I visited this facility

I went to Brookdale Dogwood Creek. The person doing the tour was fine, and the staff seemed very knowledgeable. The memory care seemed a little closed off compared to the other places. The rooms were not as big as the ones that my mother is in now. I didn't really get to observe any activities, but they have a main room where most of the patients congregated in.

I toured Brookdale Dogwood Creek. I liked it very much. There wasn't anything I liked least. The reason we chose the other facility was because they would accept him there. He needed both physical therapy and cognitive assistance. He needs some mental care, and he also has some deep tissue wounds that kept him out of some of the licensed places. He was not eligible to go to any places. The staff was nice and lovely. The food was delicious. The facility was very clean. The room sizes were lovely. It's a very cheerful place.

We toured Brookdale Dogwood Creek. The apartments are very nice. My brother had a chance to get an apartment with the garage, but it was only offered until the end of that month that we toured and he had not made up his mind yet, so he didn't go with them, but the staff is excellent. The dining room is excellent. They have good facilities. We met quite a few of the different staff members and they all seemed very nice and the residents really enjoy living there. It was a little more rundown. It's not as new, but they were doing some upgrades not too long after we were there. It's a nice facility. The food was excellent, and they had quite a large menu to choose from.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I like the position of my apartment in Brookdale Dogwood Creek. I like having a small garage and a nice open patio for my plants. I like the floorplan. There is lots of storage and a nice-size kitchen. I haven't taken advantage of the conveniences of their meals and all the amenities that they offer for seniors like church and that sort of thing. But everybody has been very helpful. I can't say anything negative about the staff. They're very friendly. The dining area is restaurant-style with tablecloth, cut cloth, and napkins, that sort of thing. They have a chef who is an Iron Chef who beat Bobby Flay. I don't know who could beat everything that they offer. The grounds are beautiful. They're modern. They're up to date with decorating, and I'm kind of particular about that. It's magazine-style decoration. With regard to value for money, all the rates are different for different people but my particular rate is very good for what I'm getting.

My dad moved into Brookdale Dogwood Creek. They were close to home. They're very thorough. They're well-staffed. And they made everything easy. They have daily activities. They exercise for him. He likes to walk and they have a walking path. They have a little courtyard there to walk around in. The rooms are very comfortable. They are large rooms, larger than I expected. The staff has been very willing to accommodate and help us in any way if necessary. They've got good people there. They pay a lot of attention to the residents and make sure they're taken care of. It's a pretty awesome place.

I live at Brookdale Dogwood Creek. We were impressed when we first came in. Everything was up to par. It was clean. The food was good. There's just a large selection. They have like four different entrees you can pick from. It's prepared well and it's good. They offer a lot of activities, but they haven't really offered anything that I'm interested in personally. My wife plays bingo and she's a little active, but personally, I'm not. The staff is great. Everybody has just bent over backwards to do whatever we've asked.

Our tour of Brookdale Dogwood Creek was excellent, and the marketing person was very good. It's very good and very thorough. However, it's very extended, so mobility is an issue. The facility is quite large and very extended. Its condition though is excellent. Overall, we like it very much. It's very clean and very well kept up.

Brookdale Dogwood Creek was a beautiful facility and nice, but it was very expensive. It was out of my uncle's price range, too. The salesperson spent more time talking about herself and her daughter than she was concerned about talking to me. She also put me off. I was there for an appointment, and somebody that she knew walked in the door right after me. She saw me sitting there but she took that person and talked to him (it was her dentist) and she left me sitting there, so I was not impressed. I had been there before for a meal, and the food was very good. It was excellent. The facility was really beautiful and offered a lot.

Brookdale Dogwood Creek was a wonderful facility. Everything was very up-to-date and very clean. The staff that we spoke with were all very courteous. We felt like everyone generally had my father's best interest at heart. They were very thorough in questioning us about his current situation and were very helpful in answering any questions that we had as well. They have a beautiful indoor swimming pool that has a ramp that goes down into the water as well as stairs and a lift available for residents who need that. They have a walking trail. They have a putting green and a bocce ball court. They have a room that's set up as a movie theater. They have happy hours and games on different nights of the week. It was pretty much an all-inclusive community. It was almost like being on a cruise ship that never sails. There were just a ton of activities and different areas where residents could go to pretty much participate in any hobby that they had. The menu was very expansive. Their dining facilities were set up almost restaurant style, where you have a menu that has things that are available all the time as well as daily specials. They had just about every type of food that could meet many different types of dietary needs. There was a wide variety of options. It was a top-notch facility.

We were very impressed with Brookdale Dogwood Creek. It was kind of new and looked very nice. The administrator was the one who took us on the tour. The rooms were small, but they looked like they would be fine. There was a library, a swimming pool, a workout room, a craft room, and nice patio areas.

Our number two choice was Brookdale Dogwood Creek. It was extremely nice. They had well-laid-out walking trails. The staff was very helpful. She answered all of our questions. She went above and beyond to help us find a place. But we couldn't take it because it was too expensive. They had a book club, game nights, and a pub room where the guys could get together. The room that we wanted would have been perfect. It had a closed-in patio for our dogs and an attached garage, which you never find in an independent living community. The apartment was smaller than the one we have now, but it was still a two-bedroom and two-bath.

