Nursing Home Communities in Centerville, TN

"My wife is in Life Care Center of Centerville. It is a rehab type home and lockdown facility where she can be protected. We put here there because she was falling a lot and needs headgear around the clock. I think the staff is doing an excellent job. They seem to be taking care of my wife. She fell about 4 or 5 times, and they made sure that there was nothing badly wrong with her. Since then, they have been very aware of that, and she has not been having falls for the last several months. "

"My husband was in AHC Lewis County for 10 months. It was okay, but it wasn't great, and it was an average community. His room was cramped, but the staff was pretty decent, there's just not enough of them. The food was average. They need more training."

"We've already found a place for my mom. We had to put her in NHC Healthcare. Everybody is just super nice, the facility is very clean, and we couldn't ask for a better place. They do Bingo, church, and exercise programs. Other people come in and do special activities for them, so there are some other things. I have eaten actually in the dining area myself, and it is very nice. I like most that they give their patients' choices, like they get to choose their own meals for the day. They are not limited to one meal, but they have a selection that they can choose from. If they don't like what is offered, there are alternatives. They can order a certain meal if they don't like what is provided, and there is no extra charge for that. "

"I found visiting this nursing home facility to always be a pleasant experience. The staff was all pleasant, patient, and friendly to the residents. Speaking of the residents, they all usually seemed awake and aware (unlike at the other nursing home I mentioned previously). We would always have a good sized crowd at the church services the men from the church I attend provided, and the staff even allowed one member to have a pet there. It was a cat, and they had a small thing in the back for it to live, and it was allowed to come inside sometimes too. I'm not sure if this was something they always did or if it was an exception, though, but I thought it was nice. The building was nice and spacious with a special room just for church services. The food looked fine, and the inside of the building looked and smelled clean. It even looks manicured around the building outside. "

"My husband needed specialized care and therapy after a 2 week stay in the hospital. This was so unexpected and we did no research as we had no time, we needed a place to go that would be central to all our family members and Dickson NHC was just that. When we arrived, I was very pleased with the atmosphere. It seemed like a hotel to me. Of course, we were there mainly to get IV medication and physical therapy so that my husband could return home again. He had lost all strength in his arms and legs and was in intense pain. We couldn't have asked for a better place. The nurses were kind, compassionate, caring of our concerns. The social workers were on top of things and the nurse practioner was always helping us with getting the right medications. I was able to stay in the room with my husband, they brought me a rollaway bed and we were allowed to bring our little puppy dog with us. She hadn't been away from us ever and she was in shock for the 3 weeks that we were in the hospital. So, as long as I kept her from attacking the staff (she's 5 pounds) and took her out to do her business, she was allowed to stay. They made us as comfortable as they could under the stressful situation we were in. The psysical and occupational therapy helped my husband (even when he didn't want the help as he was in extreme pain). They helped him get his strength back and at the end of a month he was able to walk quite a ways with a walker. That's pretty good for someone who couldn't turn over by himself in bed when he first arrived. All in all, I couldn't be more pleased with the facility and every staff member-from all departments. Everyone was kind, compassionate and helpful. I thank God for everyone of the people who helped us in our time of need. Thank you all and may God bless you. "

"I live in Texas, but my sister has been in Hidden Acres for about a month and a half. Our brother visits her everyday and he is so impressed with how they take care of our sister. He also said all of the other patients are taken care of as well. He doesn't understand how anyone can give them a bad rating. So as far as our family goes we are giving them five stars for everything. Keep up the great work. God will bless you for taking care of his angels. "
