"The place is nice. It has facilities to take the patients places like to the doctor and the shopping center. Also, as your needs increase, you can still stay at Walking Horse but you'll be moved to a different area where they offer more care. They also allow outside people to come in and give extra help. "

"Hometown Manor in Russellville is great. They had an easy move-in process, are really welcoming, and really tried to get to know my mother-in-law right away. It's a very small community. I think there are 17 residents in total, so it's very individualized. She said it's sort of a big family. The staff is very caring, very personable, and really attentive. They have games, movies, outings, holiday celebrations, and a little bit of everything. They also have outdoor spaces."

"My mother had an apartment set up at Charter Senior Living of White House, but she never got to move in. It's really nice and brand new. Everything was very clean and very modern. The staff was very caring. Every time we went in there, the staff was always asking us, "How's your mom doing?" They knew she was in rehab. We think very highly of them, but there was a lot of confusion as far as admitting my mother. There was a lot of delay in the paperwork. I had to get a second plan of care from the doctor because it had expired. As far as administration part of it, they were very unorganized. They didn't talk to each other. We didn't ever actually get to the nursing part or even the techs. It's a beautiful facility."

"Grace Manor Assisted Living was a very nice facility. Everything was almost new. I was going to put my wife in there, unfortunately they don't have a memory care unit. She has Alzheimer's. They also said they couldn't communicate with her, so they couldn't accept her there. "

"The staff was at Jubilee Hills Goodlettsville was very sweet. The place is new, and they had a lot of options, it's a really good facility. They have a lot of options in terms of activities on every floor for their patients or residents. The staff who gave the tour was very sweet, very knowledgeable, she answered any questions that I have, and was very accommodating. We were going to have lunch and let my mom tour the facility, but we kind of missed that opportunity, but the menu looks really good. They were very clean and they have very accommodating facilities for all disabilities. Some of the rooms come with a patio, you can pay a little extra to have an actual patio in your room. They have also a family gathering-type patio in the front door. There are several areas at the front door for residents to sit outside and look around and socialize. The rooms are very spacious, very nice, and very new. They're handicapped accessible, the bathrooms are huge with step-in showers, it's very, very spacious and very nice."

"This is not a facility, it is a home. My mother lived here for two months under the care of hospice. We were there with her daily. The staff is very caring. It was beautiful watching them interact with the residents. The other residents were also very kind and welcoming to our entire family. The atmosphere is very relaxed, without sacrificing excellent care. The home is gorgeous. It is convenient to Hendersonville, Gallatin, Goodlettsville, and White House, yet you feel like you are in the country. Our family loved the comfortable elegance this home exudes. During a difficult time, we were able to relax and enjoy being together. There are so many areas to sit and visit, both inside and out. The meals are excellent. My mom's dietary needs changed as her illness progressed and the chef went out of his way to help her and provide alternate solutions. Near the end of life they set up a very comfortable cot in her room so a family member could stay at all times. They not only provided exceptional care for my mother, but constantly tried to make sure our family had everything we needed. I can't recommend them enough. "

"They could not keep my Dad from getting outside on a busy road. They do have a special floor for Alzheimer's Residents with a locked door. But he was not watched close enough because he went out as someone was coming in. This happened at least 3 times so we had to take Dad out. "

"The Neighborhood at Hopkinsville was very nice, very homey, and clean. Everyone said hello. The residents and the staff both were very friendly. The administrator, Donna, was extremely nice and very informative. She answered every single question. She made my mom feel really welcome and that it was gonna be OK, because my mom doesn't really want to do this. I liked the fact that she's created an atmosphere of home instead of a nursing home. They get to decorate their doors, and they get to decorate how they want. We got there at lunchtime and we were commenting about the food, that it smelled so good, and she goes, "Yes, I have a director of food and beverage that makes everything from scratch. She doesn't believe in opening cans." We heard from many residents that the food is extremely good. The only thing that I didn't like was it's on kind of a busy street at the corner, but it's not that big of a deal. The administrator asked what exactly my mom would need, and my mom is not really bad. She needs medication reminders and she needs someone in the bathroom when she takes a shower in case she falls, and that's about it. There are other people she said that need a person with them at all times, so it ranges from everything that they need help with all the way up to they're just living there and they just kind of watch them. Mom just needs mild assisted living. The staff all came up and introduced themselves. Mom didn't try the food, but she was offered because she said she was getting shaky because she hadn't eaten. The administrator offered her a plate of food and my mom refused it, but she did get a bag of chips and some water. The administrator went and got that for her. They have a courtyard to sit in, a living room with a real fireplace, games, and books, and a quiet room where you could go and sit and contemplate, and there are books in there and a computer. They have little alcoves where you can sit by yourself. It's very, very homey in a lot of the common places where they can have their family with them. They even have a big dining table so that when families come to visit they can eat at that table instead of in the dining room with everybody else. It was very nice."
