"I toured McKendree Village. The staff member who assisted me was very friendly. We didn't have much touring given. It's just directions, more so of how to get from point A to point B. I really like the room size. I saw a two-bedroom, and it was very nice to be considered assisted living."

"We looked at Saddlebrook, independent living for seniors, and that was a pretty nice place. We did not have a model to look at, so we looked at the facility. It seemed pretty nice. The common areas seemed OK. I thought they had a salon, and a common area for gaming. They had a media room where you could go and watch TV and a full-time staff during the day, but they did not have anything after hours or in case of emergency. You had to get your own Life Alert type thing if you wanted to do that. It would be nice if they had that, but they did not have a full or round-the-clock staff in the office to handle emergencies because it was independent living. "

"We have chosen Hearthside Senior Living. We got our names on the waiting list there. We met with the manager of the property. He gave us some brochures, and told us all about the property, the cost factors, and so forth. It is a nonprofit, so the cost factor is considerably lower than in other areas. I think they have 30 units in total. They have two two-bedroom units, and the rest of them are three-bedroom in a gorgeous layout with two car garages, a large great room, a kitchen, and a living area. Then on the particular unit, we went into was a screened-in patio out back and nice large bedrooms. The master bedroom and master bath are good size. The kitchen is a good size and well-appointed. They maintain everything except your washer and dryer. The floorplan is just gorgeous from the inside out. All units are occupied right now, but they have an agreement with one of their people to let you come in and look at the facility. You can go into the assisted living facility and you can eat your three meals there or you can get them and take them home. They've got game rooms that you can participate in. It's top-notch. All of the people were very friendly at the assisted living facility where the office was. "

"I am living in Lake Providence and I choose it because it is a beautiful place with nice houses. The people are very friendly and accommodating. My house is very spacious and everything is on one level. I have two car garages with no steps and it is very conveniently and designed for wheelchairs or disabled people. They had a clubhouse and workout rooms with lots of activities. This is a nice community and I am really happy here. "

"I like Carrick Glen Senior Living. They had nice individual homes with attached garage. I visited a 2-bedroom 2-car garage, and I liked the individuality of the home. They just didn't have enough availability, but they had a waiting list. The dining room was nice and decorated. The staff explained to me about the meal plan, and they had a separate building for the activities."

"We toured Rutland Place. The cleanliness was the best, and the people who took us on the tour did a great job, and the people who lived there. The facility was so nice, and the grounds were beautiful. They're all priced in the same area, and all we looked at was that the pricing is very similar. We like their rooms the best because all of the rooms had fans in them, and they were a nicer layout. The other thing we looked at was the people who were living in it, who seem to be maybe not as old. The whole area was cleaner and a nicer environment, which is what we like. Two men took us around. They were so good and they showed us everything. They were very pleasing to work with. We spent a good hour there or more because they were great. We saw the menu and everything was nice."

"My brother will move into Legacy Village of Hendersonville. We liked the tour, and they've been really helpful. We were able to buy the furniture that was already in the studio showroom. So that was helpful, not having to go out and find furniture. They've been nice to let us in to measure things and get what we need. It's in the middle of the road. The size of the rooms is nice. They offer all the way up to memory care. So, if my brother has to be moved eventually, he won't have to change facilities. The residents seem to be happy there. We talked to two or three of them. One thing we liked was that the dining area is on the first floor, where some of them are not, and they have to take an elevator to get to it. So, that was good. She was very nice and let us in to check other things. They also offered entertainment, which was good, trying to get them to interact. They showed us the menu, and if they don't like what they have on the list for the day, they can always get a sandwich, a hamburger, or something like that. The staff was very nice and accommodating."

"I toured the Album Indian Lake. The community is extraordinary. They have all the amenities that you need. If you want to be an active senior, they have a weight room and pools. They have an activity room where they do activities with the seniors. They have arts and crafts, a family area, and a theater room. They have everything. The person who showed me around was Elizabeth. She was nice, and the greeter at the door was Lisa. She was also really nice. The apartments are very, very well-kept. They're nice and spacious. The kitchens and the unit itself are amazing."

"My dad has moved into Park Place Retirement. He has been there for two weeks now. Everything about it is great from what I can see so far. His room is spacious. It's got two windows, a large refrigerator, and lots of storage. It has three closets in it. It's the best bang for your buck. So far, so good. The director is very nice and very accommodating. I don't have anything bad to say. My dad seems to be pretty pleased with the food thus far. The dining area is a nice size. They have a lot of activities, too."

"I had an in-person tour of Holiday Windlands East. When I first walked in, the people were so nice and friendly. It just seemed like such a warm and happy place. The guy who showed me around was very nice. It seems like they had everything. The staff members were very welcoming and knowledgeable. I was impressed. They have a beauty shop there, a podiatrist who was coming in, and different people who come in and do things."

"My family member has been at New Hope for almost 5 months. Moving her from another state was an exhausting process coupled with the task of finding a facility. We toured and interviewed 7 facilities. Thank God we found New Hope. New Hope is a fine blend between state-of-the-art technology and a family home. My loved one has dementia and the level of care she receives at New Hope is awesome. They have two chefs that accommodate residents food preferences. The care givers are skilled and also very kind. As a family member I am always welcomed anytime day or night. The home is beautiful and impeccably clean, always. The entire staff is amazing keep doing what you are doing. "

"My mom has moved into Sage Hill Maybelle Carter. It was more than excellent care; they are incredible. Every staff that we have met is so caring and considerate. They don't make you feel like they're rushed. It's just been a very good experience, and the food's very good. The facility is very nice and very well-kept. They do bingo, take them on outings, and have choirs. They have a lot of activities. My mom doesn't need to have a lot of amenities. They don't have a pool or anything like that. They have a porch outside where they can sit, a nice community room, and game rooms."

"My mom has moved into Sycamores Terrace. It's independent living. They have some activities, but they're limited because of the pandemic. They're bringing food to their rooms, too. The staff members are very kind and very nice."

"5 stars is not adequate enough to describe the staff at Stones River. Before you choose a home for your mother or father, walk through several and then come to Stones River. This is a non-for profit facility so their ratio of staff to resident is off the chart. The previous place my mom was in there was one nurse for the entire facility. This place has a nurse per hallway."
