My mother has been in Brookdale Belle Meade for about three years now. It's very nice. The care has been excellent. The staff is excellent. They're very caring and very involved. They communicate well. My mother is very happy there. They have semi-private rooms, which are called shared rooms, but they're quite big and roomy. I think they're bigger than the private rooms actually, so they're very nice. They have a beautiful garden setting in the back with a huge patio with flowers, trees, and bushes that are well-manicured. The residents love to sit out there because it's shaded. The activities director is very involved. They bake cookies, play games, and toss a ball. There're lots of things to get their mind working and their body moving some. They choose their staffing carefully. I've eaten over there a few times and I was very impressed. They have good-rounded meals. They have meat like chicken or salmon, vegetables and always a dessert. It could be a pie, a cake or a pudding. My mother likes the food. It's not overly seasoned, and I think it's a nice portion. If they want more, they can have extra. They do a very good job with all the meals. The assisted living is in a separate building, which is very nice and comfortable. They have a beautiful dining room and a nice living room. Assisted living is three levels and memory care is two levels. They had activities on both the main floor and second floor, and dining rooms on both floors. The buildings are laid out very nice there. They have an elevator. It's very clean and neat. On the front porch, they have rocking chairs with pillows for the residents if they want to go and sit in those during the day or evening. The parking is nice. It's up on a hill, so it's very private, very quiet, and secluded. They don't leave the residents just to sit in a room. There are at least a few people there to interact with them and keep them busy. They could be coloring or singing songs. Every day they put out a daily bulletin with all the news of the day and of years past and history. A lot of the residents read that out loud to the other residents, and they take turns. They have snacks during the day for them, which is nice. However, they're on the upper end of pricing.

I went to Brookdale Belle Meade. The rooms were very nice. I especially liked the alcove. It has a bedroom, a living room, and a place that serves as the kitchen area. The dining area is very nice. You can also order food delivered to your apartment, but it costs more. You have to pay extra. They had a library and a computer room. They had physical therapy. The person who toured us is well-versed. She knows the place.

Brookdale Belle Meade was the nicest. It's not really large by our standards, but compared to the others, it has a good-sized living space and a good-sized bedroom, and the layout was good. The person who toured us was very good and knowledgeable. They have transportation, and they had a happy hour. They also have a beauty salon and a courtyard. Overall, it looked good. It was well-kept. The colors were good and nice.

Brookdale Belle Meade was a fantastic place. They had a great staff. They were really attentive, very patient, and they really showed interest in supporting my needs at the time. Their appearance was phenomenal and they dressed great. I saw an activity room. We were really impressed with the tour.

While he facility was clean and most staff were nice, Brookdale is most concerned about filling rooms and getting money. They are very inflexible on meals which is a challenge for aging seniors who have lost their appetites. They said it was an independent living facility but the staff said it was ALF; you will be told what you want to hear. They look for ways to add services (Brookdale home health visits, therapy, etc.) but cannot see obvious health changes. So glad my family member was moved before the condition reached a point where it couldn't be corrected. Plenty of quality facilities in the metro area --- don't put a loved one here!

My father-in-law is in Brookdale Belle Meade, and it's working well. It's clean and homey. They are very accommodating and try to meet his needs. They have games, trivia, art, movies, and weekly outings. They have good food selection. He really likes breakfast, and they will fix breakfast for him at a non-breakfast time.

Brookdale Belle Meade has Bible studies and crafts. There are about seven activities that are offered every day. They serve three meals, two snacks, and more if desired. It's very much a home-like environment, not hospital-like. My mom is in a private room waiting for a shared room, but the shared room has two different rooms with a hallways and a shared bathroom. The staff is very patient, loving, and very good at giving attention.

Brookdale Belle Meade was great. The staff was very helpful. They have memory care and assisted living. They have patios, exercising, and craft rooms, a beauty parlor, a kitchen, and everything you would want. The dining area was like a nice restaurant.

