"We toured The Rivers at Maryland Farms. It's a beautiful location, and I love the facility, and I love the girl who was walking us through the facility. Everybody was so sweet and kind. They all seemed happy. We had an opportunity to talk to some people who lived there, and they were very pleased with the facility, but it was a 45-minute drive from us, which was just a little too far. We met with Sidney, the admissions director, and Katie, the activities director. They were all just as sweet as could be. The facilities were amazing. They had monitors on the floor that detect a fall, and then the cameras in the rooms would have picked up on that motion detectors once they determined that somebody fell, and they would be able to get to them a lot quicker. That was a great selling point. The rooms were beautiful. The rooms are well maintained and taken care of, and they have all their in-house staff for cleaning."

"I visited Brookdale Green Hills. It was great, and I really liked the place. However, it was a little far from my family, and it was very expensive. It was like walking into a hotel, the tour was very nice, and they had several types of rooms. It depends on how much space you want. They had a 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, and a studio apartment. It's a small apartment, with a living room/kitchen area together, and the bathroom and bedroom separate. They had a small snack bar where you could get light breakfast in the morning, an exercise room, and a computer room. The staff I met was very friendly."

"I toured Harmony at Mt. Juliet. It was excellent, and I got a very good tour. I was there for over an hour and a half and saw all three phases that they offer. They were very accommodating and gave me all the information and literature that I requested. The accommodations were excellent, one bedroom, two bedroom, and all kinds of events that they have. They did a thorough job of explaining all of the options available to us and the cost. I liked all that they offered, as far as senior living, moving from independent living in your own home to what they have there, from bowling alley to movie theater to a lot of activities that go on there. It's only about four years old. The facility is new and very clean. They offered all kinds of options if we chose to move in. You could put early down payments on a design, whether it be a one-bedroom or two-bedroom that you might wish to live in. Whenever they opened and were available, they would notify you, and if you were ready to move, you could. If you wanted to be put on hold for another few months, you could, so it gave you a lot of options there."

"My friend is in Belmont Village Green Hills. She has a beautiful room set up and is enjoying meeting new people and getting involved in a few of the activities there. Her dog is there too. They have a nice area that she's very close to just outside her room where the dog can walk, and they can get a little exercise out there safely. It's enclosed by a fence. Everyone is lovely and she's very happy there. They have a little golf putting green outside, there's an activity room upstairs with TVs, games, and puzzles, and they offer movies. The meals are delicious. They offer transportation for people who need to shop or go to church or to visit a doctor and go to dentist appointments. It's extremely clean. The receptionist and all the people who work in the restaurant are very friendly. The two people who worked with us, Elizabeth and David, were extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our questions, and helped with the move. Everyone was wonderful."

"We toured Charter Senior Living of Franklin and we loved it. It was just really beautiful, modern, and well-maintained. The staff was very caring and professional. The people that we met were just great. The rooms were not huge, but sufficient, modern, and ready to go. We saw the menu and it looked good."

"I was very pleased with The Harpeth at Harmony Hills. We were touring for our mother who was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. My family and I have been going back and forth on the idea of moving our mother into a facility. After visiting the facility multiple times, the staff and residents were all very welcoming and most importantly, looked happy. This is what I would want for my mother, let alone any of my family members. I highly consider visiting the Harpeth at Harmony Hills. It is absolutely wonderful!"

"We looked at Belvedere Commons of Franklin. It was lovely and decorated for the holiday. We were looking for a smaller place, and it was nice and adequate. The staff who helped me during the tour was the best. It was Latoya, and she was wonderful. We loved her. She was friendly, helpful, and adorable. She was so inviting and engaging. She told us everything we wanted to know, and she was great. They were preparing for Thanksgiving. They gave us a piece of pie, and it was delicious. They have their own chef there. It smelled good. It all looked really good. It looked well-kept."

"I went to Brookdale Belle Meade. The rooms were very nice. I especially liked the alcove. It has a bedroom, a living room, and a place that serves as the kitchen area. The dining area is very nice. You can also order food delivered to your apartment, but it costs more. You have to pay extra. They had a library and a computer room. They had physical therapy. The person who toured us is well-versed. She knows the place."

"My mother is in Vitality Living Franklin. It's the right size community. Not too small, not too big. The services are there to meet her needs and the staff is concerned with her well-being. The main area of the assisted living is kind of hardwood and their bedroom is carpeted. They have things and refrigerators and that sort of stuff. They have whatever the residents are looking for. They kind of pull the residents and some of the high school folks come over to do some of their performances from the Franklin High School as well as just general bingo and elderly calisthenics and that sort of stuff. I've eaten there and the food was pretty good on the assisted living side. On the memory care side, it could improve. Value seems to be on par with everybody else."

"We went to Harmony at Victory Station. It was very nice. I like it. The person who showed us around was very nice and really good. She was a lot of help and everything, but I just don't think it's going to work. They have independent living and assisted living, but then that would be the same situation because my mother couldn't walk. I thought maybe I could get her an electric wheelchair, but even with that, I highly doubt she could do it on her own to make it to an exit or to an elevator. She's 91 now (she just had her birthday), and her functioning isn't at that level anymore, so she is in a care home right now in California that does everything for her, and I'll probably have to leave her there. The staff showed me the assisted living floor and the independent living, and I would say that it is probably an excellent facility. The room was very nice. There was plenty of space and everything that a person would need in that condition. They also have a nice rehab, so a person can do their rehab program and everything there. What I thought was great was that if they were just moving in and they didn't have their doctors set up, they would work with their groups that has a doctor and nursing and all of that on board for them right away, and then they could move from there to their own doctors if they wanted to do that, and I thought that was convenient. They have a dining area there, and they try to encourage everybody to go to the room to meet people and everything. It's also in a very nice location. Harmony at Victory Station was very nice, and I would love my mom to be there, but she just needs more care than that."

"My brother-in-law moved into American House Murfreesboro. They were open, and they asked financially where I was to be able to assist him so that we didn't waste each other's time, and that was important to me. They worked with me on the services they could provide within my budget. My brother-in-law seems thrilled about the food. Everyone that I have met seems very focused, not just on the client, but also on ensuring that they meet the requirements of the legal system. They just put new flooring down, so they're working on upgrades. They have an activities director, and they also do outside activities. They have music night and bingo night. They have a nice dining area set up, as well, just for them to gather. There are cards and all kinds of things."

"I toured Red Cedar Glen. The lady who gave me the tour was a 5. There's a shared bathroom, but if you need assistance, you can only get one side of the bedroom because the walkway isn't accessible on the other side. However, overall, the community was very positive and happy there."

"I really like them. It was newly remodeled, so the rooms were big and airy. I like the shower because it was a total roll-in zero entry shower. They have a bigger refrigerator there than the other place we saw and I like that idea. I just didn't like that it's larger than the other places, so it would be farther for my dad to get around and he's on a walker. But it was clean, the people were friendly, it's nice and the staff members were very nice. They had a big dining area. It was nice and clean with lots of room for people to socially distance when they come down to eat."
