"Plantation was great, but a decision was made not to move my mother here, but to let her live in Springfield. The staff was very informative, they gave me a tour of the facility and answered any questions I had. The rooms were nice, really nice. They do provide lots of activities -- there were swimming pools, weight rooms, games, all types of activities, dancing, and all that stuff. From what I've heard and saw, I would say it was a five-star. "

"I went to Heritage at Irene Woods. Jill was our tour director, she was very friendly, she introduced me to both staff and residents by name, she said they check on the residents every day. She obviously knew her residents, I met the chef, and I did eat there; the food was very good. They had a bistro as well as a dining room. To me, it can meet every need the residents can possibly have, if they wanna eat light, if they wanna take their food to the room, if they wanna eat in the dining room and socialize. They had gardens, all of the inside rooms all face the gardens. The rooms were carpeted, a full kitchen, very clean. She took me to see three rooms. I was very, very pleased, the furnishings were lovely, the tour was complete, she showed me the exercise room, beauty parlor, and the craft room. They also have a bus that will take the residents to Walgreens, Kroger, and Walmart, to doctors if they make an appointment ahead of time. They have a doctor on staff that's there once a week, but they have nurses on staff all the time. The facilities are beautiful, it looks like a hotel. Any resident that's gonna be living there is not feeling like they're dumped off in an old folk's home. I was extremely pleased."

"I visited Sycamore Ridge Gracious Retirement Living. They were very friendly. The staff took me and showed me the apartment and also showed me the balcony from the apartment and they had the elevators to take us up and down. She's very nice and it's very nice. They have a library and a mailroom. The grounds were very nice."

"Everyone here at StoryPoint Collierville is marvelous. I haven't met anyone that is unkind or indecent. They're all wonderful Christian people and those who take care of us are extremely good. Tim, the director, is an exceptionally good gentleman. I would recommend StoryPoint to anybody that needs help. I have a two-bedroom apartment. I have Meniere's disease, which causes imbalance and the employees are always checking on me to make sure that I'm not going to fall. I enjoy bingo twice a week. There's all kind of physical activities. I have access to the workout room and I ride the bicycle. The food is exceptionally good. I haven't had anything since we've been here since Christmas that wasn't delicious. They have different trips throughout the week scheduled for those of us that want to go. We just sign up and go on the bus to a beer company, to museums, to libraries, and then they take us to Kroger, Walmart and Target for shopping. They have dancing and they have a musical team come in once a week and play our favorite music. It's just wonderful. I can't say enough good things about StoryPoint. They do provide doctor visits. They take us within a 21-mile radius anytime I need to go to the doctor. They have ambulance come and take us to the hospital if we need it. We've got seating areas that we can go and sit out on the front porch and converse with each other and talk to other people. We have a Sunday school class here. We have a minister that comes in and preaches and we have a Wednesday Bible study."

"Embassy Apartments was really nice. It was a gated senior's apartment, so it was pretty secure since they also watch out for each other. The lady who showed me around was polite. She showed me both their one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. The one-bedroom was small and did not have enough closet space. They had a laundry room, TV room, and receiving room. I saw the dining area where they could have functions and the pool."

"Opus East Memphis was very expensive, but it's a very nice place. My godmother was in there. The staff was very helpful. They had very good food. Her room was beautiful. She had a living room, a kitchen, and a bedroom. It was very well kept always. They always had something to do. They had bingo and birthday parties. They celebrate all the holidays with activities."

"My mother law lives in this facility, and it is centralized located within a great radius of my home. This facility is very well maintained and offers great independence to seniors that only need limited assistance with their daily activities. It sports a home like environment and the staff is very efficient and supportive. There are plenty of personal amenities as well as a host of daily actives. My mother law states that it's the next best place to being home. The staff exhibits great concern for the residents keeps the family updated on all health issues. "

"My tour of Avenida Watermarq at Germantown was wonderful. I looked at all the apartments that they had available, and they were all very lovely. They have quite a few amenities there. They have an art class, a pool, and a workout room, which is great. They had an activity that particular day that I was there. It was like music dancing. They had some food and wine, and they called it Wine Down Wednesdays. They had a theme which was Jungle Boogie. They had a lot of active seniors out there dancing. They were having a blast, and it was lively. They looked happy. So that pretty well made my mind up right there. If those 80-plus-year-old people were that active and were moving with the grace of somebody in their 40s, that means that they are following a very good program to keep them healthy and fit like that. The staff members are very nice. I like Linda the most. She's the sales consultant, and she's very personable and very reachable. She and I hit off very well because we had a lot in common. She's very perky, and I immediately loved her. I'll be getting a two-bedroom apartment. They have two-bedrooms and one-bedrooms. They have probably about five plans per bedroom unit, so they have a wide variety of floor plans. I was impressed. And there was another little girl. Her name is Victoria and she's actually in charge of the activities. She is the perkiest little thing. She is very lively, and she keeps those seniors lively. "
