"The nurses at NHC cared for my Papa in his final days as if he was a member of their own family. When he passed, they delicately took care of him and left a rose on his body. I would recommend this place to anyone who asked. The nurses showed my family and I incredible compassion during our last few days with my Papa, and brought in snacks for us while we stayed with him everyday for almost 2 weeks. Thank you so much, NHC!"

"I found visiting this nursing home facility to always be a pleasant experience. The staff was all pleasant, patient, and friendly to the residents. Speaking of the residents, they all usually seemed awake and aware (unlike at the other nursing home I mentioned previously). We would always have a good sized crowd at the church services the men from the church I attend provided, and the staff even allowed one member to have a pet there. It was a cat, and they had a small thing in the back for it to live, and it was allowed to come inside sometimes too. I'm not sure if this was something they always did or if it was an exception, though, but I thought it was nice. The building was nice and spacious with a special room just for church services. The food looked fine, and the inside of the building looked and smelled clean. It even looks manicured around the building outside. "

"My husband needed specialized care and therapy after a 2 week stay in the hospital. This was so unexpected and we did no research as we had no time, we needed a place to go that would be central to all our family members and Dickson NHC was just that. When we arrived, I was very pleased with the atmosphere. It seemed like a hotel to me. Of course, we were there mainly to get IV medication and physical therapy so that my husband could return home again. He had lost all strength in his arms and legs and was in intense pain. We couldn't have asked for a better place. The nurses were kind, compassionate, caring of our concerns. The social workers were on top of things and the nurse practioner was always helping us with getting the right medications. I was able to stay in the room with my husband, they brought me a rollaway bed and we were allowed to bring our little puppy dog with us. She hadn't been away from us ever and she was in shock for the 3 weeks that we were in the hospital. So, as long as I kept her from attacking the staff (she's 5 pounds) and took her out to do her business, she was allowed to stay. They made us as comfortable as they could under the stressful situation we were in. The psysical and occupational therapy helped my husband (even when he didn't want the help as he was in extreme pain). They helped him get his strength back and at the end of a month he was able to walk quite a ways with a walker. That's pretty good for someone who couldn't turn over by himself in bed when he first arrived. All in all, I couldn't be more pleased with the facility and every staff member-from all departments. Everyone was kind, compassionate and helpful. I thank God for everyone of the people who helped us in our time of need. Thank you all and may God bless you. "

"My stay at Life Care was terrific! Rooms clean, food good, but most important was the compassionate care I got from all the nurses and aids. A special thanks to nurse director MARY who never failed to smile at me and give me a warm hug. I would recommend Life Care to everyone."

"My mother is in rehab at Hillcrest Healthcare Center. Physical appearance is fine. It's not a new facility, but it's clean and well-kept. Everyone is very nice and professional. They are probably short-staffed. I don't know what level of staffing they have or if they're actually looking for people to hire, but they're all really busy. Just based on what they bring to my mother, they have a variety in the menu. They do repeat some of the items quite frequently, but she eats the food. The food smells good. They bake cookies, and the spaghetti that she had the other night smelled really good. She ate most of that. The only therapy she gets is what they do in her room like walking to the door, some exercises, standing, sitting, and that type of thing. The rooms are fine and spacious, maybe a little cramped if they have two people in there."

"My friend moved into The Meadows. This is the only facility that can take care of her long-term medical needs. It is a very nice place. They have a gorgeous view out a sun room of the hills out there. The staff is all very polite. I met a couple of the residents and they are very satisfied with this place. You walk in there and you feel like you're at home. Everything smells wonderful and clean."
