I have had my mom in here over two years. The community did go through some changes her first year there but has now had the same management team for a year now. They are very good and work hard for the residents. The staff is kind. Mom was not social for a long time which was a big part of why we moved her. She now has several close friends who look over each other. It’s a beautiful building and great location.

For two years Mom had an Independent Living apartment and recently she moved to an Assited Living apartment. The start was not ideal but there is a new department executives and new staff. We can already see changes and many good things happening. Mom is being well taken care of by dedicated people. We are excited to see the continued improvements.

Please be cautious of this facility. Our family had a loved one who lived in the assisted living portion of Traditions and our experience was far from positive. During our two years with Traditions, we saw management change hands 6 times. There were consistent errors with our loved one’s medication distribution and care. The food quality has declined and housekeeping is irregular. Many residents relocated to other facilities after living at Traditions of Mill Creek. Beware that the sales department will have fantastic communication up until you sign and then management it difficult to contact when there are issues.

I went to Traditions of Mill Creek. I was very well treated. I met with the activities director, who was like the manager of the whole place, and she was lovely. I could tell that they were trying to upgrade it, but it was somewhat small, and it seemed a little cramped. They seemed to be struggling with their care, but I think everyone is. I had one big thing about them and that was that they have had runners, so they have had to put an alarm on the door when you enter as a visitor. Even though you had access all the time, it was like a siren screeching alarm and I felt I wouldn't want my girlfriend to be hearing that. I didn't like that upon entering because it was unnerving. The facility itself was outfitted, but it was kind of dingy. Their outdoor space looked like an afterthought. It was like an area within the center of the place, and it was like you were in a fishbowl. So I didn't particularly warm to that either. The staff who toured me was very wonderful and very willing to share and explain things. They have a camera set up. They were the only facility I saw that had that, and I think they're pioneering it. It's a camera that stays in the room all the time, and it records to a portal that has AI behind it. The AI computer can note stress, anxiety, or disruption, and then that would flag it to their staff at whatever time, and they would go check on the person. I thought that was amazing.

I would be cautious before you decide to put a loved one at Traditions. I know it’s hard to keep staff these days, but it’s a revolving door from the top down. The simplest of things are not done consistently from laundry, housekeeping, wellness reminders and dress. We pay extra for medication assistance which is normal. I was told today that we wanted something for nothing by the head person today which is untrue. We pay $50,000 a year. Please be careful when making that decision to place a loved one there. It’s all about the money. I was reminded by this person twice. No empathy or care at all.

I went to the Traditions of Mill Creek. It was new, it was big, the rooms were big. It offered everything I needed. I don't like the location of it, it's in the parking lot, and I don't like that. There's no greenery around there. I only met one staff member. I saw a workout room and a dining room.

We watched Traditions of Mill Creek being built. My mother is a "Founding Resident" and moved in March 2020. The staff has been very helpful and are concerned about the care and well being of the all the Residence. It has been a tough time dealing with the virus problems but everyone is doing the best they can and keeping everyone safe. The only reason the food is marked down is due the fact that sometimes food has to be served in their rooms. (Mom says it is much better in the 'dinning room"). Would recommend Mill Creek as a place for parents.

My mother is at Traditions of Mill Creek. It's been a bit disappointing. It's a new community, and they just opened the doors in March, right when COVID hit. The staff, although I'm sure they're qualified, like every community probably had to make adjustments to accommodate the families and COVID; the processes were changing daily. The communication was lacking, but they just couldn't adapt with the daily "yes you can do it" or "no you can't" kind of thing. The staff is fine, but they're not adequately staffed. With COVID they probably don't have the people to employ. Mom complains that she has to wait quite a while to go to the bathroom. Although she's in assisted living, she is at the highest care level, and there have been times where they haven't been as responsive when she needed it. They don't have enough people on staff to handle the number of the people they have there, but she's safe, and it's a very nice facility. Everybody has addressed her questions and concerns. There's definitely a disconnect internally of who said what and what they're committing to because they're not all on the same page. A lot of that is because it's a newer facility and they haven't worked out the kinks yet. The activities have been limited because of COVID.

We went to Traditions of Mill Creek. It seemed to be a place that would fit me, it had what I was looking for, and they've got many amenities. They came to my home to pick me up for the tour, they were very nice, and the tour was very nice. It was brand new and was nice. I met the nice staff.