We did a tour of Brookdale Dogwood Creek. That was actually our top choice. They were super friendly, and very helpful. The price point was a little bit higher upon talking to the people, and they admitted it was a little bit more expensive than the price point that I had initially requested, so it wasn't going to be a viable option for us, but it was a really great facility. We were immediately greeted by someone. They were aware that we had an appointment. They took us back, gave us a tour of the facility, and let us interact with some of the people that stayed there so we could see the kind of activities that they do. The director that we met, she was extremely helpful, and answered all of our questions very, very accurately. So overall, it was a great experience touring that facility. The living quarters, I believe all of them were single person facilities. They did have everything safely blocked off in terms of the exit. There are alarms that would go off if the person were to accidentally exit the facility, and plenty of attendants around. They showed us the food area, and what people were being served; everything was very fresh looking. So overall, everything was very good in that regard.

I would rate Brookdale Dogwood Creek very high. They have been wonderful, very supportive, and very, very good to my father-in-law and our family. He is in the memory care, and his room is great. It's a nice size. It's got a twin bed, a little desk, a rocking chair, a separate closet, a nice bathroom that's large enough to get a wheelchair in, and a shower that is very large. I got him a shower chair and all that good stuff too. They clean his room all the time. You walk in and it just looks like you're going to a hotel. It's just really, really nice and upscale. They have a patio with tables and chairs, and there is a garden area. It's been so hot lately, so we haven't gone out there. He has a large picture window in his room that points out to the patio and everything.

Brookdale Dogwood Creek was very nice, except the floors or the carpet were not very clean. I didn't like places that were not very clean. The staff members seem to know their job description. It seemed to be well-thought of and I thought the amenities were a nice variety. I like the looks or appearance of the outside, and other things they had to offer like outings, taking you places, and having the place for Sunday worship, and the amphitheater. I think the rooms were small and the closets too were kind of small. It was located in a good place for our children to get to and visit. It was just a good location.

I went to Brookdale Dogwood Creek. I was very pleased with it. They were very friendly, it was very clean, and they gave me a very nice tour. I saw everything. They sent out information to my mom. That's the one I will take my mom to see. The independent living has a full kitchen, it's carpeted, and I thought it was very, very nice. They actually have food trucks that come on Fridays. They have different, parties like they were getting ready for a Memorial Day grill party out on the patio. They took field trips with the residents. They took them to Kroger, Walgreens, Walmart, and Dollar Tree by bus. They would have field trips, like to go to the zoo or a museum. It was hard because they're just coming off of COVID restrictions, so they didn't have a lot of things scheduled. She ended up telling me kind of what they had done in the past, so I was able to gauge what the activities would be according to what they had been before. It was very upscale, very friendly, and very clean, and the furnishings were lovely and very welcoming.

My mother moved into Brookdale Dogwood Creek. It's a very nice place, but my mother wasn't happy. She doesn't want to be in the position she's in because the lock-down happened shortly after she moved in. But I'm OK with it. The staff's great. I have no problems with them, I think they're doing the best job they wanted to do. The food sucks, and they kind of sold us on the food. It looks good, but we haven't ordered off of a menu since February or March, and my mother complains about the food. She can't even tell what the meat looks like. They finally opened a salon in there, she got her hair cut, and she loved that. So I'm about to call, but I have to wait until tomorrow ('cause the girl, they're only there to cut three days a week) to make a regular appointment so she gets to do that every week, 'cause I'm the one paying for it. Her room is really nice, she's got a two-bedroom, a living area, and a bedroom area.

Brookdale Dogwood Creek is the place we selected for my mom. We are still in the process of moving, but they have made it a wonderful experience and accommodated us in every way they could. My mom is qualified for assisted living but because she is recovering from a stroke, we are going to start out in memory care. The energy and the focus that they have on people with special needs is amazing. She has aphasia and not dementia, so she is very aware of what's going, and they were able to grasp all of it. She knows what's going on, it's just communicating back her words are scrambled, so it is mistaken for dementia or Alzheimer's, but it's actually not and the person is very well aware of what's going on. They were able to grasp that. The staff has just bent over backwards. Honestly, they're very focused on the people that live there and what's best for them. I'm forever grateful for that. Their food is delicious. We actually looked at the facility before her stroke, and I have looked at a lot of property, so I'm very impressed. There's a lot of energy, that's why I was choosing the memory care from Anthony who is the activities director on the memory care side. They're just very focused on keeping everybody going, especially with COVID-19. They're just very focused on taking care of people. They also know the people that are living there; they know them by name, and that's a big deal because a lot of facilities I go to don't seem like they know the patients. These people know them by name and it's very impressive. The food is good. The cleanliness is a five and the layout is a four.

