"We went to Harmony at Bellevue and looked at the independent and the assisted living. We did not look at the memory care unit. It was certainly big and spacious. We were very impressed when we walked in, but we had to wait for the tour a little bit. One of the assistants who was brand new helped us and I told the director the person did a very good job filling in. I was very pleased overall. We were very pleased with everything that they showed us. Everything was very informative. We looked at the different activity places they had for assisted living. We looked at the dining hall. They were getting ready to eat their lunchtime meal. The food looked and smelled very good. As we walked around, the staff that we met was very pleasant. The condition of the facility was excellent. We couldn't get outside because it was raining, so I didn't see much of the outside, but on the inside, it was very clean, very well taken care of, very spacious, and had just a very comfortable feeling as we walked around and looked at the different places. As we walked around, many of the people who lived there spoke to us and asked us if we were interviewing and looking. The atmosphere was very good."

"I moved into Clarendale at Bellevue Place last month. It's fine, it's good, the staff is very good, and the room is very nice. I moved here because of location, my insurance okayed it, and it's really nice. The food is good."

"We went to look at Traditions of Smyrna. They were fantastic. It's very beautiful, very clean, and it has a homey feeling to it when you walk in. It's clean but it's not so sterile that you feel like you're in a hospital. You feel like you're in a home, it's nice, and it's beautiful. It just has a homey feel to it, yet it's very, very clean. The person who accommodated us was wonderful. The dining area is large, clean, and very open. We didn't eat anything there, but it has a restaurant, homey feel. They have a game area, an outdoor place where you can eat in the summer, and a coffee bar like a barista. It's nice. I was sad we couldn't put my mom there. The staff was wonderful."

"I toured Hermitage Senior Living. It was out of price range for my parishioner, and she preferred not a high-rise. The experience was wonderful, though. The facility is well put together and well planned out. The staff was great and accommodating. They answered all my questions, and they took as much time as they needed with me. They showed me plans that they have to modernize the building and to move all activities to one area of the building. It is independent living. I think it's 14-story, one-bedroom apartments with an interior hallway. I saw the chapel and the cafeteria. I met the cafeteria staff and several other people."

"I visited and it was very, very nice. The rooms were great. The amenities were really nice. They had a lot for the residents to do, which was a plus. They were super knowledgeable and caring. They have exercise area, cold room, a bigger room, different sitting areas around the building. The façade was beautiful. The only thing I did not like was having to go downstairs on elevators/that it had so many floors."

"I visited The Heritage at Brentwood, and it's very nice. They had activities, and they had healthcare available. The staff that I met have been really very helpful and friendly. My husband has cousins living there, and I have a lady friend that is now living there, and they both love it. The apartments were absolutely gorgeous. They had one-bedroom, two-bedrooms, villas for standalones, and apartments. "

"My parents live at this facility and I am so impressed with the friendliness and competence of the staff. Everything is done to assure the comfort and care of the residents, including relaxed decorating of units, snacks on demand, personal preferences met, etc. It has 24-hour nursing staff, which qualifies it for longterm care insurance benefits. I would recommend it to anyone! "

"I was able to tour Everleigh Cool Springs. Walking into the place, it looked very nice and comfortable when I walked through the front door. The staff was great. When I first came they answered all the questions that I had. They had two apartments, a 1-bedroom, and a 2-bedroom that they took me through. I visited all the various amenities like the gym, which had treadmills and things for exercising. They also showed me where the elevators were, and where you put your trash during the day on all the different floors, and they gave me a complete view of the whole place. And then they sat down and we talked about the finances how long everything would take to get it started and so forth. There was no breakfast available on Sundays. They have a room where visitors can stay, so I'm going to visit back and have breakfast there. They also have a happy hour where I will be able to socialize, and they have little extra things that they do and I'll be able to participate in that when I'm down there. The one staff I met was very friendly. They go out of their way to make sure that they show us everything and did the best they could. I think the pool probably needed to be cleaned out a little bit better. I dropped in without an appointment but the lady there still showed me around."

"My mom has been a resident of the Blakeford in assisted living for almost 2 years now, since the death of her husband. The Blakeford provides a range of care and services, from independent living to skilled nursing. One of the things I love most is the location, right in the middle of Green Hills. I live in the same neighborhood and with mom next door practically we can enjoy being part of a larger community. We enjoy taking walks, seeing people out with their dogs, or feeding the geese on the lake by the Blakeford. We are close to great restaurants (but the dining room food at the Blakeford is perfectly yummy), mall, and churches. The staff are caring, supportive, and communicative. The Blakeford provides many enriched activities such as music, art, games, field trips, lectures, book readings. Mom is always busy! I love the days when I go over to visit and she says she is too busy there to go out with me. It makes me realize how comfortable she is in her environment and in her life and eases some of the guilt that as a caregiver we never quite do enough. It is nice knowing that many of mom's needs for companionship, friendships, self help care can and are shared and are met at the Blakeford. Her routines are structured, she gets support, she gets love, and we are blessed to have such a fortunate situation that we can be a part of too. The Blakeford recognizes and supports the involvement of families too so we always feel our voices are heard! "

"I visited The Crestmoor at Green Hills. It's a newer one, and I liked it especially for independent living. That would be a really great place to live. I really did like it. It's very clean. You feel like you're in this nice New York hotel. It's really pretty. I would love to live there now myself. They have an indoor swimming pool with a low-grade ramp. It's good for using PT in the water and walking down the railings and down the ramp into the water, so it's unique to use with their PT and water aerobics. There are restaurants on different levels where the food and the views are really good. I was surprised in the middle of Green Hills, it's like a mall and shops, but the views out the windows are pretty from the different areas. I have a good friend there, and she is very picky. She travels all over the world, and she says the food is really good. I saw the PT there working with two of the men, and they all seem very happy, and she's very personable. Valerie, who gave me the tour, was really great. My friend liked water aerobics and everything. She was saying it's a really good value for what is offered."

"My Mom was at Morningside of Springfield twice over the past eight years. The care was exceptional and the food was absolutely delicious. Mom felt very loved by all of the employees. They became family to all of us. Mom passed away recently and looking back on the past 10years of her life the best decision we ever made was to trust Morningside with our Mom"s care. Since the caregivers took care our Mom"s needs when we visited we were free to shower our Mom with love instead of trying to cook, clean and do personal care. Thank you Morningside for loving and caring for our Mom. We will be forever grateful ! "