Brookdale Belle Meade is a smaller place. They have 40 rooms and 3 floors compared to some of the others that we were at that had 20-something floors with so many people that kind of overwhelmed my mom, so we went for this smaller place. Other than that, they pretty much offer the same type of service. I think the deciding factor was really just because it was smaller and mom felt comfortable there. My mom hates the food, so that is not great. They do offer activities all day. Sometimes they have an outing after lunch, and then they have dinner, which mom doesn’t like. Then they will have a movie or something after dinner. So the activities are good, and they have plenty. Or they'll do Bingo after dinner.

My mother in-law is in Brookdale, we liked it, and we’re happy with it. We liked the look and just the way they presented themselves as a caring community. The staff seemed caring, patient, and competent. The food was okay, but could be improved.

Brookdale Belle Meade is an excellent choice, and we are very happy with it. Our family member is in the memory care called Clare Bridge, and it's great. They're very hands on. They seem to have more caregivers as opposed to the previous memory care our family member was in, and they seem to be a little bit more aware of what's going on with our family member. She has been there since the end of March. They're more caring, more aware, and they know the family members. It is well run and has a good program. The residents stay very active. They keep them out of their rooms as much as possible. There are two floors with 17 residents on each floor, so it's a very small group of people that they're involved with, so she gets a lot of attention.

I picked a place called Brookdale Belle Meade. My mother has been there since late January. We chose this facility because they have a memory care unit, and it seemed like they were able to handle my mother's advanced dementia. The staff seems very conscientious and compassionate, and I think that they do a good job. Brookdale Belle Meade is comparable to other facilities, and I think that they do a good job of retaining their staff.

We visited this community with my brother for my parents who live in the Bellevue area. The home-like feeling we received was wonderful. We are in the beginning stages of looking for them to transition to Assited living, but this will be our first pick. The community was clean and beautiful and very welcoming.

We're just very happy with Homewood and my mother-in-law is happy there too. They're very good. The best thing about this place is that I think they just really take the time to know you as a person and as a family. I just love the staff. Also the place in itself is beautiful. It is just really nice. The food is excellent. They have a top chef there. They have family night and everybody can come and eat with them once a quarter. We just did that and the food was excellent. The thing that struck the most about this place was the atmosphere. There was something about the warmth there from the first time I saw it. At Homewood, they would re-do the room as the client moves in. My mother-in-law loves her hardwood floors in her home, so they put them in for her in her room and we didn't have to pay extra for that. They are there to please however she wants her room to look. They are there to really make it her own place.

I liked the location of Homewood, the look, the environment and the people that I met. My dad has been there a month. They seemed very caring and they were very responsive to me in answering my questions and calling me back on time and making us feel welcome. They sometimes fell short, but they were always willing to listen and try to improve. I think they’re doing a good job. The rooms are pretty standard and felt very clean. The facility is nicely arranged and my dad likes it. He got a small room because he didn’t feel he needed much more. It had a nice view and had lots of light. My dad complains about the food, though.

Homewood was nicer than the other facility. It was more inviting and on a larger scale. It was very clean and very orderly. They also had nice and accommodating staff. Their rooms were spacious and very clean. I have a lot of sewing machines and stuff and there wasn't enough space in one of their rooms, but they offered to find me a place at the end of the hall for my stuff and I thought that was very accommodating of them. Regarding the kitchen though, it was the same situation as with the other facility, there was just a microwave and a little refrigerator. However, the dining room was beautiful. They would offer snack food from a buffet 24 hours a day and that was nice. In terms of activities, they did have a schedule everyday, sometimes outside the facility and sometimes in. You can choose to participate or not.

We visited Homewood but we feel we're not ready for it. They showed us the accommodations and the dining facilities. You don't cook in your own apartment so the dining facilities are available to you at different times of the day. The showed us the kitchen and the menu. It wasn't brand new but it was nice. The lady we met, Shiela was very accommodating. They have a recreation area and scheduled activities. The area outside is very nice, it's up on a big hill and it's all surrounded by trees and a lake.