My mother is a resident of Brookdale Dogwood Creek. The staff is very friendly. I feel like they're taking care of her because she's always dressed appropriately and seems happy when I visit. They can always give me an updated report on what's going on with her. It's a beautiful community and the staff is well-trained. I'm confident that they're giving the care that my mother needs, and the residents are always engaged. She's on a shared suite, and she and her roommate each have separate bedrooms that are spacious. Her bedroom has a chair and a large closet, they have a large bathroom that they share, but each one has her own vanity. The community also have private rooms, an indoor swimming pool, a nice fitness center and a beauty salon on site. They take the residents out weekly, and they have specific activities for the memory care.

Brookdale Dogwood Creek is excellent and clean. They have assisted living and memory care. The dining area is excellent and there's a lot of variety and choice in the food. I visited this facility

Brookdale Dogwood Creek is a pretty nice place, but it's more like a hotel to me. You take an elevator up to your room and go down the halls like hotel rooms. I didn't like that at all. They had a lovely dining room and lovely areas to sit in, but everything was kind of segregated. It didn't have a warm communal feeling about it. It's like a high-rise apartment building without a feeling of home or freedom. The people were nice and friendly. The food was good and the dining area was lovely. My friend's room is small but adequate. It's an attractive building, but I would never want to live in a high rise.

My dad chose this community. He exercises in the fitness center, he practices golf, and they have several theater activities that he participates in. My dad has driving privileges, so he can drive himself to where he wants to go. They serve 3 meals a day. The staff was very accommodating and very easy to deal with. They have services to take them to doctor?s appointments. I?m completely satisfied with them so far.

This community was the closest place to where my daughter works. The food was very good. They had happy hour two days a week, bingo two nights a week, movies, sewing, and knitting. They had two large buses and a small van that take people out. It was brand new. It was perfectly situated in our old neighborhood, so we had a lot of company. They had every amenity known to man including a huge salt water indoor pool and a good workout room.

They are excellent, and the staffs were more than professional and kind with my mother and me. The facilities are excellent, and it will be a great place for them. It is fantastic, and I'm very pleased. The rooms and apartments were fabulous and good. We didn't actually see any activities, but we looked to the schedule of events that were coming up, like some of the trips that were planned and some of the evening events, but we did not participate because my mother felt bad while we were there. We had to leave, and they were absolutely fantastic assisting us.

This is the one that we really liked the most; that's why we moved in here. It is new, very clean, very neat, and the people are super. The staff is very helpful. They introduced us to their activities. Their dining room is very nice, and their food is very good. The rooms are a little small, but the rest of it makes up for it. Here, if your mate develops Alzheimer's or dementia, they will take care of it right here. There are about 150 apartments in the independent and assisted living, and there are about 40 in the memory care.

It is a very nice facility. They have a wine bar, a pool, a spa, and exercise rooms in the independent living part. They have a lot of amenities there. We're just concerned that for my mom, she'd probably would not be making it in independent living for very long. She really needs to go to the assisted care section. Medication management is the main thing that we're requiring.

I moved both my parents into this community. I thought it was just absolutely fabulous. When I first went in there, I thought, "Oh my gosh, this looks like a cruise ship." I have never seen anything like it. The care is assisted living and assisted living and memory care. There are pianos everywhere. They would call my dad a lot when somebody didn't show up or something and he would play the piano. He loves it. My mom is in memory care and then my dad is in the assisted living part. They're not in the same apartment, but he is with her for hours every single day. All the apartments are nice. They have a lot of different apartments depending on how much room you need and how much you want to spend. Down in the memory care, the apartments are not large. The bathroom is really wide, wide enough for wheelchairs. It has a huge shower so that they could just stand there and bathe the residents. My mom's room has a single bed with a nightstand and a lift chair. She has a regular size dresser and a television. There is a huge floor-to-ceiling window, which is really nice because you can open the wooden blind and just let the natural light come through. My dad's room has a kitchenette but no stove. He has a microwave in there. It is very nice. He has a living room area, which is plenty for him, and a great bathroom. In his bedroom, he has a double bed, a computer desk, a highboy, and two closets. So there's ample room in there. I get along great with the working staff. I think they're great. They just have a gift and love for it. They're just wonderful. If there are any problems, you can go to the nurse or to the director in that area with your issues and it gets corrected. We have a really hard time with my mom trying to get up and go to the bathroom by herself, and she would fall and hit her head every time. So they got a toileting schedule for every four hours. They didn't come in and ask her if she needed to go to the bathroom, they just took her. The food there is outstanding. They do not allow any canned foods. Everything is cooked fresh and purchased fresh. They have a two-page menu everyday. They'll come out and try to give them what they want. They have a lot of sugar-free desserts. They don't put much salt in their food. They have lots of fresh fruits, lots of fish, and chicken. There's always a hamburger or cheeseburger available if that's what you want.

Everything was nice. The staff there was very nice and caring. I think that everybody was super there. However, we did not like their apartments. They were like 1200 to 1300 square feet. Their apartments were not big enough for my parents. They were not ready to live in that small place. Another thing we didn't like was that there was no skilled nursing care available there.
