"I can not imagine a better home for mom as she progresses with her Alzheimer's. She has lots of good, loving care and attention and a beautiful living environment. It is situated in a lovely neighborhood, safe, with lots of beautiful walking paths. The Blakeford provides stimulating activities where mom can be actively engaged. We are blessed to live close and are always welcome when we visit. It really is like home! "

"NHC Place at The Trace is the most excellent place I've ever seen, the absolute attention to detail of their staff, their organization, and the personal care given to every resident. The facility was pristine. It's sort of the gold standard. You just can't get better than the Place at The Trace. The location was peaceful, elegant, and accessible. The staff was the kindest, most helpful, and most attentive of all the places that I went to, above and beyond. I got the chance to dine at the place and their food was most excellent and their kitchen staff was incredibly attentive to the dietary needs of all the residents. There were always options for any dietary needs and that was very impressive. They had an excellent kitchen, just unbelievable."

"When I toured West Meade Place, I got to see their therapy room, and it looked wonderful. I also saw their activity area. Their dining area was beautiful with big open windows, and it looked very comfortable. I saw the rooms, and they were equipped to do pretty high acuity. It looked like they were offering respirators, support, and they just seemed to have it all. The staff was just five stars. They were definitely first class."

"My mother and I were a little worried that the facility would not be able to handle my aunt, because when she was in good health she could be pretty demanding. But when we visited her last week, we met with the director of nursing and they walked us through her medical plan and told us how well she was doing. The nursing staff was so friendly to us and seemed to be perfect with my aunt. Since the stroke she has trouble speaking clearly so she has been taking classes from this wonderful doctor who is performing miracles with her. We were very surprised to hear that if her treatment continues to go well she will be able to go back home in six months. The nursing staff is always there when she needs them and all she has to do is use her buzzer to get them. She is happy and we can hardly wait for her to get to go home. "

"They had really good food at Richland. The care was good, the room was nice, clean, and well-kept. They need to encourage the patients to be more independent, and more active. However, the staff was caring. "

"This nursing home is not a fancy home by any means. It is very basic and doesn't provide a great deal of extras. What this nursing home has above others is a staff who is friendly and provides great care for their patients. Even the kitchen staff knows the patients by name. They have a wonderful activity coordinator who goes above and beyond for the elderly in her care. They do bingo, music, have parties and sing alongs. It definitely lightens the mood in the building. The administrators seem very attentive and the patients have never complained about lack of care or attention and they aren't shy about speaking their minds. I really can't say enough about this place. As I mentioned, it is not the fanciest nursing home I've been to but it's certainly one of the most caring. "

"My mom stayed at the Life Care Center of Hickory Woods for rehab. That was a very good community. I like the facility itself; it was very clean and well maintained. The rooms are spacious. The staff is very, very caring. The food was good; it was very good portion size, and very tasty."

"I rate our experience with this provider as average. The facility itself is usually clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. They have several activities for the residents to participate in. I don't like how the residents seem to lose their individuality though. By this I mean the staff tends to dress the residents in each others clothes just because it's what handy and it fits. Just because they are elderly and in my father's case, have dementia, doesn't mean that they completely forget who they are. Let them have their dignity. "

"I am currently a patient in Crestview. Been here a month. Physical threapy rates 5 star: RN'S a 4 star: Techs a 2 to 3 star depending on the person and the shift. My room is cleaned everyday. I have friends that come in here and not one says it is anything but clean: have a new manager 4 star: food 1 star, it is bad, but one meal a day would be something you could eat. Some great delivery places close: I have severe pain and need drugs at my room every 4 hours. That is a hard schedule to meet at any location give that a 3 star: the one reviewer doesn't know what she is talking about. This is the third location I have been in Nashville. From the part of town to what would be the not so good a part. All things considered, most of the people here do the best they can with all the stress that comes with this kind of work "

"We like The Reserve at Spring Hill and my mother-in-law is living there now. It's a very nice community and she's very happy. I haven't tasted the food but she's very pleased with it. Their staff is very nice and very helpful. They've answered all our calls and taken care of just about everything we have requested. The reason we picked this place, was because when I visited the residents were playing cards in the dining room and they were whooping it up like you wouldn't believe. They were having so much fun, and that's what I wanted for my mother-in-law. She's been meeting a lot of people there and it's been very good for her. She raves about the food and she's really happy about it. I think it's a good value for my money."

"We had to put my sister at Cumberland Manor Nursing Center because she has a big brain tumor, and we were just there a couple of days. Everything is on one floor and it is clean. She is in a semi-private room but there is no one on the other side. There is a closet place, a little chest, and they had a place to put her TV. The people were very nice and trying to be accommodating. "

"Upon first entering this facility, it was not what we were expecting. It’s an older building but you can tell they are in the middle of small renovations. The staff on the 3rd floor were welcoming and treated my mom with respect immediately. It was later in the evening when she was admitted and the first thing she was asked was if she had supper. When she said no, a staff member named Heather (whom my mom has come to love) asked her what she would like, to which she replied a burger and fries from McDonald’s. They didn’t have to do that but it was ordered and mom really enjoyed it. The staff have continued to go above and beyond during her stay. I can’t say we are going to miss her being in the nursing home, but we are glad she will be returning home to us. Therapy has worked hard with her to ensure she has regained the strength she needs to be as independent as possible. The nurses, techs, nurse managers and director always were able to answer our questions and resolve any concerns we had. The housekeeping department kept her room very clean. Cedrick, I think was his name, always carries on conversations with her when he’s cleaning. The girl in laundry made sure she found any missing clothing and labeled them. The dietary department does their best, but it’s hard to satisfy the taste buds of 60 people. Overall this has been quite an adventure and the Heartland staff have helped us as a family navigate it well. "
