"I toured Red Cedar Glen. The lady who gave me the tour was a 5. There's a shared bathroom, but if you need assistance, you can only get one side of the bedroom because the walkway isn't accessible on the other side. However, overall, the community was very positive and happy there."

"I toured Brookdale Goodlettsville Assisted Living. It was a nice place. I liked it. The rooms were very nice. I guess they could be considered one-bedroom apartments. The staff who gave the tour was nice. I liked her. I don't know about the food, but the dining area was nice. The place was nice. If my sister were able to stay there, I'm sure they would consider it. However, she is not qualified because she can't stand up, and she can't transfer from the bed to the wheelchair and vice versa."

"I really like them. It was newly remodeled, so the rooms were big and airy. I like the shower because it was a total roll-in zero entry shower. They have a bigger refrigerator there than the other place we saw and I like that idea. I just didn't like that it's larger than the other places, so it would be farther for my dad to get around and he's on a walker. But it was clean, the people were friendly, it's nice and the staff members were very nice. They had a big dining area. It was nice and clean with lots of room for people to socially distance when they come down to eat."

"Charter Senior Living of Hermitage was clean, it smelled nice, and the residents looked happy. The house that my brother would be going into was nice. I couldn't believe how big it was actually, it surprised me. The dining hall was very pretty, very nice. People were eating and so forth. They had therapy, and they went to the room with the patients. They had a transitional process, as people get older and get worse, they can move up to assisted living and then to memory care and they never have to leave the facility. I like that. The staff was very nice, very nice, I was very impressed with it. It was very nice. If we can afford it, that's where we're going."

"I toured Harmony at Mt. Juliet. It was excellent, and I got a very good tour. I was there for over an hour and a half and saw all three phases that they offer. They were very accommodating and gave me all the information and literature that I requested. The accommodations were excellent, one bedroom, two bedroom, and all kinds of events that they have. They did a thorough job of explaining all of the options available to us and the cost. I liked all that they offered, as far as senior living, moving from independent living in your own home to what they have there, from bowling alley to movie theater to a lot of activities that go on there. It's only about four years old. The facility is new and very clean. They offered all kinds of options if we chose to move in. You could put early down payments on a design, whether it be a one-bedroom or two-bedroom that you might wish to live in. Whenever they opened and were available, they would notify you, and if you were ready to move, you could. If you wanted to be put on hold for another few months, you could, so it gave you a lot of options there."

"Wilson Manor was very nice and clean. The people were friendly. I was impressed. They showed us an apartment that somebody was currently living in. It was very nice. They had activities. They had somebody come in and do hair cutting. They had a doctor on staff that came in once a week."

"My mother moved into American House Lebanon's assisted living. They have good nurses, and they're personal with her, which helps her a lot. The staff there is really good. I have not tried the food, but I've seen my mother eat, and it looks fine. It's decent-looking and she seems to like it. For activities they have certain things. Every week they have something for them, like bingo and stuff like that."

"We toured Trousdale Senior Living Center. Everybody there was really nice, and my uncle still had the freedom to come and go. He'll be able to take his vehicle up there, and there's no set time for visitors, just anytime. It's very clean, super clean. The staff was very good and answered all the questions we had, telling us everything about everything they do. They supply all three meals a day. They have a big TV in the dining room area for the residents to watch the news and different events. They line up a lot of different activities throughout the week for them to all get together and do."

"My friend is in Belmont Village Green Hills. She has a beautiful room set up and is enjoying meeting new people and getting involved in a few of the activities there. Her dog is there too. They have a nice area that she's very close to just outside her room where the dog can walk, and they can get a little exercise out there safely. It's enclosed by a fence. Everyone is lovely and she's very happy there. They have a little golf putting green outside, there's an activity room upstairs with TVs, games, and puzzles, and they offer movies. The meals are delicious. They offer transportation for people who need to shop or go to church or to visit a doctor and go to dentist appointments. It's extremely clean. The receptionist and all the people who work in the restaurant are very friendly. The two people who worked with us, Elizabeth and David, were extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our questions, and helped with the move. Everyone was wonderful."

"I visited Brookdale Green Hills. It was great, and I really liked the place. However, it was a little far from my family, and it was very expensive. It was like walking into a hotel, the tour was very nice, and they had several types of rooms. It depends on how much space you want. They had a 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and a studio apartment. It's a small apartment, with a living room/kitchen area together, and the bathroom and bedroom separate. They had a small snack bar where you could get light breakfast in the morning, an exercise room, and a computer room. The staff I met was very friendly."

"American House in Brentwood was a very, very nice facility. The staff seemed warm and caring. The executive director gave me a tour and I felt very confident that she cared about the residents. They have a physical therapy room, a nice courtyard that the residents could go and sit in, and a room where there was a piano."

"I toured Cloverland Park Senior Living. They do a wonderful job. It's a great place. It is conveniently located. It's a newer facility, so everything is fresh in it. The room I saw was a roomy studio compared to what my mom is in now. So the studio was nicer, the bathrooms nicer, and it had a full-size refrigerator. The staff was very helpful. The building was outstanding. The outdoor space is wonderful. It was set up very privately. It's large and it has a little putting green. It has all kinds of places just to sit around outdoors like a television and a fireplace. The outside space is very nice."

"When I got to Harmony at Brentwood, the staff was kind of in the middle of something, but she took time out to show me the area and show me a room and show me the different amenities they got there, so it was excellent. The room was very nice and very spacious. She showed me different floor plans. She took me to a room where they had little meetings and where you can have birthday parties and stuff for the resident. I didn't get to see much of the outdoor space. What I've seen mainly was the front part, but she told me she wanted me to come back with my mother, to call her and let her know, and she would be more than glad to show me more of the place. They had a little area where residents can go and have their breakfast and just mingle. It seemed excellent, and it was one of the newer facilities. The dining area was nice. She took me to the hair salon where the residents can get their hair and nails done."
