"I would like to commend the staff of this facility, and I mean every person that my spouse and I had contact with! The care was exemplary, there were several health problems to contend with and each one was addressed with compassion, gentleness, thoroughness and respect. These kindnesses and considerations were extended to myself as well. Also it should be noted that the care of the patient extends to keeping them clean, hair combed and so forth. I would absolutely recommend this facility to anyone in need of compassionate care, be it for physical therapy, speech therapy, or caring for a seriously ill patient. While I hope that your loved one will enjoy strong health, if you ever need caregivers or a facility with the highest standards of care, I highly recommend Gallatin Center for Rehabilitation and Healing."

"My mom is in rehab at NHC Hendersonville. I have mixed feelings about it because you really have to push them. The first week or two that she was in there, they were helping her as much as they should have been therapy-wise. They're very nice and very easy to talk to. However, you just have to keep pushing them to get real results, and that's the only problem I had with them there. Their facility is excellent, clean, and comfortable. There is one problem with the bathroom door: It is too heavy for the people who are in the facility. But other than that, it's really a very nice place. "

"My mom was at Life Care Center for rehab for a week. I think it was a great place, and I was very impressed with them. The rooms were very appealing, they were light, and they had everything that she needed at the time. It was friendly-looking, not depressing. The dining staff was very good. They offer cooking classes, music, singing programs, and people coming in for entertainment. They do the swallowing, but she didn’t have too much trouble with that, and they just took her places like to get ice cream for their activities. I like the way they do things. I like that they are caring. They’re always interested in the residents and if they want to go and get some ice cream, and they’re not able to go that day, they’ll go get it for them. "

"My parent is in a nursing facility called Mayfield Rehab. It is very nice and clean. The people are very friendly. The rooms are nice. My parent is in a locked facility because he has Alzheimer's, so it is not just a nursing home. With regards to activities, they have several activities for all of them, even for Alzheimer's patients. The staff is great. My overall experience with this place is great. It is a good place. "

"Our loved one passed away at the Waters on Saturday. Needless to say, we were apprehensive to select the Waters due to the reviews, but in our situation, we were within a couple of miles and knew we could visit often. From day, one our loved one and our family were treated with respect and dignity. Our loved one suffered from Alzheimer’s and was unable to do anything for herself. She was always clean and fed if we weren’t there to help her. The caregivers, CNA’s, RA, and nurses could not have been more caring. Not just for her, but for us also. There was always hugs. In the last weeks of her life, her caregivers that were working different stations would stop by to visit with us and to check on her.. Not only did we lose our loved one Saturday, but we also lost a little bit of our extended family. So I want to say Thanks You to those that cared for her so gently., gave her hugs, kisses on the cheek, and the I love you’s. You all are appreciated."

"Vanco Health Care and Rehab took care and looked after my mother, and the staff was very efficient. The rooms were not perfect by all means, but they're very clean and in good shape. They have activities outside the rooms, and they were able to go and meet with all the people that's in there, at a certain times they play games, and they also have crafts that they do in the afternoons. There are different type things they do. The community are also in a good location and is accessible. It's a place that's for people that are a little sicker, they don't go out a lot. But they have entertainment all the time, and a preacher comes in and they had a church service. They also have someone come in from another church and sing to them, they had that every Saturday. When we first got there the food was delicious, but the second time they had somebody make the food and it wasn't good."

"I have toured Tennessee Veterans' Home, they have various stages of care for whatever your person would need. The only staff person that stands out is the lady I've talked to on the telephone quite frequently. She's been really good about following up and getting me the documentation that I need. The staff was fine, they were very professional. They have various rooms depending on what your needs are. Their private rooms were a little small but they were very well-equipped. The atmosphere isn't institutionalized, it's more a family setting or a community setting. They are so much better than the senior places in Memphis, it's not even funny."
