The buck gets passed a lot at this place. My husband was sent home twice and each time he fell getting out of the vehicle. And, each time he had to return to the hospital to be checked out. This last visit seemed to be going a little better. He came home today and after a little bit wanted to lie down. As he was attempting to transfer to the bed, his legs collapsed and to the floor he went. I had to call 911 for help. In the meantime, a bedside toilet chair that I specifically told them needed to be installed in the bathroom as there is literally no room on either side of the bed to place it. When the man delivered it today, he brought it in, had me sign a paper, and told me to have a good day! I said, "Wait a minute! This needs to be installed." He said, "We just deliver them." I am disabled and use a wheelchair, but apparently, I'm supposed to install it. My husband loved the nurses, techs, PT, and OT.

Placing my mom in Bethany nursing home was when the real nightmare began. (Oct 22, 2020-Mat27th, 2020) A lady named Kelly would be the thorn in my side. One time I showed up for a scheduled visitation. I was literally less than 5 minutes late. She told me I was supposed to be there 30 minutes early and because I would be disturbing the other visitors I had lost my visitation rights that day!!! Kelly had left me a vm AT the time of my appointment telling me i needed to be there 30 minutes early. She had never said anything about that before. They have you by the balls! My sweet momma is sitting in a room all alone all the time…just like all the other little patients… and I am KEPT from seeing her. A worker that overheard was so disturbed, she showed me the visitor list and there happened to be NO VISITORS at that time. You see, they would have had to get her dressed and ready (which is the true reason they want you there 30 minutes early). That would have been way too much trouble. She declined so fast it was heart wrenching. I would make dr appointments JUST to be able to lay eyes on her, feed her, brush her hair, do her nails and kiss on her. Her nails were always so nasty with thick junk underneath and she seemed to have not been bathed for weeks. My last visitation at Bethany, mom looked different. She was so so weak and frail. Her chair had to be leaned back because she couldn’t even hold her head up. The stupid wheelchair leg was still broken. Moms right leg could not bend from such severe arthritis. When our visitation time was up, the tech was trying to force mom to bend her leg to go into the broken footrest. I LOST it on her. Who does that?? It made me wonder if they are treating my sweet momma like this right in front of me, how the hell is she being treated behind closed doors? Kevin the director called later referring mom go into hospice. I could not believe that in hospice, mom could have up to 4 visitors in her room at all times! I also found out they could stay up to 6 months. I REGRET placing mom in Bethany! I wish I had of placed her in hospice from day one! Here’s the kicker; I’m in the hospice room as the EMT’s are transferring mom into the bed. The lead EMT is sharing mom’s medical history and paperwork with the charge nurse. I overhear him telling her the condition my mom was in when he came into her room to get her. I asked him to repeat what he had just said. He said your mom was lying naked in HER OWN URINE!! I have that scene in my head over and over. I cannot get it out. I haven’t had the energy to deal with this yet, but I will soon. That nursing home has some questions to be answered. Of course….I already know the runaround I will get. They will not take responsibility. My moms story is only one story. My heart freaking breaks for all those sweet little people being “jailed” essentially. I truly regret putting my mom in a nursing home during stupid COVID. There is ZERO accountability.

my dad was recently in bethany because he was having trouble wtih his blood sugar and falling. well they worked with him daily getting his legs stronger---even on the weekends!! AND WOW they actually took the time to study his situation and came to a solution for his insulin intake that basicly eliminates the prospect of low blood sugar----totally upended his former routine for the better!!! we loved everyone at bethany---the nurses and aides were ALL competent and so nice and careing --the ENTIRE staff really---cleaning lady was t he best and the rooms were sparkling clean as was the rest of the facility. i went a few times for BINGO! good fun and also a great time at a sing a long---seemed like the ladies also were enjoying beauty shop day---i really thought the whole place was great!! OH and my dad has not eaten so well in years------three square meals and all the coffee you want! ha ha ha we loved it. he's glad to be home (doing laps around the house with his walker) now he wants a dog (after interacting with uno and todd --bethany dogs) and also his blood sugar is so under control that it's crazy!!! we owe bethany a huge thanks!!!! the only downside------no ESPN ha ha ha (seriously that's not much of a downside ha ha)

My father was in the skilled care area of Bethany for about 2-1/2 weeks before he passed away. It is a top-notch, five-star facility. We had heard that and that was our experience. They did beyond what they told us they would do and cared so beautifully for my dad. We could not have asked for better care. We loved the staff. They underpromised and overdelivered. Everybody there had a beautiful attitude and were very long-term employees with a heart for seniors. Changing diapers or any of that stuff didn't bother them. They were so loving, kind, and gracious to my father and to all of us. The room he was in was a nice, private room. It's an older facility, but it was nice and very clean. It wasn't an updated, beautiful, high-end-looking facility, but what they offered was very high end. Their care was high end.

Bethany Health and Rehab is a complete situation, but we could not afford to keep her there. It was clean and very nice. She has a private room, and the staff was great.

Bethany Health Care Center was wonderful and very nice. The staff was very cordial, nice and they seemed like they cared about the patient. They knew people by name and they were personable. It was just a very nice environment that’s why I wanted to my mother-in-law in there. The place was very clean, I did not smell urine at all.
