"I have my aunt in respite care here. I really like the facility. The staff is very eager to do whatever it takes to make you happy. The food is good; they had to grind the food up for my aunt, and they have been very good about doing that and making sure that they only give her things that she can eat. The doors are all locked; the front door stays unlocked during the day, but there is usually someone right there to monitor those coming in and out. It is a very nice facility. "

"My mother has been in here for two months now. She seems to enjoy it. There's a limited number of people. There are only 40 to 50 residents, and it's a one-level facility that's in a circular shape. The outside rooms have access to the center common area. They also have outside wraparound porch, where they can sit out and enjoy the outside. She seems to like it. She has memory problems, so she can't really tell you everything. Once they start realizing that she's not able to manage at all, then we will have to send her to a more memory care facility. The staff is very nice. Her room reminds me of a studio motel. You have a bedroom, a bath, a living area with a kitchen, and enough room to put a little two-person dinette."

"I was very satisfied with the level of care provided by this facility. The staff was very professional, curtious, and really took care of their patients. The food in this facility was amazing. Even the speciality diet dinners were very good. I never saw a patient that was dirty,they were always changed regularly.Adquately staffed. Patients seem very happy. This is one of the best facilites I have ever been in and I have had several family members and close friends in this facility. "

"We toured The Rivers at Maryland Farms. We went into one of the rooms. The people were very helpful and very kind. It was very clean and updated. The room size was good. The area was great. My father really liked that one, but the other one is closer to where all their doctors are, the hospital and all that, so he wanted to stick with that one because of that. The dining area was awesome. It was wonderful. Their price was reasonable, and the parking situation was great. It was really convenient."

"It was good, I liked it fine. I liked the staff very much, they were good, and the facility was very new, and it was nice. The rooms were very nice, the dining area was large, and it had a lot of windows. The staff was very helpful."

"Belmont Village is where we have my dad. There are a number of really good things about this place. First of all, it tended to be a bit less money than some of the places I've visited for the quality. It is in a very good neighborhood in Nashville and, unlike some assisted living facilities, it doesn't require a large or any upfront investment. Some of the better facilities here require that you have a buy-in, which could be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, but this is not like that. This is just rent, and the price is reasonable. The people who work there are extremely professional. Everyone from the administrative staff to the nursing staff is very good. The place is animal-friendly, so if you have a pet or a dog, they will walk them there, which is unusual. They also encourage lots of artistic creativity whether it is people playing music or whatever their hobbies are. It is a nice social community of people who are infirmed or old, and it is a very friendly, very cheery place. I've visited a number of other places here in Nashville, and they were depressing to me; I just didn't like them. I just love the people here. They are such nice people who run this place. It is really one of the best facilities in Nashville. "

"My mother was at Traditions of Spring Hill memory care. It's a very nice facility. We enjoyed our time there. I have nothing bad to say about the place. The staff was very caring. My mother appreciated how caring they were. The food was brought to them. She did not like the food there, but she's very picky. Her room was nice. She had a shared bathroom, but she had her own room."

"For my aunt it becane home for her. Staff were like family. The residents were friends. If your looking for a homey feel rather than clinical feel. Stones River Manor is it. The staff is there because they care and love the residents. The social activities are like no other. Good home cooked meals."

"My mother-in-law is currently at Adams Place for rehab. It's relatively new, it's in very good shape, and it appears to be very well staffed. The food seems to be good. They seem to be very good both in the physical therapy OT side and the nursing side."

"We have chosen Park View Meadows for my mother, and we have put a downpayment, and as soon as they have a room available she will be able to move in. It is small, very warm, and comfortable. There's not too many people. The staff has been there for a long time. It's close to my home so that I can still be very involved with my mom. They had studios and a couple of one-bedrooms, and my mother is looking at a studio. They have three meals a day, breakfast cooked to order every day, lots of activities from exercise to joy rides on the bus, and family picnics once a month. The director took all the time that we needed and we were with her for almost two hours doing a tour of a facility that only had 28 apartments to it. The facility was excellent. They have a covered patio front and back, and they have a salon, and the hairdresser is there every Thursday. It was really the size of Park View that got me. It was just so personal."

"I have toured Tennessee Veterans' Home, they have various stages of care for whatever your person would need. The only staff person that stands out is the lady I've talked to on the telephone quite frequently. She's been really good about following up and getting me the documentation that I need. The staff was fine, they were very professional. They have various rooms depending on what your needs are. Their private rooms were a little small but they were very well-equipped. The atmosphere isn't institutionalized, it's more a family setting or a community setting. They are so much better than the senior places in Memphis, it's not even funny."

"Grace House Residential Home for the Elderly is small and kind of intimate, it felt most appropriate for my sister. I didn't feel like we were paying for services that she was not going to use, so the smaller place suits her better. The person who gave me the tour is the owner, and she was very forthcoming to tell me exactly what would be available to my sister. She gave me her history in the health care field and her reason for starting this home, which made me feel good about the whole thing. She came to visit my sister where she is now, and they had a little interview together, so both my sister and I felt good about that whole situation. The room was just a basic room in a house, it's a small room with an attached half bath, it had a toilet, a sink, and they have a separate walk-in shower for the residents to use for their safety. It's like a 12x12 room with a lavatory and toilet attached to the room. They told me their menu for that day and we were perfectly happy with that. They had a typical home dining area that's got a dining table that seats eight. It's right next to the kitchen, it's nothing fancy, and it's just a very home-like atmosphere. There's not so much activities. There are four men and two ladies there now, and a lot of them spend time in their rooms, they have their own TV, and there's a large screen TV in the living area. Occasionally they play bingo and they do cookouts like on holidays and things. The facility is nothing elegant nor fancy, but it's adequate."

"My mother in law was a long term resident at The Waters until she passed away last year. During her stay the staff was caring and compassionate, even though her medical conditions could make her a challenge. I would highly recommend doing your research and touring any facility you're considering placing your loved one in but The Waters was very good to my mother in law and our family!
