Independent Living Communities in Brentwood, TN

"We went to Harmony at Bellevue and looked at the independent and the assisted living. We did not look at the memory care unit. It was certainly big and spacious. We were very impressed when we walked in, but we had to wait for the tour a little bit. One of the assistants who was brand new helped us and I told the director the person did a very good job filling in. I was very pleased overall. We were very pleased with everything that they showed us. Everything was very informative. We looked at the different activity places they had for assisted living. We looked at the dining hall. They were getting ready to eat their lunchtime meal. The food looked and smelled very good. As we walked around, the staff that we met was very pleasant. The condition of the facility was excellent. We couldn't get outside because it was raining, so I didn't see much of the outside, but on the inside, it was very clean, very well taken care of, very spacious, and had just a very comfortable feeling as we walked around and looked at the different places. As we walked around, many of the people who lived there spoke to us and asked us if we were interviewing and looking. The atmosphere was very good."

"I moved into Clarendale at Bellevue Place last month. It's fine, it's good, the staff is very good, and the room is very nice. I moved here because of location, my insurance okayed it, and it's really nice. The food is good."

"We went to look at Traditions of Smyrna. They were fantastic. It's very beautiful, very clean, and it has a homey feeling to it when you walk in. It's clean but it's not so sterile that you feel like you're in a hospital. You feel like you're in a home, it's nice, and it's beautiful. It just has a homey feel to it, yet it's very, very clean. The person who accommodated us was wonderful. The dining area is large, clean, and very open. We didn't eat anything there, but it has a restaurant, homey feel. They have a game area, an outdoor place where you can eat in the summer, and a coffee bar like a barista. It's nice. I was sad we couldn't put my mom there. The staff was wonderful."

"Charter Senior Living of Hermitage was nice. I like the property, the people are great, and they have a lot of services. But the community is older, like for 80 and up, and I'm only 68. The staff that walked me through the tour were great and they were knowledgeable. And they were great about introducing us to the people in the community that was already living there. That was nice. They were very neat, clean, and well-kept."

"I moved into Hermitage Senior Living. I have nothing but good things to say. The staff has been so helpful. There've been a couple of glitches that maintenance has taken care of right away. I mean, nothing serious. I only had a couple of electric outlets that weren't working, and they got that taken care of immediately. The residents are so welcoming. I attended bingo and ate in the cafeteria. All those events were very good. Since I'm on a special diet, I plan to cook my meals in my little kitchen most of the time, but it's so good to know I can eat there when I want to. I've had two meals there. They were delicious, but because they're not in my food plans, I'm not going to be dining there very often. The size of my room is 510 square feet. This is the smallest place I have ever lived in, but I knew it was small, so I prepared for that. It's a good size. They are very efficient, friendly, and timely. I'm not going to be able to get bored. There are activities every day. It's rather expensive, but I know I'm getting my money's worth."

"I toured Harmony at Mt. Juliet. It was excellent, and I got a very good tour. I was there for over an hour and a half and saw all three phases that they offer. They were very accommodating and gave me all the information and literature that I requested. The accommodations were excellent, one bedroom, two bedroom, and all kinds of events that they have. They did a thorough job of explaining all of the options available to us and the cost. I liked all that they offered, as far as senior living, moving from independent living in your own home to what they have there, from bowling alley to movie theater to a lot of activities that go on there. It's only about four years old. The facility is new and very clean. They offered all kinds of options if we chose to move in. You could put early down payments on a design, whether it be a one-bedroom or two-bedroom that you might wish to live in. Whenever they opened and were available, they would notify you, and if you were ready to move, you could. If you wanted to be put on hold for another few months, you could, so it gave you a lot of options there."

"Brookdale Hendersonville is all on one floor, and it was quite widespread, which is a problem because you will be required to do too much walking. But it was a very nice facility. The services they offer are quite good. They have medical professionals on site. "

"We really like Harmony at Victory Station. It's actually my husband's favorite. If he had to pick, that's where his parents would go to. He liked that once COVID is over the independent living and assisted living could be together. He likes that idea because his parents wouldn't feel so isolated. He liked the library and that they had a computer room that was very spacious and all the amenities that he thinks his parents would like. He knows them better than I do. The facility was really nice. You can tell it's been there, but it was nice and it's a large place. It was very clean. The staff was very nice. We came there earlier and the lady there missed our appointment. They were very apologetic and they were very concerned about our feelings. They were going to go and do a tour with us anyways. It was nice. I liked how they did that. There's opportunity for much more community interactions there. I like that they've got interactions with the independent living and the other care residents. They've also got a theater upstairs. It's just a bit better community wise/better than some of the smaller places."

"The atmosphere at Clarendale is wonderful. I like how I can feel proud about bringing visitors here because the building always looks so good. The activities are very enjoyable. "

"I visited and it was very, very nice. The rooms were great. The amenities were really nice. They had a lot for the residents to do, which was a plus. They were super knowledgeable and caring. They have exercise area, cold room, a bigger room, different sitting areas around the building. The façade was beautiful. The only thing I did not like was having to go downstairs on elevators/that it had so many floors."

"My parents live at this facility and I am so impressed with the friendliness and competence of the staff. Everything is done to assure the comfort and care of the residents, including relaxed decorating of units, snacks on demand, personal preferences met, etc. It has 24-hour nursing staff, which qualifies it for longterm care insurance benefits.
