We're over at Charter Senior Living of Hermitage. My wife is in memory care. I liked the facility a lot, I liked that that level of care has a really good staff, a lot of experience. It's like a studio, split-level, it's not undaunting. Very, very light, lots of light, two secured garden squares for them to walk in, so it's pretty nice. It's not the highest price in town, but it's not the lowest either, about mid-rate, but I like the experience. Everywhere else I went, I talked to a sales rep, but this time when I went to Charter, they had me sit down with the staff so I could fire questions at them, and then they had me actually walk in and look at a room, and they walk the halls with me, and I could see exactly what was going on. They took me all through the entire facility with the people in it, so I can see what kind of shape they were in. That was the one I was more comfortable with, and more comfortable sending a loved one there.

Charter Senior Living of Hermitage was clean, it smelled nice, and the residents looked happy. The house that my brother would be going into was nice. I couldn't believe how big it was actually, it surprised me. The dining hall was very pretty, very nice. People were eating and so forth. They had therapy, and they went to the room with the patients. They had a transitional process, as people get older and get worse, they can move up to assisted living and then to memory care and they never have to leave the facility. I like that. The staff was very nice, very nice, I was very impressed with it. It was very nice. If we can afford it, that's where we're going.

I like my tour of Charter Senior Living of Hermitage. They were very nice and very polite, and the staff took a lot of time with me and talked with me. Plus, the people there seemed very happy, we walked through it and it was a nice place. The lady that I talked with was interested in what I was asking about and we talked for a long time. They pretty much had everything that would be needed, everything was right there. They had a beauty salon, and barbershop, and most of them had pendants that the people could wear in case they fell or something. I was impressed with those things. They also had a nice little courtyard and a gardening place if they would like to garden.

The staff that toured me at Charter Senior Living of Hermitage was wonderful. They took their time and they answered our questions, everybody was wonderful. The size of the rooms was nice, it's a different layout from the other place I saw, but they're nice. The people were at lunch when we were there. The facility was a little bit older than the other one.

I toured Charter Senior Living of Hermitage and I was very impressed with that. I liked that a lot. The rooms in the independent living area are big; each one is as big as a small house and there's plenty of room. The one I saw had two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a living room. It was very nice. It also had a garage, which was good. It accepted pets, too, which is good. It was a very nice unit. The lady that took me around was extremely nice and I liked her a lot. She gave me some sheets of paper about the activities, and we didn't talk much about it. They had a nice dining area, a kitchen, and they have a beauty shop. They also offer dinner, but not breakfast and lunch. You got your own place to fix that.

Charter Senior Living of Hermitage was nice. I like the property, the people are great, and they have a lot of services. But the community is older, like for 80 and up, and I'm only 68. The staff that walked me through the tour were great and they were knowledgeable. And they were great about introducing us to the people in the community that was already living there. That was nice. They were very neat, clean, and well-kept.

Charter Senior Living of Hermitage looked nice. It's very clean and the staff was very friendly. The room my father will be in is a little smaller than what I wanted, but they have availability. I put him in there because it seemed the easiest place to transition him to. The dining area looked open, clean, and nice. They seemed to have a good menu and regular options people could choose from if they didn't want the daily menu. They have an activities director so they have daily activities. It seemed pretty lively. They have different exercise classes offered every day, music offered, board games on certain days, bingo, and scrabble. They have a variety of things every day that keeps them busy and they are given different choices. Every morning at 9:30 they have different exercise programs like stretching, chair yoga, other things like that. They have a book club on some days, after lunch they have bible studies, they show documentaries, and have craft days.

I did like this community. The main are was in the center and the rooms were around it, so that they can keep an eye on everybody better, I think. The room wasn’t as nice, but I did like the setup of the facility. They designed it like a circle with the dining area and TV in the middle with the rooms are around it, so they're inches away from the people to watch them. They'd know if something might be wrong with somebody, and it seemed like it would be easier for them to know anyone had a problem.

I visited, and I had a positive feeling about the facility. They do have a calendar of activities, and I know they have transportation for their field trips. Their independent living residents are free to participate or not in their activities. Their independent living arrangement was very, very nice.

I like the friendliness of the staff. They were very helpful. They walked us through and answered questions. They even asked about Mom. Some of their rooms were nice, but some of them were just adequate. With regards to activities, they had everything from bridge to book club, and those are the kinds of things that my mother is interested in.

It was nice, there were little houses that had garages and screened in porches at the back. They had a lovely party room, and they had a room where the independent living residents can eat on their own apart from the assisted living residents which was nice. They can bring a bottle of wine for dinner. The thing they didn't like was the quality of the food, they thought the walls were thin, and mom didn't like the carpeting.
