"The Lodge at Natchez Trace was a good community. When you walked in, it had a good community feel. We really liked everything about it. The reason we didn't choose it was it wasn't close to any of us. It would have been like a 45-minute drive to the closest sibling. My experience with the staff was really good. We liked all the staff. They were good. They had a movie room, an outdoor seating area, and kind of like a bar area too. Everything was clean and nice. They were just a little bit on the older side."

"We toured The Rivers at Maryland Farms. We went into one of the rooms. The people were very helpful and very kind. It was very clean and updated. The room size was good. The area was great. My father really liked that one, but the other one is closer to where all their doctors are, the hospital and all that, so he wanted to stick with that one because of that. The dining area was awesome. It was wonderful. Their price was reasonable, and the parking situation was great. It was really convenient."

"Overall, everything is good at Belmont Village Green Hills. We are having some trouble with bathing because my mother refuses a lot of times. We need to find someone that can coax her or help her get in the shower. We are dealing with that right now, which I'm not too happy about because part of the reason we have her there is to take care of those daily needs. Communication is poor with that. We don't know when my mother refuses, and I want to know one time or whatever, but when it is more frequently, I would like that to be communicated to the family so that we can work on a plan with the staff. We ate with my mother several times. Food was pretty good. I think that's fine. It looked like a good variety and good size servings. They have a variety of activities too. They're going to work on some therapy with my mother like memory type things. They call it physical therapy, but it was more like stimulation and memory games. They're starting to work with her on that, and we are anxious to see if that helps her. "

"I'm new to assisted living, so, when I arrived here on Saturday I had no idea about what to expect. But I have been pleasantly surprised by everyone and everything I have encountered. One thing I was worried most about, was food. i had spent 3 months in an assisted living/rehab Center and the food was awful, I lost 30 #'s there. Every meal here has been great. There's so much to do here that the day's are full of fun things to do, or if you just want to hang out in your room you can."

"My parents are in Creekside at Three Rivers. They have very nice accommodations. There is space for the 2 of them together in 1 apartment. They’re happy with the meals. Everything -- so far -- has been very good. The thing we like the best is we could get the 2 of them together in the same apartment. They have been there for about 2 months now. "

"What I didn't like about Morning Pointe of Spring Hill was the lack of availability for two bedrooms. What I liked the best about the place was the staff, the people, and the home-like environment. They were kind, personable, welcoming, and resourceful. They offer activities. They have courtyards that are indoor and outdoors, laundry facilities, and transportation to and from doctor's appointments. It's a small community, but they have a lot of amenities. I would rate their amenities a 4 and a 5 for their facilities because some things you have to pay for are not included."

"My mother is at the Reserve at Spring Hill. They're very, very attentive in terms of the nursing care, and very responsive. The facility itself is very well maintained and immaculately appointed. It's a beautiful place to be. My mom is there for physical therapy, and once she gets back to baseline, she's out of there. We've not explored all that there is to do there because she's not going to be a permanent resident there. She's there to get physical therapy, to be cared for while she's there, in terms of being bathed and fed and all of that. The dining area is very, very nice, but I don't know a lot about it because they bring her her meals as if she were in a hospital setting in bed. She's not 100 percent thrilled with the food that she's receiving. I think it's because she's kind of spoiled and I've been bringing her meals that I prepare myself, and she's a little biased. They're experts and professional and just so attentive and friendly and go the extra mile. I can't say enough about them. I'm very pleased. They're definitely aggressively on top. The facility is immaculately maintained. The rooms are private and spacious."

"My father has been a resident at Willow Spings for almost 3 years. From day one we have had the best medical care, nurses, caregivers, and constant communication with all the the staff. They have guided us as a family in decision making for the care of our father and kept him in the decison making process with us in medical care. I highly recommend this facility for anyone looking for the most excellent care for their family member. The staff and residents have become part of our own family and for this I am truly blessed! "

"My mother-in-law really likes Southern Care. She has been there about six weeks now. The facility is clean. The food is excellent. It is affordable. We pay a certain amount of money every month and they would take care of giving her her medicine, bathing her, doing her laundry, etc. Whereas in the other places we looked at, they wanted like $500 more to a month just for the management of her medication and another couple of dollars a month to help her with her bathing. My mother-in-law has a nice room. In this place, if you want your room painted a different color, you just take the paint up there and they'll paint the room for you. You can also bring your own furniture or they have stuff that you can use there. Their staff is excellent. They remember you. I can ask anything for them to do and they would do it. They're all so cheery and friendly. Finally, they don't have a big turnover of employees. "

"We visited Somerby Franklin's independent living, and I'll give them top marks. We like the area and the facility. We also like the amenities, the pool, and the food plan."

"We have chosen Maristone of Franklin. My wife hasn't moved in yet, but we're getting close. I think it is an excellent facility. It's nice and clean. The staff works together. The executive director, the director of nursing, and the other staff members work seamlessly together. They are a very well-coordinated team. They have a culinary director managing the food, and most of the employees eat there because it's so good. What I tasted was very good as well. They prepared a meal for me as well, which was delicious. Their facilities are excellent. I understand they have remodeled, maybe in the last year or two, and so the facilities are nice. The parking is nice, too. They seem to have adequate parking. I've visited them and talked with different people, and everybody seemed welcoming. I'm not a stranger to them. They call me by name."

"Fountains of Franklin is a brand-new facility. It was built about one to two years ago close to the hospital, and it's a very nice place. The rooms are really nice and big with nice carpeting. They have lots of activities in an activity room. I remember there was a 90th birthday party in one of the rooms, which was really nice. The staff was really good, and I thought it was all really nice, very bright, and gave me an impression of a happy place. I really liked that one. "

"My sister-in-law is doing good at Life Care Center of Columbia. The staff has kept me informed, and I had one thing that happened and they corrected it very quickly. They have invited us all for Thanksgiving dinner. She says regarding the food, three days are good, and two days are not as good. They play bingo, and she was doing exercises, but she's gone into the long-term care, and it's different over there. I don't think they take her to the exercise room, but they still go to bingo and painting. They have quite a bit of activities for the patients. The room she's in now is good. It's an older establishment, so some things are scratched up, but it's really good. They keep it clean. Every time I've been there it's clean and does not have an odor. She goes to the birdcage and watches the birds, and they have an open area that we can go down and visit her that maybe six or seven of us could go at one time, and they would bring her in that room and they've been very accommodating with me when I had to have more than three people there. They provide transportation, but she has not had to use it yet. I've had one meeting down there with all the nurses and the doctor. I have another schedule in about two weeks."
