Independent Living Communities in Clarksville, TN

"I visited the Holiday Uffelman Estates. It's an independent living community, but they have a program that will allow assisted living services to come in. The place was nice. They weren't as big as the others, but the cleanliness was good, and they were doing some remodeling. The reason I didn't pick it was because they didn't have assisted living, and we had to hire somebody to do that. The person who took me around did a great job. Meals were also included, and I believe it was three times a day."

"I like The Villages at the River Club. First of all, it's updated and clean, and they are very accommodating. The people are friendly. They try to help you in every way they can. The apartments are spacious and they will meet your needs. They supply the appliances plus a washer and dryer in your own room. The meal looked pleasant and appetizing. They have all kinds of places to go and even outside. Mom would have a little patio (because she will be on the main floor). Every time I've had to talk to the lady in charge, she was very prompt and got back to me quickly on any questions I had and was able to answer every question I was asked. My mom enjoyed it there. It was very organized and very pretty."

"We recently lost our Dad but we were so very happy he lived at Jubilee House. He enjoyed lots of company and really loved his little apartment. He often said how much he liked living there. The aides and nursing staff were very good and gave him comfort that he would always have help when needed. The facility is top notch and the food was good as well. The staff were attentive when we spoke to them about any issues at all. They showered him with love and care. "

"My father will be moving to Fieldstone Place's assisted living in Clarksville. I visited the place and it's like a resort. They have lots of activities, and it's very clean. They do a lot of care there, and it's just a great place. He will have a refrigerator, a microwave, and a sink, so basically, a kitchenette. The only thing we will supply will be the bedding and some tables for him. They will get 3 meals a day. They also have a gym and a rehab center. They do activities for the 4th of July and a bunch of other occasions."

"I toured Arcadia Senior Living Clarksville. They are very invested in their people. It is a very clean, updated, safe environment. It is not on a main highway. My husband and I would move in there in a heartbeat if we were of that age, it's exactly what we were looking for. The staff was very helpful and very nice. They interacted with people as we were walking around. They knew everybody's names. Somebody needed some help while we were there, and they paused for a moment and gave them their assistance, so they are very hands-on. Everything was very clean, everything was very up-to-date, and everything was in a very nice livable condition. No updating that needed to go on. They also have a library, a gym, and outdoor spaces."

"I really liked Christian Care Communities of Hopkinsville. My wife didn't like the size of the shower (it was somewhat small), and the fact that it only had a one-car garage and just a single drive. If you had two cars, you had to park one behind the other one in the garage, so that would've been a little bit aggravating getting in and out. I liked the fact that it only had a certain monthly payment that included our tax, insurance, maintenance, and utilities. That way, I pretty much knew how much I was going to have each month to pay. It was very clean. When someone moves out, they completely renovate the house, refurnish it, and update it before the next one moves in. It'll be all new. We looked at pretty much just the houses that were available. We didn't try the food, but they serve meals there."
