"I enjoyed the warm feeling that I received when I walked into the Life Care Center. The employees were very nice and kind. The facility was very well organized but the only complaint I had was the smell. I do understand that some life care centers may have a smell due to diapers being disposed so I could look past it. I was very impressed that they had a small hair salon for the ladies and gents. I enjoyed dinning in there kitchen area. The selection of there food was fresh and appealing. The kitchen area was very clean and welcoming for a person or persons to enjoy a meal. My Aunt passed away about a month ago in this facility but they made sure she was comfortable, clean and presentable for her family to come in and view her. The facility gave complete privacy along with asking if our family needed anything. I would recommend this facility to anyone that may need personal care for the elderly. "

"I moved my mom to Village Manor. We chose it because it has lower rent, and they have a menu she can choose from. The food is very good, and there is plenty of it. Their dining area and their rooms are large and spacious. It also has a bigger layout and space. The staff is very positive and pleasant. They have activities like games, exercises, and bible study, and they have people come in to sing and play the piano. "

"When you have a family member that has smoked since they were 15 and failed to save $$$ for their final years of life, you are faced with the difficult task of finding a facility they can afford and one that will allow them to smoke. Thank God for Extended Family Care in Manchester, Tn!!! No, it'a not the Ritz, but Rose and her staff have a heart for their patients which far exceeds the decor and surroundings. The patients and staff become a big family and carry each other's joys and sorrows each and every day. No one is forced to smoke, but going outside on the covered deck is like a social time for people to visit. The patients look forward to that time together whether they smoke or not. Regardless of how great a facility and staff are, there will always be those that find fault and are never pleased! Those that are so critical should walk in the steps of a caregiver for the elderly....would definitely sing a different tune! My family supports this facility, Rose, and her staff for all they do for their patients and families...God bless each of you! "

"Grace House is like no other assisted living facility! It is a home, and all staff and residents form a loving and caring family. They provided forever lasting beautiful memories for me and my family. It was an incredibly hard decision to place my family member in a care facility, but once I found Grace House all my guilt and fears subsided and I knew I made the right decision. "As a nurse practitioner I frequently come to Bailey manor visiting my patients. I am always made to feel welcome and the care is exceptional. Everyone's treated like family. And the food is awesome too. "

"Laurel Oaks has a very friendly environment, a competent staff and good food, and it's affordable. They have daily exercise, play games, and, of course, watch TV. "

"Adams Place is extra grand and extra nice. It is gorgeous. This one is a very pampered nursing home, with assisted living and memory care. The complex has been there for a couple of decades now. They just re-did their memory care unit. Their cafeteria and rec room is all one massive room. The eating area is shaped like a big square U, so people can just come over and get whatever they want whenever they want it. You can have your own furniture, which is wonderful. The staff members were great, and the food was excellent. They take residents on field trips, even the people in the memory care section, which is wonderful. I really like that. Also, it is $1,600 cheaper per month."

"The memory care unit at Stones River Manor was much larger than in other places. It appeared to be one large grouping and I'm concerned that my wife would not adapt well to that. Some things they have are very nice, it's a Christian-based organization and it's super in that regard. I met with the director who took me on the tour, and another person there that oversees the patients. This place is my second choice, and all the other professionals I consulted like my doctors, this was their first choice. They are offering about the same activities for memory care as other places, like small group things and craft activities. They have a lovely aviary with a lot of birds in it, they also have an aquarium which I understand is soothing for their clients. I had no misgivings about this place, they were very good. The thing is I was looking for a smaller group setting for my wife. The staff was very caring and nurturing."

"I have toured Tennessee Veterans' Home, they have various stages of care for whatever your person would need. The only staff person that stands out is the lady I've talked to on the telephone quite frequently. She's been really good about following up and getting me the documentation that I need. The staff was fine, they were very professional. They have various rooms depending on what your needs are. Their private rooms were a little small but they were very well-equipped. The atmosphere isn't institutionalized, it's more a family setting or a community setting. They are so much better than the senior places in Memphis, it's not even funny."
