Grace House Residential Home for the Elderly is small and kind of intimate, it felt most appropriate for my sister. I didn't feel like we were paying for services that she was not going to use, so the smaller place suits her better. The person who gave me the tour is the owner, and she was very forthcoming to tell me exactly what would be available to my sister. She gave me her history in the health care field and her reason for starting this home, which made me feel good about the whole thing. She came to visit my sister where she is now, and they had a little interview together, so both my sister and I felt good about that whole situation. The room was just a basic room in a house, it's a small room with an attached half bath, it had a toilet, a sink, and they have a separate walk-in shower for the residents to use for their safety. It's like a 12x12 room with a lavatory and toilet attached to the room. They told me their menu for that day and we were perfectly happy with that. They had a typical home dining area that's got a dining table that seats eight. It's right next to the kitchen, it's nothing fancy, and it's just a very home-like atmosphere. There's not so much activities. There are four men and two ladies there now, and a lot of them spend time in their rooms, they have their own TV, and there's a large screen TV in the living area. Occasionally they play bingo and they do cookouts like on holidays and things. The facility is nothing elegant nor fancy, but it's adequate.

Grace House is like no other assisted living facility! It is a home, and all staff and residents form a loving and caring family. They provided forever lasting beautiful memories for me and my family. It was an incredibly hard decision to place my family member in a care facility, but once I found Grace House all my guilt and fears subsided and I knew I made the right decision. My loved one never wanted to leave she loved it so much, lol. Thank you Grace House for all that you do and all your love.
