbage disposal in my room, and a porch, so it is lovely. They offer a breakfast buffet, but there is no dining, and I don't mind that because I just came out of a place that was doing meals, and I spent $325 a month, and most of the time I was throwing food away. With the pandemic the dining room was closed and so they kept bringing food to us and it was not good. So, I am very happy making my own dinner or ordering in. All the restaurant and stuff, they deliver. The staff is excellent. They care about us and you can ask any one of the directors a question. They're not too busy, they stop what they're doing, and they help you. It is awesome. The maintenance people are good, and the cleaning ladies are good. I can't do all the activities they have because there's too many. The value is excellent; they gave us October, November, and December free when I moved in. That paid for my moving from Florida to here, and that was a great plus."

"Upon my arrival at this facility I was greeted by many smiling faces. The staff was very professional and friendly. I even felt like I had just walked into my grandmothers house. The patient I was there to see was very happy. She appeared very well taken care of. She was changed if she had soiled herself very promptly. She was taken to do crafts while I was there and said it was one of her favorite parts of the week. "

"In terms of its physical appeal, Southerland Place is very appealing. It’s an attractive area. It’s peaceful and quiet. It’s decorated very nicely, and it makes you think you’re in a pricey place and not an institution. It’s pricey, but for what they offer, I guess you’re willing to pay. Sometimes, there are problems with some of the aides. I think they get kind of busy depending on the number of patients they’re covering. Sometimes, they don’t attend to a patient quickly enough. For instance, a couple of times in the mornings, Sandra has left the bed, and she’s still laying in her clothes. "
